The food is good. Breakfast 🙌 dinner 🙌 atmosphere good. We had dinner on our first night which was great. We Went to a restaurant up the street on the second night which was good but not as good as the hotel. We relaxed at bar after. Owners are very nice and can't do enough for you. This is my third stay at hotel and would definitely go back. Have recommended to friends .

Hotel was all shut up at 9.30pm on the Saturday night when we returned from eating at the lorne. Would have liked a night cap but I think this was because it was quite and the couple do deserve a break when they can

The breakfasts were exceptional. Every item making up the generously specced hot breakfast came sizzling freshly prepared from the kitchen. Warm toast, freshly cooked eggs, bacon and bangers. the cafatiere coffee was strong and good. I actually stay in some posh hotels and whilst no devilled kidney or Eggs Benedict or Florentine, or truffled omelette I was a, happy camper. No skimping on the butter or marmalade. This is why they want you to specify your breakfast choices the night before - a bit controlling but in retrospect well worth the initial irritation. The dinner menu is quite sophisticated and well balanced from a foodie perspective, and well executed and presented. This is not comfort food but fine - ish cuisine. My room was a late booking and probably the most basic in this small hotel, but nevertheless had all one needed from generous double bed to a couch, TV and compact but functional bathroom. Staff levels are incredibly low but always possible to find someone and individuals all very helpful, some quite charming. The hotel is not quite seafront but is in a pleasant residential street a two minute walk from the West Bay seafront with a promenade with great Firth of the Clyde views. Also lots of grassy space to exercise the dog while enjoying the views.

Initially the impression was that the establishment was quite controlling eg. having to book a dinner slot well beforehand and having to choose one's breakfast slot and choices for the next morning, however this is a consequence of low staffing levels and once this is understood it is OK. The staff themselves obviously don't think dogs are adorable, and only being able to remain in contact with one's dog in the room or at the outside seating during fine weather was a bit negative. The bar area indoors is quite compact so not being able to bring the dog there is sort of understandable.

We stayed for three nights and had breakfast each day and dinner in the hotel on two nights. The food was excellent. Staff are very friendly and efficient. Hotel location is excellent, with beautiful views over Dunoon's West Bay and the Firth of Clyde. The hotel is clean, room was comfortable.

There is no guest lounge, with guest seating only available in the bar, as well as outside in the sun! It is a small hotel so the lack of a guest lounge is understandable, but it could be useful to be aware of this if travelling with children or planning a longer stay. Otherwise no complaints and we had a very enjoyable stay here.

Hotel is so clean and tidy. Rooms are pristine, shower was great, Bed really comfortable. I ate in the hotel each night rather than go out. The food was good, tasty and very hot. Breakfast was also excellent. As its a small hote,l it feels very relaxed. Two guys who were staying here for work said they stay regularly, they had tried other hotels before finding this one and it's definitely the best. I really enjoyed my stay. It's a small team so it feels very personal. I would not hesitate to recommend this hotel.

I really couldn't find any fault.

We stayed at the Park hotel, first thought is how homely the place is. We stayed in room 3 which is above the bar. The room was huge and spacious. The bed was comfy and clean. We had food at the restaurant, we had steak only thing that let it down was homemade chips and bistro salad would had made the meal! Unfortunately the restaurant was closed on Sunday but plenty of restaurants, takeaways. Breakfast was ok, guttered my scrambled egg was cooked in the microwave on Saturday, overall a very pleasant trip but I would say hotel needs some modernising and fresh lick of paint, modern carpets and furniture.

as mentioned some modernising needed.

We were very impressed by the Park Hotel. As regular travellers to Dunoon we hadn't stayed there before. Although the hotel was a little traditional (stylewise) it was spotlessly clean, comfortable and good value for money. The beds were comfy, linen very fresh, the shower superb and the towels white and fluffy. There were tea and coffee making facilities and I was offered the use of a hairdryer. Our room had a sea view and the staff were pleasant and attentive. Breakfast was great but as we didn't eat in the hotel in the evening we can't comment on the dinner menu. In addition, the hotel is in a good location for a pleasant walk along the front into Dunoon town centre. We will definitely return.

We had no complaints.

Room was clean with an excellent view over the Firth of Clyde and Dunoon's West Bay. Breakfast was excellent. I ate in the hotel one evening and dinner was really very good. Staff were very good. All those I met were Eastern European including from Moldova and they were friendly and efficient.

As far as I am aware the public rooms were limited to the restaurant and seating in the bar area, so a sitting room would have been nice, but of course it is quite a small hotel and this was not really a problem for a short stay.

A comfortable hotel, Ideal to explore the surrounding area, a good sized room and could take our dog, Location Close to town centre 10 minute walk and Reasonably priced with Good bar food and an excellent breakfast

. Dogs are not allowed in the communal areas of the hotel as it is very small, so the dog had to stay in the car if we went in for a drink or a meal. We did sit in the outside seating area with the dog but that is obviously weather dependant

The staff were very helpful and the hotel and room were clean also the meals were also excellent the quality and quantity were excellent could not find fault with our meals they were always piping hot and we did not have to wait long to be served.

As I am partially disabled I didn’t enjoy the stairs that I had to climb but they put me in a room that was just at the top of the stairs so did not have to walk very far once I got to the top and it was only one flight.

A small, friendly, family-run hotel that provides a warm welcome and excellent food. Clean with an excellent ensuite shower which has obviously recently been upgraded very tastefully. The owners are working hard to improve the rooms but understandably this can't all be done in one go. We would happily return.

Not much. This is an older building therefore opportunities for change are limited. The evening meal times could be extended by an hour.
