The hosts had obviously made a lot of effort to freshen up the inside of the hotel which had a lot of character and our room had been recently decorated. There were lovely hanging baskets to the rear terrace and gardeners were hard at work maintaining the outside while we there.
Hotel messaged me asking me to pay them directly a few days before our stay despite me having already received confirmation of payment via Booking.com. Hotel member of staff was unhelpful when I rang to explain this and insisted payment was outstanding. I contacted Booking.com customer services to report the matter. A different member of hotel staff did then acknowledge payment after I sent them written proof but it was an unsettling experience prior to our stay. Room was nicely decorated but there was no socket near the drinks tray so we had to boil the kettle on the bedside table. Similarly no sockets anywhere near the wall mirror so drying my hair was a challenge!

The and attention to detail and cleanliness were impressive. The staff were lovely, freindly and helpful in making it a 'homely' experience. Big garden out the back, and a TV screen on the large porch area, away from the bustle of the main pub.
My room's shower was exceptionally compact. Nothing wrong with this, except I was thinking there are a lot of big people in Britain today, and they simply wouldn't fit! Noisy road outside, but okay at night with less traffic. I woke up on the sunday to an Ironman event outside, and a noisy spectator very nearby making whooping noises for hours on end! Like waking up to a psychotic parrot!

The location was excellent with easy access to Bowleaze cove and Weymouth town centre. It was clean and although it was situated on a busy road the traffic noise during the night was minimal until early morning. The room was spacious and spotless and attention to detail and little touches, selection of tea&coffee, biscuits, bottle of water and a sleep pack with ear plugs & eye mask ,although we didn’t need it. It was a very popular pub but all of the staff were excellent & couldn’t do enough to make our stay enjoyable. Overall my wife and I had a lovely stay and we would highly recommend it to anyone.

Really friendly pub, bigger than it looks, staff couldn't do enough for you. Nicely decorated room, decent size and a comfy bed. They had a couple of real ales on, common ones but well kept. We enjoyed a proper roast strange thing to say but, the best Swede I've had in a long time. Would definitely stay again if in the region thought, with breakfast included, good value too.
The pub is on a pretty busy road, it also happened to be really hot so there was a bit of noise, we were pretty tired so luckily, didn't really affect our sleep having three windows open.

Lovely Pub with good food and plenty of choice of beer. I had a 3 night stop over the 1st weekend of September. I could leave the car and jump on one of two buses that are very local. Rooms were good and clean. I will be using again as I have family that live in Weymouth.
There could be a little noise from the main road, but they proved earplugs to dampen down the noise.

Very welcoming atmosphere with friendly staff. Good size pub with different areas to enjoy. Especially the outdoor decking which was under cover accommodating a pool table and bar. The children’s play area is an added bonus
The family room was a lot smaller than envisaged. The tv was installed in a swivel arm wall bracket and when moved you could see the amount of dust on the back of the tv.

New people. Are trying really hard to improve the property as it was eft in quite a poor state. New management are really friendly and the food was excellent.
Nothing really. Being as it's a listed building they unfortunately can't improve the sound d if traffic noise. It was ok.

Your bar man is quite rude to people who are staying there . When asking for drink looks at you and walk away. Your ladies, especially Emily, are lovely he needs to take a leaf out of their book or go to bar training lessons. We've stayed in the pub for years and never had any staff be so Rude my be its women he don't like.
