The location and car parking were ideal. There was a warm sincere welcome from staff members. The room and its facilities were clean and comfortable. The room was quiet. We had breakfast on the deal when booking. The breakfast options were excellent and lovely food. We had an evening meal there which was all excellent and good value for money. Again, the staff were brilliant. Checking in and out was easy. After our evening meal we had a drink and sat outside on a front beer garden which had a good atmosphere.

The hotel manager was helpful and welcoming. He went the extra mile to organise a taxi for us at very short notice. The room in the annexe was comfortable and very clean. The location was peaceful but within a short easy drive of the M5 and Worcester. Breakfast was good quality with plenty of choice. The toiletries smelled gorgeous. Parking outside the room. We enjoyed looking at the old photographs in the bar of the beautiful historic building.

We had to choose our breakfast the evening before. The room had a tea coffee tray with cafetiere and top range teas but no milks or creamer and only one packet of hot chocolate in a double room. The following morning we had milk from the restaurant but we couldn't have a cup of tea when we got in late the night before. Just a small niggle but surprised at the lack of attention to detail in such an up market room.

absolutely everything, beautiful old pub in a beautiful location with great history and a very warm and friendly welcome. we only booked the budget room as we were there for work and on a budget! but would definitely stay again for leisure and book one of the larger rooms with a bath. that said our room was really lovely and definitely not budget! the welcome tray was very good. everything was so clean and comfortable and extremely well thought out. the food was delicious and a good options for all pallets and diets. the breakfast which was included in the price was also excellent. the owners and everyone working there couldn’t have been more friendly and welcoming. we travel throughout the uk and experience many places, and without sounding too gushing this is without doubt one of the best!! highly recommended. can’t wait to go back.

nothing to dislike at all. just wish we could have stayed for a month!

Lovely welcome. Room was a good size, nice sized bed, plenty of plug sockets. Plenty of good quality sized towels. Food was delicious. Location is beautiful. Parking easy. Wi-Fi excellent.

The lighting in the room was not great, nowhere to put makeup on as not enough light over any mirror. Fan didn't work in the bathroom and the lighting over the sink is poor. We were not made aware that we needed milk for our room. No telephones in the rooms so, we were unable to contact reception. The bed was huge but the mattress was old and lumpy. Locking the bedroom door was tricky but we asked the lovely ladies cleaning the rooms how to do it. Happy to pay for quality so felt that it was a little over priced.

Comfortable spacious rooms, staff very helpful, cheery and efficient. Have stayed before a few times some noticeable improvements to bathrooms. We ate in on the first night and our meal was nicely presented and overall good. Breakfast the second morning did not compare with our first morning, everything on my wife's plate was excessively greasy. I had eggs Benedict both mornings and on both occasions it was excellent

Having once slipped on soap and fallen backwards over the side of a bath when showering I hate it when no shower mat is provided. I think it should be law that accommodation providers should make such mats available for those that wish to use them. We would have preferred a choice of cereals at breakfast rather than being given the choice of granola or granola.

Smooth check in. Happy staff, excellent food. Definitely the kind of place where you felt you were being looked after. Nothing too much trouble, staff obviously trained well and always aware of anyone’s needs but in a subtle way. Will definitely stay again!

Nothing to dislike. There was an outside light that seemed to be on for quite a long while. Think it was on a timer. Not a major problem. Only noticeable cos it was so hot, ( due to the weather!) and we had the blind up to let more air in.

Staff were great- very sociable and friendly. Room was very comfortable, clean and lots of amenities. Breakfast was very good- had to order day before. We had 2 evening meals which were good too . Would recommend getting a Butcombe loyalty card before going as you get money off food on a Wednesday and points on beer plus money off accomodation- its free to apply from their website. Dog friendly in the bar and some rooms. Plenty of parking- I would imagine it may be difficult to get to without a car. There were 3 rooms in an annexe that I presume were for people with mobility issues- if you are in this category I would recommend booking one of these as the stairs to get to the rooms in the pub may provide a challenge for those with poor mobility issues. Very comfy bed- slept very well indeed.

As with many hotels that are dog friendly, there were poor facilities for disposing of dog waste- not the most interesting of topics I know, but an observation- unless there were facilities and I missed them. Good range of beers and drinks although I found them at the top end of my price range!

The room was really comfortable and peaceful we had a great nights sleep in an excellent bed. The bathroom was fine. The location scores 11 out of 10 absolutely fantastic pity we only spent one night there but we will return. The breakfast was first class and we regretted not eating there in the evening. The staff were superb in every way.

We could have arrived earlier to really enjoy the surroundings an an evening meal but cant blame them for that!! so nothing would be the short answer.

Location was ideal, being a 5 min drive from where I needed to be the next morning but also tucked away down a country lane, surrounded by pretty countryside. I arrived quite late but was able to check in earlier in the day, remotely. The Inn was so unbelievably inviting and bustling with diners. I was greeted by a lovely chap on arrival and nothing seemed too much trouble. My room was beautifully decorated and exceptionally clean. It was rather hot, with radiators blasting out but that was soon remedied. The homemade shortcake biscuits were a welcome treat. Breakfast was exceptional again. A 5 star stay and I'll definitely return. Looking forward to it.

The temperature valve on the bathroom radiator was broken, so it couldn't be turned down.

It was all great. Amazing views, great room, nice and clean. Had a nice selection of tea, coffee, water, biscuits, all the toiletries. It also had ear plugs and a spray for your pillow to help you sleep that was a nice touch. Staff were really friendly and helpful. The food was really great. The burger was excellent.

The only thing would be the room had no milk in it but it was quickly sorted when we went to the bar and got a flask full of milk.
