The room was luxurious, extremely well thought out & had its own individual, eclectic style. It was very comfortable with unique furniture & wall coverings. Lighting options were exceptional as I prefer low key so worked perfectly for me, but also adapts well for others wanting more light. Bathroom clean & bright with good size shower. My evening meal was of a high standard & delicious. Good menu choice. Lovely ambience. Despite only offering a Continental Breakfast during the week, it exceeded my expectations. There was a good selection of cereals, bread, pastries etc together with yogurt & an incredible selection of fresh fruit. More than enough to fill you up & start your day well satisfied.

There wasn't really anything I didn't like about the property apart from its location being so close to the main road, as I am quite sensitive to noise. However, I did still sleep well & appreciate it is not something that can really be addressed. warm, friendly environment comfortable, comfy, creamy, delicate, easy, and elastic

it is beautiful B&B in a stunning location! Had dinner at the Chateau’s Bistro restaurant, had the Camembert sharing starter, I had roasted lamp rump and my husband had chicken wrapped in bacon and stuffed with Wensleydale and cranberry, then we had desert which I had the Ferraro Roche cheesecake and my husband had the raspberry Bakewell with ice cream, all home made deserts! the Bakewell and cheese cake were huge! absolutely delicious food! hats off to the chefs! the breakfast again was delicious, plenty of choice from the continental and then full English was superb! I had one of the best nights sleep I’ve had in a while! so comfy and cosy! The decor was lovely, just felt like a home away from home but with luxury touches.

The location was ideal due being close to a venue I was working on. The Bed & Breakfast accommodation was better than I was expecting the room very pleasant and nicely furnished. I was late to get back, but had diner in the bistro and I must say yet again surprised with the quality of the meal. The food was tasty and piping hot and beautifully presented. This was up to the best and surpasses the The Ivy in Winchester I been to recently. It is now going to be the place to go when in the area.

There is nothing to really other than a few suggestions. Some bottled water in the rooms would be welcome and accepting this is a 3 star given how the climate is going air conditioning might be a great investment for the future. I would happy to pay double what i paid for as a single.

Wonderful friendly hosts...convenient parking and decor. Super comfortable beds and a great location, gorgeous dining and great breakfast. Everything was immaculately clean and well presented.....a really great stay x

If l was being picky (and l must stress, these are first world problems!) these would be that the particular room l was in was quite dark as the window was tiny and did not let much natural light in especially compared to some of the other light, bright rooms l walked past that were being cleaned as l was leaving ...and l couldnt get any proper connection for the TV so was unable to watch any of the film channels etc...BUT I must stress these are small niggles and did not detract from what was a wonderful stay in a lovely, well managed, welcoming place.

The location was really good and quite, lots of trees around and a lovely car park at the front. The host Toni was very welcoming and she replied to my email request, I even got a call from her husband Paul. I had dinner at the restaurant and oh my God, it was simply superb and so delicious what I ordered from Chef Paul. Breakfast was also very nice with 3 different cheese sorts and various cold cuts, fruit salad, lots of choices.

I have walking difficulties and I didn't liked it had stairs to go up, but all the rooms are on the first floor. Anyway, I booked it as I also need to go up the stairs when I'm at home, I just went very slowly the stairs up. I would go back to stay at the Le Chateau with Toni and Paul, no questions also if I need to go up the stairs again.

The owners and staff were excellent - efficient, pleasant and friendly. The food we had at dinner was excellent as was the breakfast with great choice and generous portion sizes and hot food clearly being made to order. The bedroom was exceptionally clean. The teas, coffees and biscuits in the bedroom were top notch and much appreciated.

The shower room was very small, but appreciate there is limited space in each room.

Lovely location, great and clean accommodation, terrific breakfast and evening meal, super service! Great value for money, restaurant is very popular (food was so good and fab menu). Really nice beer garden out the front and close to lots of great places to visit. I was on my own but the place is certainly family friendly too.

Couldn't keep my windows open when it was hot in the evening due to lots of smokers congregating just below my window - probably just me being fussy and didn't bother me enough to mention whilst there.

The continental breakfast served during the week was very good. There was lots of choice and the option of self-service was also good. The evening meal was excellent with lots of choice and the ambience of the food area/bar is lovely.

Perhaps a hot breakfast option during the week. When paying for our stay, their card system asked for a tip (on the whole stay). We would not have minded paying a tip for the evening meal, which was delicious, but it seemed cheeky to expect a 5/10/20% - their options - tip on top of what we were already paying for our stay.

The personnel was very friendly and nice. Rooms were clean and comfortable. The bistro offered very good dinner and English breakfast. Can be recommended! Walking in New forest among the ponies is a really unique experience. Stop by the acres down farm in Lyndhurst for tea and scones!

The hotel is charming but it’s not really a “chateau”, don’t be misled by the name.

Very welcoming and friendly owners. Continental breakfast was excellent with lots of choices including an assortment of fresh fruit, pastries, meats , cheeses, cereals , fruit juices coffee, tea etc. Comfy bed and fluffy towels, everywhere very clean and comfortable.

We stayed mid week and as it was quiet the bar was closed when we got back to the hotel at around 10.pm. It would have been nice to have had a drink and chat before going to our rooms after our evening out.
