Very friendly host and comfortable hotel with lovely bar in good location for our requirements

Toilet in king room rather small especially the shower but for one night we managed

Received a very pleasant welcome on arrival. The hotel has a wonderful relaxing feel about it. The room was spacious with everything you could ask for. The bed was very comfortable, as were the pillows. The en suite was nice & the shower was very easy to use. Breakfast was absolutely beautiful. The Woodhouse Hotel Grill is well worth a try in the morning, as are the fish and chips served in the evening. All the staff were a credit to themselves & the hotel. Would definitely visit again. For non drivers there are bus stops only a few minutes walk from the hotel.

This is a nicely presented small hotel in a great location for Largs, Cumbrae, Bute. Staff member on arrival was lovely, friendly & she checked that all was well after I'd settled in.

Any sort of soundproofing would help - my through the wall neighbour was up watching telly by 5am & unfortunately you can hear every word. On leaving, the owner was clearly disinterested in me & my stay - no goodbye or query as to my night, just a gruff retrieval of the key. Bit disappointing.

All staff were helpful and kind especially Rebecca in the bar. The room was clean and my wife and I slept well. The breakfast was excellent.

Very friendly hosts and the location just outside the main touristy area of Largs was very quiet but handy for walks down to the promenade and beach. Breakfasts were beautifully prepared and served piping hot, a real treat.

The hotel format is combined accommodation and local bar with beer garden. While we were there in mid-May it was very quiet and the bar meals were very good. Our room was on the smaller side but more than adequate and comfortable. En-suite needed an update but the shower was excellent.

Location: good. The hotel staff were friendly and very helpful. It was out of season, so the evening meal was limited, but the food was good. The breakfast was excellent: freshly cooked, and with a good selection of fruit, cerals, etc.

It was as good as I hoped it would be. The price was reasonable.

The breakfast was superb and very well presented on a nice hot plate. The location suited me as I did not want to stay in centre of town. The hotel was only a 5 -10 minute walk from the centre which was a pleasant short walk.

The only thing I was not to happy about was not the hotels fault. I just felt if the curtains were wide open the house opposite was staring right into your room. Felt a bit strange if watching tv . However wasnt in room long enough to cause to much concern.

Breakfast was excellent. The room was clean & spacious. The outdoor area looked lovely but we didn't get to sit in it as it was raining the day of our stay. The staff were very welcoming

The furniture in our room was a bit cheap looking. The bar shut very early. We were hoping for a drink when we got back from our evening meal in town

Staff were very attentive and friendly. We decided to eat with you as well for dinner and we were both very impressed by the food. My husband’s fish and chips was superb and a really great touch was the homemade burgers, which although a gigantic portion was very very tasty. Breakfast was really delicious as well.

Property is an older property and if you really want to find fault with things you can, I thought the room and communal areas were very clean, tidy and homely, which is exactly why we prefer this type of property compared with hotels.

Very friendly staff in all areas of the hotel. Seemed like a good place to work. Breakfast was one of the best I,ve ever had-exceptional poached eggs and bacon in particular. Lovely beer garden to sit in for a drink or basket meal.Good quality fluffy towels and crisp white bed linenG

The kettle in the single room took ages to boil. An adapter plug would also have been very helpful.
