AC Hotel by Marriott Glasgow

We arrived extremely late at night after a nightmare train journey and were met with a very friendly member of staff, and were able to have a wonderful nights sleep. Loved the minimalist but warm decor, double beds were large and very comfortable and love that there is feather bedding. Staff were extremely friendly and the bar/dining area was delightful.

Great that there is a real door on the bathroom, however whyyyyyy does there need to be a glass panel on there? Even if it’s frosted glass, please just use solid doors for maximum privacy, I’d like to retain some mystery with my partner, please.

this is the first time we have stayed at this brand new hotel i spoken to craig the general manager b4 we arrived the room and views were outstanding .we arrived at the hotel and was checked in by sonia what a really professional friendly lady .we spoken to elle during our stay she was also very professional and friendly .the food was amazing the bar staff were so helpful .its a shame we only stayed 1 night as we had some business in glasgow the hotel is right next to george square with the xmas lights and market.i would definitely recommend this hotel for its class .food and professional friendly staff on leaving today we were checked out by elle and met neil on reception thank you marriot for such an amazing welcome stay see you all again soon

the only thing i would say sadly i smoke and outside the restaurant there was no bins or ashtrays anywhere everyone was putting there butt's down a drain .i know it not good to smoke outside any hotel but sadly people do keep up the good work guys thank you also to the restaurant staff the food was amazing

From min walked in door loved this hotel and Liam on reception was just the best made us feel so welcome and showed us around the facilities lovely touch . Room and views amazing and super modern 👌 Hazel bar is just unreal atmosphere and best cocktails and service. Breakfast ten out of ten . We give this hotel ten out of ten. My new favourite hotel in Glasgow. CLASS with amazing service And I must say when I called hotel pr visit Ellie on reception what a breath of fresh air so cheerful 😊..

Excellent choice at breakfast. Good quality fittings and furnishings.

The lights in my room were controlled by switches and also a pair of PIR movement detectors. The movement detectors cut the lights if no movement was detected after about 5 min. Unfortunately the coverage of the movement detectors didn't include most of the bed area. As a consequence the lights went out frequently whilst I was on the room and also, during the night, I had to get out of bed and move around before I could turn the lights back on. The solution is to adjust the coverage of the movement detectors or fit an additional detector.

The staff were lovely, the room was comfortable and clean, it's a beautiful hotel that in general that has been thought out well. The location was perfect. I didn't have breakfast but the restaurant looked very nice.

My only gripe is that the lights in the room are on a timed sensor, meaning that if you're relaxing in the room, reading or watching TV every fifteen minutes you're plunged into complete darkness! The best way to get them back on was to go into the bathroom because just standing up or waving your arms around didn't work. It's such a shame because everything else was perfect and I probably wouldn't go back because of that one thing.

Where do I start! Firstly, the staff were amazing from the minute I walked in until I handed my key back upon departure. I was surprised with a room upgrade after mentioning I'd mostly be working in my room for the duration of my stay ad that a nice view would be appreciated. My room (and view) was AMAZING - it really made my stay that much more special. It's very rare that I will give 'top marks' for anything but was so happy with my stay, the facilities and everything (room service food from restaurant Hazel was also amazing!) Location was perfect too - easy to get to the shopping area/restaurants and convenient if traveling by train.

I honestly don't have anything bad or negative to say about my stay, it more than exceeded my expectations and I will 100% go back. I guess if I could suggest anything - something super minor - I would probably just ask for non-dairy milk options to be available in each room or upon request.

From the moment we arrived Neil at reception made us very welcomed. We were only there for 1 night but instantly wished we were staying longer. The hotel was beyond what we hoped it to be. The decor was stunning, the facilities were brilliant, the staff went above & beyond. They all worked so efficiently & made it look effortlessly. The room was perfect. The seating area in the reception & bar area was honestly the best I’ve ever seen. The selection of drinks the bar provided was excellent. You wouldn’t need to leave the hotel for the evening. Everything is provided for you. The restaurant was stunning. Breakfast was perfect. A great selection of food & a menu if you wanted something a little more or a speciality coffee. I honestly couldn’t have been more happy with our stay & we will be back soon. I love this hotel. A huge thank you to all the team. You should be very proud of yourself.

The staff were very friendly and helpful, pointing out the dining room whilst taking us to the lifts. The hotel is furnished and decorated to a high standard and our room was a good size and well furnished with an ultra modern bathroom. There was a great choice for breakfast - highly recommend the eggs Benedict. We decided to stay in an eat in the restaurant and the food was delicious then had drinks in the bar - again very comfortable. Overall would highly recommend a stay at this hotel - will definitely return.

Received a lovely welcome from the receptionist. Sorry didn't get her name, but she was on the middle desk and I think she mentioned she was new into a receptionist role. She showed us around right to the lifts which was nice. The room was really comfortable. Just the right temperature and such a comfortable bed. We especially loved the thick bed topper. The flat headed shower was fabulous and loved the new fluffy towels. A couple of suggestions which would have made our stay perfect, the socket next to the long mirror when drying hair is too low down which means when drying hair (and I'm only 5ft 3) was difficult. It would be great to have a mirror above the desk which could be used as a dressing table/work station? Another thing we noticed was the sensor that clicks electrics off when there is no movement was a pain when I was in bed reading...I had to keep getting up and wave in front of the sensor to put the light back on. Lastly the remote control did not work in room 401 and we couldn't figure out how to manually turn the TV channels on? Everything else was great and we plan to return.

I only really saw the room. That was nicely laid out, good tabletops, and a place to put one or two suitcases. That gets overlooked more than you’d realise. Also modern, good facilities, plenty of socket and charging points, and an ideal sized bathroom. Bed very comfortable and shower hot and powerful!

I believe the rooms have some kind of smart motion detector that turns off lights and aircon when no motion is detected? I initially thought it was power cuts to the hotel, but then figured it out. Not sure about that…. Everything was good. Need new batteries for the remote Control though. I couldn’t get the tv to work without manually turning it on at the tv. But then couldn’t change channel. Minor detail. And needs a toilet brush (that’s just being civilized!)
