It's a posh hostel so no breakfast as such. I liked the staff, they worked really hard, super friendly. The booking experience was not so good and on a few occasions I was given a different room, or bunk to the one I'd booked. Met such a wide range of people

Other guests.. So inconsiderate! Slamming doors at 3am. There was a lot of noise fr the night clubs, but I knew they were in the neighbourhood and there seemingly was an issue with putting sound proofing into the building. There are a number of repairs needing done.. Blinds missing in the pods, the place needs a deep clean and the coffee machine didn't work all week

Honestly for the price I was expecting something far worse. When I turned up and walked into a beautiful plush reception/communal area I was really surprised . I asked how much it would be to upgrade from a dorm to a private room and again, was really shocked when it was only an extra £35 for two nights to have my own room, so I did that. The corridors are clean as a whistle and beautifully decorated, when I walked into my room the first thing I noticed was how good it smelled- the Reed diffusers are a nice touch. Fresh real plants on the side too. The complimentary earplugs were helpful as it’s very central and the noise from the city street was loud but clearly they’ve considered that and done all they can to accommodate: even the Alexa in my room was handy as I could play some rain sounds and set my morning alarm easily. The bathroom was a two second walk across the hall and it was clean and fresh the whole time. I would 100% come and stay again, the price is fantastic for such a central hotel and it doesn’t feel at all like a hostel. I wish I could have made more use of the beautiful reception and bar area but I was travelling for work.

The was only one toilet on my floor which didn’t have a very good lock and the door was tricky to open, which I can imagine would be an issue at busier times for the hotel, and might be a safety/privacy issue for some.

Good Central location lovely big room with comfortable bed.

We hadn't realised that the room had no ensuite and that the toilet and shower rooms were shared by many others. Otherwise, we would have rated this more highly.

This was my first time travelling by myself, much less staying in a hostel/hotel by myself - the Revolver was an excellent first experience and will definitely return there in the future for an overnight stay or long weekend in Glasgow. Staff were helpful throughout my stay and always friendly, they even upgraded my room to a private one as I had requested during the booking process if such a room became available. They also offered when I signed in to give an extension to my signing out time if I needed it, which I didn't need but it is very considerate of the hotel to offer that to customers. The location is in the centre of Glasgow so most of the city centre's attractions like the shopping centres and the Modern Art Museum are within walking distance. The bedroom was clean, tidy and nicely decorated with a selection of freebies - including ear plugs to account for the noise of the nearby pubs and clubs. Plenty of storage space for bags and suitcases. Nearby bathroom's facilities were clean, tidy and well-stocked.

VERY NOISY. Mostly from outside due to the pubs and clubs nearby the hotel - they do give you complimentary ear plugs though, so as long as you know how to properly put them in the noise shouldn't be an issue unless you are an incredibly light sleeper. In that case you might want to invest in your own earplugs. Also the large print on the wall is lowkey terrifying. Thankfully I was able to forget about her presence on the wall and got to sleep just fine but she is probably a lot spookier than intended.

great location by the square… easy to get around to most of the big sites. the hostel is well furnished and the en-suite bathroom in the female dorm was the cleanest I’ve had in my 3+ months of traveling.

I left my bags during the day on last day. while they provide baggage storage free of charge, all the bags are just left out in the reception area. while the staff says they are there to look at them, there were no tickets given or more security. when I came to pick up my bags I just grabbed them. who’s to say someone else could have just come to grab mine? who’s the wiser? would be better to at least have a ticket check in place though I would feel better about a secure room or storage locker.

The beds were so comfortable! I would lay on that bed of clouds all day long if I could. The guy at reception was very accommodating as I wished to swap rooms as I couldn't reach the top bunk. Apparently if you request ahead of time for the bed you would like they would make that happen. It was really nice and quiet in the rooms. There was also a TV chill room attached to each section. Although I didn't use the bar area it looked very nice. There were games and books to choose from. I loved that they played catchy music in the corridors and that you couldn't hear it from inside the room. Despite being above the bars and clubs the room was very soundproof. The location is brilliant, right slam centre of the city. 2 minute walk from St. Enoch.

The only thing that kept me up was the people in my room. Everyone was setting their alarms for different times, at the crack of dawn. The person above me kept talking and singing in his sleep but there was nothing wrong with the room. Some people took slightly longer than others in the bathrooms so there was a small downside to the shared bathroom, though it really wasn't that bad.

Revolver hostel was really neat and clean . The toilets and washrooms were regularly cleaned.The seating area and lobby was awesome . Rooms were good too. They have a vanity room which was really very useful. Location wise, it is the best. It's just around 2-3 mins from George square and almost the same from Gallery of Modern Art. It also has a lot of eateries, restaurants, pubs nearby and even night clubs for those party lovers to chill out They have an in-house cafe and restaurant which comes very handy if you want to either have a cup of coffee/pastry or even burgers and chips if you just wanna chill out and have lunch/dinner at the hostel itself. They also conduct some activities for the guests and it's really fun.There was a Barbie bingo game on Sunday night during my stay and it was so much fun. The winners got free tequila shots.Wohoo 😊. The amount of effort the team puts in to make the stay comfortable is commendable.

The location is in a great spot, close to shops and George square. The reception is a nice area to hang out and meet other people

We weren’t aware that it was next door to a club until we received the booking confirmation, some information about that would have been handy before hand as it was really noisy. Also check in is from 3pm but our room wasn’t ready until after 3, a girl in our room had to wait until 4:30pm for her room to be ready! The privacy curtains on most of the beds were damaged and didn’t really do much, most of us just used a towel over the curtain instead

Staff was very helpful in getting me a taxi at 5am and a cup of coffee, he got me some towels but l hadn't the time to wash my hair as the rain frizzed it out, l had been going to the bus station for an early bus to Portree Skye so this was the most reasonably priced and nearest. Great that you have 24hr staff and very clean. l.had thought there would be a kitchen but went over the street to El Paso for entertainment and a lovely steak.

I hadn't realised how low the bottom bunk was, but l managed it. Bit disappointed them having no towels dry to have a shower that evening.
