Friendly staff. Breakfast very good.

Bathroom - dripping hot tap and shower. Had to park in a nearby 24 hour car park.

The hotel was in a great location, very close to Dorchester Town centre and all the necessary rail and bus links. The staff were very friendly and quick to point out local attractions and taxi services. The room was quiet despite being above a pub, and the bathroom had a reliably good hot shower (always very important!). The room itself was clean, pleasant and good value for money.

There was free WiFi, but the Internet connection to my room could have been a bit more stable and reliable. This was probably due to the location of my room in the building, but I was in town on business, so this was somewhat inconvenient when wanting to work from my room. The single bed was spacious, but the mattress could have perhaps benefited from an additional topper, as it was quite hard and you could feel the springs underneath.

The bed was very comfortable, the room was clean and spacious enough for one person. The owners were friendly and the food in the pub was good.

The wifi provided worked well in the pub, but I had very poor reception in the room. This meant that I had to go out in cafes and such to be able to work on my thesis project, the reason I came to Dorchester.

lovely little pub with very friendly staff. music isn’t too loud either but ends at midnight so no issues with noise. Sunday Roast on a Sunday is AMAZING!!! Nice location, really close to both train stations.

only downside was the room has seen some wear, carpet is VERY stained, sone stains on the walls and window as well as a latch broken on the window (luckily we could still lock it).

Everything was fine, it was a comfortable place close to the centre of town, with the feeling of a friendly local pub. The room was clean and comfortable, the staff were friendly, and the food on offer in the evening was very good. Breakfast was generous. There is also a large garden to sit out in.

Only a few little niggles. We were surprised that there was no soap or shampoo, but the member of staff explained it was company policy because of Covid, and he kindly brought us some liquid soap in a cup. For the full English cooked breakfast, I suggest that to avoid waste they ask people if they want all ingredients, instead of serving it all on a plate. (Not everybody wants baked beans, sausage or a potato cake, I was happy with just the bacon, egg and tomatoes.) I would also prefer a room without the large TV screens at all angles, but that is probably what most customers want.

Convenient for town centre and roads out of Dorchester. Close to facilities Friendly and helpful staff. Food good - great full English breakfast. Evening meals good value and quite a few options. Well-kept draft beers on handpumps. Great value - would definitely book again. My room was very quiet - and that's with a party going on in the bar!

No parking - but reasonably-priced corporation parking 200 yards away (with free parking 1800 to 0800)

Best pub dinner I have ever had in my life of 75 years. And I mean that! Especially the CHIPS. Congratulations! Also dinner was fantastic Value for money! Very friendly staff. I was a bit nervous about being the only woman customer in the bar at first but cheerful and friendly behaviour from other customers.

Mattress in Plaza lumpy. Time it was replaced. I had expected breakfast, but in fact really enjoyed sampling breakfast ta the Top of Town Car Park cafe.

The room was clean. Hairdryer and tea/coffee/kettle provided. Great location near the town centre. Excellent value.

The shower cubicle could do with a good clean, but it all worked. No breakfast was available, but we knew that when booking, and the Wetherspoons pub was close.

Mark and his wife,the owners and all staff and other friendly persons at property,lovely walks a few minutes away by River and olde tea rooms and interesting history of the town and now closed 1800 prison you can tour and wrongful public hanging of a young women,do visit the Hangmans House,now a beautiful thatched cottage close to the river walk

No proper parking at address,all yellow lines or 30 minute only ,did manage to park on small corner spot of property. Pay parking 3 minutes away.

No parking One of our party given the wrong room initially but this was corrected Bathroom had a faint smell of cigarette smoke and we could not open the window for any fresh air as painted over Blinds that didn't quite cover the windows instead of curtains meant room was very light early in the morning (mid summer)
