Functional, a really good supply of food and refreshments and facilities for self catering. I liked the single room and there was a nice variety of welcoming communal areas. It felt very welcoming and relaxed with an excellent shower and other facilities in the room.

It’s positioned next to two supermarkets in a rather “functional” part of the town. The building has been converted (and, intriguingly moved) from a factory I believe, so all the windows are high up and there were no views. It served our purposes as a bunch of guys on a cycling weekend, but I wouldn’t come here with my wife or family.

Brilliant location, quiet yet within easy walking distance of supermarkets and the lovely town of Inverurie. Chris made me feel very welcome. The accommodation was fresh, clean and very well cared for. Superb choice of breakfast food. Loved the relaxed atmosphere and the freedom to come and go. I would recommend it and actually did recommend it to a potential customer before I left. Thank you for looking after me so well, Chris. Heather Hitchcock

If forced to comment on what improvements could be made, the only thing that I would suggest could be improved on is the mattress, which I found a little on the hard side… it wouldn’t prevent me from returning again one day though.

The location was fantastic I was in Inverurie for a wedding 12 minutes taxi from the venue at Logie House Chris even offered me a lift how good is that.

The room could do with air conditioning because of the really hot weather was uncomfortable had to use the chair to open the window . But Chris Explained they had to move the building as it was part of the Great North Of Scotland Locomotive Works Site apart from that was excellent.

The location , cleanliness and furnishings

The breakfast. Good selection of jams but a very limited selection of food. Many cereals .Same flavour of yogurts and no butter etc. Some cheese , a variety of yogurts, boiled eggs cold meats and some good quality bread for toast would be a suggestion. Stayed 2 nights but only ate breakfast first morning. Everything else was fine and though there are facilities to cook I dont really want to do this in the morning . Perhaps offer room only options

An excellent venue for a pre- and post-wedding stay. The rooms were impeccably clean as were the kitchen and lounge. Chris, the manager was really friendly and helpful and allowed us to leave some belongings at the Sidings while were away at the wedding. The kitchen was well stocked and had everything we needed for breakfast and occasional drinks etc. We didn't need to explore the town but it's within an easy walk of the main square, Tesco and Aldi and is right opposite the Heritage Centre so it was perfect for us.

The only drawback is that all the rooms are singles so it wouldn't be suitable for a couple.

Clean and comfortable room, the use of the lounge and the breakfast room is fabulous, with all the facilities to self-cater for the evenings in addition to an unfussy self-service breakfast. Everything is extremely well looked after.

Probably not something that is easy to address, but I would have appreciated some soundproofing between my room and my heavy snoring neighbour!

It was very very clean

There are no staff on duty at all. You let yourself in, your key is on a tag with your name on it. You let yourself into the room and then go exploring. The kitchen is very well equipped, almost to commercial standards, and was spotless. The fridges are filled with milk, yogurt etc There is bread for making toast, cereals etc. Coffee and tea are provided. There are also two microwaves if you want to cook your own food and a fridge set aside to store your own food if you want to. There is also a residents lounge and there are tables in the kitchen for eating your meals.

‘The Sidings’ is an extremely quiet, comfortable, laid back property. It smells nice, the carpets are clean, kitchen is immaculate, as are the rooms. The room (disabled room/wet floor shower) was an adequate size for a solo traveler, and bed was very comfortable. Shower room was so spotless, and the shower had great pressure too. The TV actually worked properly, which is so rare to find these days. An early January visit meant the heater was needed a few times, as was the window for ventilation, all worked perfectly. As there was no other guests, breakfast was a DIY job in the kitchen, which suited me perfectly. 6 different cereals, fresh juices, tea, coffee, chocolate brioche things, fruit, bread for toast, everything you could need. The radio was good company! There’s plenty of parking available nearby, and on the premises too, with one disabled spot. EV charging isn’t available on the premises, but there’s a full CCS, Chad, Type2, and destination chargers a very short walk away.

I loved this place, and will absolutely be back. But there’s always a negative to every property, but this place didn’t have one.

I particularly liked the location (convenient for the town) and the open breakfast room/kitchen. Chris the owner was very friendly and welcoming.

I thought the sound insulation between rooms wasn’t as good as it perhaps should be. The first night I heard my neighbours moving around and talking etc. On the second night I didn’t have neighbours and it was nice and quiet.
