Absolutely brilliant little family run hotel. lovely food, suitable for children. breakfast just right and filling. we were pasting though thorn, lovely setting and easy to find before heading off agin. we were in a family room, which was a brilliant size for us. bunkbeds, a double bed and a spare single, so more then enough room for us. shower room clean and great amount of hot water (which we always love and want) we stayed Jubilee weekend, it was very quiet and chilled. this is exactly what we wanted for out little family all in all very happy for our stay. thank you very much.

It was nice and handy for where we wanted to be. Close to a little park. Room was clean and had an ensuite. Towels were supplied. Heating available that worked. Kettle, tea/coffee available. Breakfast included at reasonable time. Could have what we wanted. Was able to see to my dietiary needs/allergy. Staff were friendly and helpful. Downstairs was roomy and plenty of space of where to sit. TV in room though we didnt use it. Desk/dressing table with stool. Wifi available that worked. Some local places to eat evening meal.

Could not have evening meal as there was a party and wasnt told before arrival. Said party was directly under our room so didnt quiten down until after 11pm. Cups not mugs for drinks and no alternatives to T/C which you would think this day and age there wood be. Luckily I had my own.

We are a retired Australian couple on a cycling holiday. On arrival at the property we were warmly welcomed, shown to secure storage and charging facilities for our bikes and then to a comfortable room. we sustained a puncture and the staff were great in providing local knowledge about repairs. couldn’t be happier about the staff cooperation.

a hand towel in the room would have been nice.

Perfect location to fit in with our planned weekend. Plenty of parking, and a great value stay Very welcoming, staff told us they had only just recently taken over the property. Warm and cosy bedrooms. Lovely meal at a reasonable price. Staff bent over backwards to pre-arrange extras at a reasonable price for our friends birthday, such as fresh flowers in their room.

As we had stayed over on the Saturday night, breakfast the following morning was available between 8 and 9 am. Would've liked maybe another half an hour's lay in and breakfast up till 9.30?

I got the feeling they don't really do the normal breakfast routine.

No complaints re the hotel however Booking.com gets the thumbs down. I sent a request via them for earlier check in to get ready for a funeral after travelling. It immediately came back not possible. The hotel never received the request and assured me it was possible.

I was made most welcome and the lady running the pub couldn't have done more for me. I was attending my brother's funeral so it wasa difficult day. But she was lovely to me and nothing too much trouble.

I had a single room which was fine, but the bedside table and bedside light was at the end of the bed and not next to the head of the bed. I don't think this is the fault of the people who run it. It's just there are no plugs at that end. Maybe change the bed round? I just put the chair next to my bed. There was nothing wrong that a bit of organising wouldn't cure. The room was Immaculately clean so no problem there.

The Punchbowl Inn is a very nice accomodation: my room was clean, comfortable and supplied with everything necessary for a splendid stay. In addition, I enjoyed the very friendly staff and the overall familiar and warm atmosphere.

Welcoming attentive staff, particularly with my food intolerance couldn't have been more helpful - offered substitutions instead of just items removed from the dishes.

Nothing to complain about after the visit I felt other reviewers' adverse comments were unfounded in terms of my own experience there

Really convenient location and a fine-looking building

The only thing I would have really liked was a bath, having done a lot of walking in the day leading up to my stay but as I was a late-in-the-day booker I was grateful to get a room at all and in the end a shower and a comfortable bed left me perfectly satisfied

Breakfast was served quite quickly and all food served was absolutely beautiful. We also ate the evening before and food also was absolutely beautiful..

There was nothing to complain about. Absolutely Great place to stay.
