Our stay was so fantastic we’ve rebooked. This hotel provides a real break from reality. The facilities and decor are modern, clean and beautiful. A feast for the eyes with design at the forefront. The service from all staff was impeccable. Staff were extremely accommodating and they provided a very personal experience. They went above and beyond, if you get the opportunity to have Cameron and Eric’s company at the bar you won’t be disappointed. When we were out we chose to return to the hotel to drink at their bar because the offering and standard of service was second to none. We felt like regulars, extremely comfortable, after our first night - the people and space felt familiar. A home from home. Thanks to the host, Eve, we can’t wait to return in August.

The check in and service was smooth and welcoming and while everything felt new (because it is) it still felt like there was a great deal of care being taken to keep things that way. I enjoyed the touches in the room (although very sad for a new hotel not to have air con as standard) and for a one person room the space had been used well and the bathroom was still a decent size. Very well executed and the aesthetic was contemporary without being cold.

Check in/ out times - while I understand that 3pm check in is fairly standard I think 11am is inadequate for check out. You don’t have 100 rooms to get ready for the next day check in, but an extra hour makes all the difference to a guest.

Fantastic, loved our stay- wish it was for longer! Restaurant and bar staff were brilliants. The food was outstanding, we have been talking about it all day! Thanks for making us feel so well looked after.

The style of the hotel was impeccable! The sea view room we stayed in was stunning, quiet and relaxing

The pictures for the sea view room were a little misleading, we loved the room but the pictures showed a bath which our room didn't have

No privacy in basement room due to window location. We were not made aware prior to arrival that our room was in the basement and the thing was that our room window led on to the back garden area where people walked past all the time. In the morning getting dressed this was a bigger issue because there was also a maintenance door right outside next to the window and the guy was in and out less than a foot from the window. We had to keep the blind down even in the daylight to keep our privacy.

The property was clean ,rooms were lovely and the staff were amazing .The breakfast was really nice

It would be nice if the hotel communicated to visitors before booking that the hotel has no lift and disable unfriendly.I was recovering from a recent surgery and struggled to carry my bags and climb the stairs to the top floor.I understand the hotel is a historic building and there certain features they can not remove to accommodate an elevator,but it would have been nice if I was informed

I liked the service of having your luggage taken and collected from the room. (thank goodness we were on the top floor). It was also nice to have fresh milk and a fridge, hate the pasteurised capsules hotels usually provide. The food was very nice and the staff were super friendly and very helpful.

I didn’t think to ask which floor we would be on and whether they had a lift. I am in my 70´s and my partner is 80 and we were on the top floor, which was a bit strenuous although we managed. Another problem was the closing of the bathroom/toilet door. It was a heavy sliding door which was very difficult to close. There is the tiniest of groves to get your fingers into and I immediately broke two fingernails! just left the door open after that. They need to put a proper handle on as I’m sure I’m not the first to have had that problem.

Personally, I can't recall a better hotel brekkie then the Port's. I chose house-made granola with coconut yoghurt to start, which was divine. It's hard to make a full English look beautiful, but this one was positively picturesque, with every item just so. That bacon! Yum. With great coffee and juices to accompany your choices, it's a great start to the day.

I think some customers would appreciate a lift. A separate guest entrance rather then walking directly into the dining/bar area, which is open to all.

This hotel is amazing☺️ We spent a great time at Eastbourne. We would recommend this hotel, because the staff are very helpful and friendly. We found the best hotel, the room was very clean and beautiful. We ate a really tasty food, and it looked great. I think we will come back soon there🥳 Many thanks👍🏼

Loved the decor, nice finishing touches. Room was nice and cozy. Food and cocktails were really good!

no real residents area which is a shame, very busy in restaurant/ bar when came back for a few chilled drinks. no milk in room for coffee am, didn’t realise you had to order as a selection available, could have been a check in question.
