Ebor Lodge

The huge range of the 'cold' breakfast table was exceptional and the range of cooked breakfasts was equally wide. All the food was really good. The hosts were very friendly and helpful; nothing was too much trouble. My room was well equipped , clean, lovely bedding and the 'hostess' tray refilled every day.

I visited in exceptionally cold weather but the 'public' areas were warm and cosy. However, whilst my bedroom was fairly warm, my bathroom had no heating making showering chilly, though there was always plenty of hot water.

The host was really helpful. The room had everything I could have needed, it was clean, comfortable and had some character. They supplied a bottle of water which for me shows attention to detail. The breakfast was scrumptious. Full English. Other options were available. There was a lounge and a garden area which would have been nice to use were I staying longer. I would stay here again.

Bathroom area is up a step and not screened off which didn't bother me as such, it might bother some. The toilet was a a bit of a squeeze. And no bathmat. Shower was a bit slippy. I'm.sure they would have had one if I'd asked. Bit of a walk from main amenities.

I would say without doubt that Ebro Lodge exceeded our expectations. Our room was just perfect, very well decorated, spotlessly clean and a sea view to die for. Lots of little touches, good quality tea and coffee, branded bottles of water, plenty of biscuits and even little packets of sweets. Our bathroom was immaculate and well stocked, lovely clean fluffy towels, shampoo and conditioner and a modern Aquelisia shower. The breakfast was unbelievable with a great menu of choices. We chose the Full English which was enormous and extremely tasty. A perfect choice, very friendly hosts and the word ‘Perfect’ sums up a wonderful experience for my husband’s Birthday present. We shall return and certainly recommend You will not be disappointed. Above all, the price we paid was very reasonable.

Lovely breakfast, good choice of food and nice cold buffet as well. Room was a good size with a pleasant sea view and very clean. Tea/coffee/biscuits/sweets were great.

It was quite wet and the gutter leaked and it would pour onto the plastic window ledge which is surprisingly loud at night! The en-suite was a little cold as it had no heating and the extractor fan did not seem to work but it warmed up quickly with a shower. One of the curtains was difficult to move as it had clips missing and was a bit too bunched up.

Many thanks David and Pascal for another lovely stay at Ebor Lodge! This is my 3rd time staying here and it was even better than the previous exceptional stays! Everything about Ebor Lodge is fantastic - the bed was very very comfortable! - the shower was exceptional, the room was lovely and quiet, spotlessly clean. The breakfast was fantastic and David and Pascal are very warm and welcoming. There is so much care and attention to detail, making this such a lovely place to stay. Whenever I am staying in Eastbourne, I have no interest to stay anywhere else as Ebor Lodge ticks all the boxes and more!

Room was laid out well with alot of thought to detail. Everthing was spotless and we felt very comfortable. Breakfast was exceptional with good quality produce used. The hosts were very friendly and attended to our needs. We would recomend this B&B to our friends and family. Also free parking outside in main roasd which was a bonus.

Very difficult to fault anything. OK our room ws not large but due the well thought out design was pratical. Walk to main town is a little longer but that did not really bother us. Maybe one suggestion to add a USB plug in one of the sockets.

Perfect little B&B to rest after a long walk. We enjoyed our little room at the top of the house, with the evening light coming through the windows. Is was super quiet and cozy with everything you might need for a short stay. Breakfast was delicious, with plenty of hot options to choose from, as well as other bits on the side! The owner was very welcoming and friendly. We'll definitely be back next time we're in Eastbourne.

Bed wasn't the most comfortable, but considering how tired we were, we still ended up having a great night of sleep :) Also wifi was a bit patchy, but probably because we were on the top floor and far away from the router.

The place was lovely and we felt very welcome. The location was pretty good too, we didn't have a sea view from our room, but the sea was just across the road. A short walk from the center of the town. The breakfast was delicious and had a great range, you ordered your hot meal the night before and there was a buffet with continental breakfast available too. The place was spotless too, like really clean. You can tell that the owners really do care.

The room we had was on the smaller size, but had everything that was needed so it wasn't an inconvenience really.

Ebor Lodge is located on the sea front, approximately 10-15 minutes walk from the train station. We received a warm welcome upon arrival and were given an informative overview of the facilities. Our room was clean and comfortable with adequate amenities for our short stay, including tea/coffee making items, bottled water, and a fridge.. Free WiFi was available, and we enjoyed a wholesome breakfast in the morning. I would stay again.

Clean and comfortable accommodation. There was a warm welcome from David and advice about where to eat in the town. The breakfasts were very tasty with plenty of choice of hot food, all expertly prepared by Pascal. The on road parking was not a problem. We would certainly recommend this B and B.

It was quite a squeeze to get into the tiny shower room, but we understand this is all part of the design of the room. Maybe the large towel rail behind the door could be removed?
