Radisson Blu Hotel, Glasgow

We have selected the Hotel based on other guests positive comments and good location of it . We arrived to the Radisson Blu Hotel from Glasgow Airport by taxi costed us £ 28 . The check-in process was easy . The location is perfect and it's just 5 to 10 minutes walk to famous and busy Buchanan Street via Argyle Street were there are shopping areas, restaurants, cafe's and major sights. George Square. Queen Square. Buchanan Shopping centre. There is a bus stop near the hotel as well as the Central Train Station . The bedroom ( Superior Room ) was good with view to Central Station , nice decoration , there are iron , a bottle of water , tea table and good WiFi .The room size is good . We have not tried the hotel breakfast which I believe costs £ 21.50 . The check-out process was easy and the staff were very cooperative. The hotel is highly recommended and definitely will stay again when there is a Chance.

The property was recently renovated and the rooms were lovely and had all the items one needs in a hotel room (good coffee and tea, water, nice toiletries, comfortable bed, etc.). My kids loved the snacks and drinks in the lobby. I think the hotel will be even better when all renovations are completed and there is a gym and pool are completed. Staff was extremely thorough before the trip messaging any questions they had about our stay.

They said online that the facility had a pool, so we were disappointed when it wasn’t open. They did tell us they were doing renovations before we arrived but I did not realize it was also to the pool and not just the room. Also, this was our first time in Glasgow-hotel was great and very close to the train station and also a pick up spot for the hop on/hop off bus. However, this area of town got a little crazy on the streets in the late afternoon/evening (especially on the weekends). Possibly a different part of town for kids would be better/quieter, but my kids did love the arcade and bowling at St Enoch’s Center just down the street.

This is a stunning hotel! Spacious, beautifully furnished and comfortable - the food is excellent! We had an afternoon tea and breakfast at the hotel and both were exceptional. Staff are friendly and attentive and despite being busy it has a really relaxed vibe. Great for single travellers, couples or families and perfect for exploring Glasgow and the surrounding areas as it's so close to travel connections and the city's shopping areas.

We were in a room with an adjoining door to the next one, which unfortunately isn't well sound proofed so the movements of the guests next door disturbed us through the night. The leisure facilities are under renovation which I appreciate couldn't be helped.

The room was modern perfectly comfortable and more than adequate for our trip. We stayed two nights to enjoy Glasgow City Centre and it proved to be the perfect location for everything that we had planned. My partners ordered the breakfast as this came highly recommended and although I though it was quite pricey, I was gutted when I had to put my fork down as it was one of the best I think I have had. I do not know where they sourced their haggis but it was absolutely the best I have had. A great place for a base in the city.. and dont be a daftie... book in for the breakfast you wont regret it. loved everything about it. absolutely stunning hotel. warm. friendly ,helpful staff. the staff member guy who brought out our tea to front lounge was a diamond .polite and helful. even to the young man in the bar sunday night. x

i hate to mention this but it put me of my breakfast, lady who works the nitchen came out to check the hot breakfast items. and rubbed her face and then proceded to put her ring finger up her nose. which repulsed me. i am very fussy on food hygiene and this put me of my brekfast

the breakfast was amazing! I loved the variety and it was the first cooked breakfast that's included square sausage which was a winner. I had also mentioned the stay was for a birthday so the complementary strawberry's and chocolate with a lovely birthday message was very much appreciated! I also had the best pornstar martini in the bar. Lovely staff.

The pool was closed on arrival which was slightly disappointing as this is why I booked this specific hotel however I understand these things are unavoidable! Maybe an email to inform us of this would have been nice but this wasn't an issue.

There's a lot of renovation work going on at the hotel just now but, and I like this, the rooms are being renovated at a point where it's a good idea rather than essential. The standard of cleanliness is superb and the reception staff, and concierge, are absolutely the best possible team. Welcoming, professional, friendly and extremely helpful.

The disparity between the service throughout the hotel, which is impeccable, and the Grahamston Bar isn't as startling as it was but I think there's a way to go before I'd fully recommend this part of the service as being representative of the standards as a whole.

From check in it was a VIP welcome , well in hospitality everyone is VIP but the front office staff went the extra mile to ensure our 1st impression was unforgettable😃 One of the front office ladies ‘Marina’ I think 🤔was super friendly & helpful. A special mention also goes to Camron the night manager for helping me change my reservation to the correct date. Lastly I would like to say a big thank you to the restaurant ladies for the awesome service, refreshing cocktails & delicious finger foods from the menu. We ordered the beef sliders and some spicy hot chicken served with passion fruit & an Iron Bru sorbet/ice cream . Thank you very much for the 5* hospitality, we will definitely be back

The stay was amazing and the staff even more so! When booking the hotel, in the special requests I shared that we were celebrating, with no intention of this being followed up or even acknowledged. However on arrival to the hotel, we were met with congratulations, a room upgrade and a free drink at the bar. Once in the room, there was a hand written card, bottle of prosecco and a selection of sweets and fruits. I cannot fault the staff at all, they went over and above for us and it did not go unnoticed. Everyone was so kind and lovely.

it’s central in the city. A calm oasis right at the heart of ‘gallous’ (Scots for a bit wild!) city of Glasgow.

The GLA staff are wonderful!!! A true Glasgow welcome; friendly, quick, professional and warm hearted. A Scottish welcome at its finest. (And this is my home city so I don’t have tourist goggles!!) Attention to details and a massive lovely breakfast! I have stayed in Raddison Oslo and CPH and they may have to work hard to compete on service! You have access to all the best bars, clubs and restaurants right outside the door or you can use the huge gym or enjoy walks along the River in minutes! Well done Glasgow Raddison Blu.
