Valentine Guest House

The whole feel of the place, only 5 rooms, very near Weymouth's crescent shaped beach, the esplanade and the proximity to the city was all very convenient. The owners are very charming and have been running the property for a few years and their pride of ownership shows through. The included breakfast which you select from a menu the night before is very substantial and excellent -- keep this in mind as you make your choices.

The free parking is either around the corner, in residential streets so can be hit or miss while the pass they offer for the public parking is great but approximately a 10 minute walk away. Good idea to see if you can drop off your bags out front, get the parking pass and then head over to it.

good location, and about a 15 minute walk to town centre we stayed in a nice sized ground floor room , bed was very comfortable and had a nice sized fan, a small fridge which was needed for our medication, there was plenty of drawers and a wardrobe with a nice amount of clothes hangers . the hosts were very friendly and nothing was too much trouble, the breakfast menu had lots of choices and was cooked perfectly and arrived hot. we enjoyed it that much we have booked again for next year.

the only very minor thing (and I’m being very picky) was the wooden chairs in the room that weren’t very comfortable a couple of comfier chairs like ones I noticed on the other photographs of the other rooms would make it better

Caroline and Nick were fantastic hosts! Couldn't have been nicer, friendlier or more helpful from the moment we got there. The room was clean and spacious with everything we needed, including a fan which was greatly appreciated with the heat. As someone with a very bad back I do be weary of beds in any new place I'm visiting, but the bed was so comfy, firm mattress but a little on the medium side. The breakfast was fresh and delicious. Views of the sea from the doorstep was gorgeous and a very short walk to get to the beach! Perfect location, less than 10min walk from the train station, aswell as shops, restaurants, amusements, souvenir shops, etc along the same street.

Gorgeous guest house, rooms were refurbished and beautiful with big windows looking out over the beach. The owners were so kind and accommodating and even let us leave our things in the room while we walked to Durdle Door.

Very nice hosts Breakfast was excellent Location was great for us One bed out of two was comfortable.

Room 5; bed nearest door was extremely uncomfortable, had to sleep on top of folded duvet as could feel springs in bed. The other bed was comfortable( i know as i had that one first but swapped as sister was so uncomfortable. Didn't like the feeling of having security camera watching over you in dining room The cleaning could be improved in some areas, beds were clean but tea tray was dusty and we had to clean mini fridge before use, fire extinguishers covered in dust in hallways. While the breakfast was excellent, i'm not a fan of having to decide what i would like for breakfast the previous day as you don't know what you fancy til you wake up.

Brilliantly located with good views over the beach and Alexandra Gardens, good facilities, stunning 4-poster bed and a lovely personal touch from Nick and Caroline. Breakfast tasted excellent, good quality produce.

More a personal preference but found the mattress a little soft. Found breakfast to be a little small especially on the meats, maybe if the menu stated number of items or offered space to indicate how many slices of bacon etc. would be a bit clearer.

Everything thing lovely hospitable hosts, comfy smart room with ocean view and a decent breakfast to start you day.

Some drinking water in the room whever it be a jug of cold tap in mini fridge or a couple of bottles, I got super thirsty in mindle of night and I could get water but was hanging head in a sink...which is fine but 🙃 The fan in the room was also dirty although it's cold and no need for the fan with regards to temperature my partner like to sleep with noise and a fan is usually her weapon of choice, I did not want to turn this one on. #whitenoise

The location of the guest house is fantastic, as it is at the quieter end of Weymouth on the sea front. It is a 5 minute walk to the railway station and a 7 minute walk to the numerous tourist destination buses. My Mum and I really liked our cosy twin room which was very clean and the beds were comfortable. The owners of the guest house, husband and wife, Caroline and Nick were friendly and welcoming, and gave us helpful local information. The breakfast was good and there was plenty of choice and we hope to return to the Valentine Guest House next year.

No negatives, we were very pleased with everything.

The staff were amazing and very facilitating. The breakfast and coffee facilities were great. The bed was comfy, and I didn't hear anything in the night. The staff went above and beyond for us. Lovely little guest house perfectly placed opposite the beach. The house was very clean and there were no issues with our stay. Couldn't be much happier with our stay in Weymouth.

A bath would have made the stay perfect..

B&B conveniently situated 10/15 minute walk from restaurants, pubs, shopping centre and theatre. Hosts were friendly and welcoming. Bedroom and en-suite were a good size, bed was very comfortable. Excellent breakfast with a wide choice of well-cooked food. Tea & coffee making facilities. Free parking permit.

Parking is on the road and not necessarily within sight of the B&B. The radiator in the bedroom was situated behind a chest of drawers and, therefore, not particularly effective.
