Fantastic place, decorated with attention to detail. We paid for a double room and got a room with 3 beds, very spacious. Parking and breakfast included. Breakfast was delicious. What I especially liked were the complimentary sachets with decaffeinated coffee, as I am pregnant and it's not as easy as I expected to find decaffeinated drinks. There was also a complimentary body wash, shampoo, and body lotion which smelled amazing and fresh. The location is convenient, about 5-10mins drive from the town centre and the place is quiet which surprised me considering it's on the main road.

There’s a free car park in front of the hotel. The hotel room and ensuite were beautiful, very good size and modern, seemed freshly renovated. Very good water pressure and the heating (radiators) worked very well. The shared areas, bedroom and bathroom were very clean. The mattresses were firm and comfortable and the beddings good quality . The room (#5) had a very big window and the curtains were thick and long enough to provide a nearly total blackout at night, which is ideal as there are some lights on the road opposite. The hotel is on an A road but the traffic was quiet overnight (I always sleep with earplugs and I didn’t hear a thing, my husband didn’t wear earplugs and said the noise from the road didn’t bother him at all). The breakfast (included) and dinner were very nice and the staff very helpful and friendly. 5 star service all along! We staid with our little dog and she was welcomed in the room and in the dedicated part of the restaurant/bar. We highly recommend staying and dining at the Coach House Inn and we will definitely come back next time we visit Dorchester!

All staff were friendly and accommodating and nothing was too much trouble. Our room was spacious clean and tidy. Exceptional breakfast beautifully cooked with plenty of choice. Breakfast times were up until 11am which was nice. Room servicing was also excellent and once again very friendly staff. We would have no hesitation in recommending the Coach House and we hope to return next year. Thank You

Obviously the Coach House is on a busy road and we were aware of this when we booked. It could be a little noisy at times but that could not be helped.

It would appear a recent renovation has taken place which has provided an ideal comfortable facility for travellers. The room ws a good size with an ensuite containing a bath which is ideal for elderly folk such as us who enjoy a soak!! The staff were more than friendly. There was a good selection for breakfast and because breakfast was served until 11.00am it gave us the opportunity to have a coffee with family who visited after we had taken an early breakfast. The evening meal was interesting and very enjoyable with the chef's personal touches adding to the experience. The menu was varied and included the usual pub meal favourites.

Perhaps some lighter colours in the room decor although there are no complaints with the standard of decor. It's just a personal choice.

We stayed here after my partner completed the Jurrasic Coast ultra marathon and the Coach House was brilliant. The room was very large and the bathroom even had a bath! Which was perfect for my partners sore muscles after his race. The staff were very friendly and as there was no-one in our room after they let us check out at 12, as it had been a looong day. The room was clean and the breakfast is just what was needed in the morning. Couldn't recommend more if you need somewhere to stay.

Property… bar/restaurant/room has been fully renovated/updated to a very high standard creating a very pleasant place to stay/relax. I had a a double room as a single and it was quite large, very comfortable and with a big en-suite bathroom. Dinner and included breakfast in bar/restaurant was excellent as were all staff. Happy to stay again.

As by name, being a former coaching inn it is by main road, great for access but noisy if you need windows open. Not a big issue for me but find leaving a little note and complimentary earplugs often works in these situations.

The proprietress was very welcoming and helpful. We booked one night there for an evening meal and the food was good. It was comfortable and a convenient location. Nicely decorated inside.

It’s next to a main road. For me that’s not a problem but the traffic did disturb my partner. Although we did stay for a few days she did not get used to it.

A handy place to break the journey, very comfy big bed (room 4), room equipped to a good standard large and great bathroom. friendly staff and everywhere was very clean.

I found the room very warm, 3 radiators pumping out heat, I turned some off but couldn’t reach the control of the other, very thick duvet and the window seemed sealed shut, this effected my sleep. I was unable to lock the door from the inside as the button didn’t work.

The breakfast was excellent with beautifully cooked free range egg and top quality sausage. The room & bathroom were larger than usual.

The evening menu was a bit limited, but nicely cooked. On the down side for some perhaps, was that the room was right next to the A35 passing through the village. It's not a busy road late at night, but may be an issue for some.

The property has gone through several transitions in the past, not always successfully, but the new owners have made a fantastic job of refurbishment. The whole place looks really fresh. The breakfasts were wonderful. We had an evening meal here with family which was thoroughly enjoyable. The staff are friendly and helpful.

I was a little worried that our booking details (home address, etc.) were left on view in the lobby. I believe after voicing my concerns that this issue has been addressed.
