The hotel was good .easy yo find great location rooms were good

On arrival we were told there were no rooms for us and we would need to get a booking. Com to phone them .we were also told that it hadn't been paid for and that there was nothing more they could do for us until youz contacted them. The guy at reception was really cheeky, and even though I had all the paperwork and emails, he said there was nothing he could do!! Then he changed his tune and said he would sort something out and gave us the rooms but said he still hadn't been paid ! I was really upset and embarrassed as I had organised it for my self and 4 friends .But everything else was good!

Great hotel in a prime, central location. Fantastic staff, particularly Connor, who was incredibly helpful and knowledgeable. Perfect gentleman, huge credit to the establishment.

Very, very minor point - loose tile in bathroom. Not an issue, really. Would definitely use this hotel again.

fantastic location, all the staff were so friendly and nice. room was small but perfect for a weekend trip as a base. the rooms were cleaned every day

room was small! on the surface it looked lovely and clean but we kept noticing little things. the shower curtain was moldy. the tiles in the bathroom weren’t cleaned in a while. then as we were packing to go home we found, what looked like, a blood sugar testing strip on the floor so I’m not sure how well hovered it was.

I had a room with a single bed on the 4th floor with a cloakroom-sized ensuite shower room. The room furniture includes a desk with chair, tea/coffee facilities and a tv. The location is excellent, being right beside Glasgow Central train station. I got a good night's sleep and the room was a very reasonable price compared to others in the city and given its location. Both staff I spoke to at reception were very nice and helpful. There is also a good punjabi restaurant next door so if you fancy the buffet you won't have to go far.

The tv remote was a bit old and grubby and didn't seem to be for that tv so tv channels were limited. There is a venetian blind in the room which doesn't block all the light out so if you're a light sleeper it may be an issue but it wasn't a problem for me. Some curtains would sort that out.

The location for a traveler needing easy access to train and/or bus was excellent. The location felt safe and was easily walkable for sightseeing and shopping too! The staff was amazing, so kind and helpful and friendly. The rooms (I stayed twice within 2 weeks) were a bit elderly, but quite clean and comfortable. There is a nice little pub downstairs. And though it smelled amazing, I didn't get to try the Indian restaurant.

There were some raggedy corners and a tiny bit of mold at the tub, but things like that don't bother me if the beds are wonderful and there is plenty of hot water and see friendly faces when i walk in the door. I guess the thing I disliked most were the bottled soap dispensers. I thought they were very hard to use.

Location, comfort, thorough welcome, cosy bar and adequate good value breakfast with excellent coffee. The hotel is a step away from Glasgow Central and is close to a variety of good value food options (on the other side of the station), shopping and historical/cultural/tourist sites. I loved being there and would be happy to stay again.

From the arthritic lift to the state of room carpet and shower recess, and the two-channels-only TV, the accommodation is looking a little tired and in need of a thorough check by management to refresh the place. I really liked the attic room and bright 90’s wood panelled decode, but some attention to detail would really lift the place.

Nice sized room with a large double bed. Tea & coffee facilities were good and the bathroom was a nice size. Staff were very friendly and helpful and I got a nice welcome when I arrived. Check out time is also nice as you don't have to rush to get out of the room in the morning.

My only tiny gripe was that the tv only had one channel on it (channel 4) and it was difficult to work out how to turn it on. A spare blanket or something would have also been nice.

Fantastic location, bang opposite Central Station and right in the thick of it. Lots of great restaurants and bars all around, plus a mini supermarket, corner shops etc. The bed was comfortable, the room was clean, the staff were pleasant. The room was a decent size and there was a kettle and hairdryer. I always find hotels far too hot but the windows in our room opened fully so it was easy to get some cool air. Our room overlooked the bins but I only heard them put the bottles out once over the whole weekend and it wasn't in the early morning. Great for : anyone wanting a base to explore the city Not for : disabled guests or those wanting top range in-room luxury.

The hotel building itself is tired and badly in need of refurb. The lift wasn't working while we were there, which didn't bother us as our room was on the first floor. I'm not sure what they would do for a disabled guest as there are a lot of stairs. The grout round the bath was old and stained and the tap handle came off in our hands. The shower was an over bath type which was OK for me but far too low for my boyfriend. It also sprayed water everywhere and had an annoying clingy curtain. Superb water pressure though. Several lights didn't work in the room, and our TV could only get two channels, both of which looked like they were being beamed in from 1987 in terms of picture quality. Still, it was clean, decently priced and a great location so we had no complaints.

The gentleman at reception on our arrival was lovely ,very friendly and helpful. He made a great first impression and made us feel very welcome . The hotel was very clean ,our room was surprisingly quiet despite being very central in Glasgow city centre. Very warm room which welcome after being out in a very cold Glasgow . Very good value for money ! We would definitely stay again if we were planning on staying in Glasgow again.

Although the rooms were clean ,the rooms do need a little TLC ,especially the bathroom ,but despite that the rooms were very clean and it wasn't off putting .

The staff were very friendly and helpful. Bobby was the stand out excellent staff member, closely followed by Michael. Nothing was too much trouble and they made me feel very welcome. When I first went to my room after checking in, my room smelt of smoke, so Bobby changed my room straightaway and carried my bag upstairs for me. The lady who cleaned my room was also extremely friendly and flexible with when my room could be cleaned.

The television did not show BBC channels at all (although it did in the reception area), something which perplexed us and was a little irritating as it would have been the channel of choice to watch as our visit coincided with the week after the death of Queen Elizabeth.
