The breakfast was adequate. We understood that at this excellent price the breakfast could only be a "continental" breakfast, but I would have appreciated something (small) savoury as well as the sweet options available. On the Continent, hotel breakfasts usually include at least some sliced cheese. Even some peanut butter or marmite as alternative spread to jam and marmalade would be nice.

There was no bedside surface. Maybe they could install a little bedside shelf - maybe above the bedhead as I could see there was no space behind the door for a bedside table.

The food was amazing - James had a sunday roast and he absolutely loved the cheese sauce with the cauliflower and broccolli in it! I had the steak pie and this had lots of delicious meat in it and the potatoes were superb - covered in a light mix of butter and herbs which was lovely - the veg were cooked well but still firm and it was all just wonderful. We were also very pleased to see the original cornicing in the room - a connection to it's historical past and days gone by.

The room was very nice but smelt rather fusty - I tried to open the window but couldn't. There was a lot of condensation on the window which is probably the cause of the smell. It was such a shame but didn't spoil our visit.

Everyone was so nice! I came around one in the morning due to my flight being delayed multiple time and I had someone welcome me in and show me my room! there was a great continental breakfast in the morning from 8-9. the room was just as described in the description with a shower and sink. the toilet is just around the corner from most of the rooms and is always clean. i even had to check out at 4:30am and they lovingly packed a lunch for me since I wasn’t able to grab breakfast. I was very lucky to stay here on my travels and if I were to come back to Glasgow, I would definitely stay here again!

nothing!

Hotel is 4 train stops from Glasgow Central, easy to navigate around. The bar/restaurant was great, breakfast there every morning and food and drink in the evenings if wanted. Staff were really helpful and kind. Bar is well-used by locals, especially when there's a Scotland game on. I wanted to support a small hotel and be with locals rather than loads of tourists. I'd definitely visit again, and stay at this hotel. They provide teeny bottles of shower gel and fresh towels daily, very clean room.

Nothing.

Arrived late and left first thing so very little time to use amenities, have breakfast etc, but exactly what was needed. OK it's not the Ritz, but for a short notice booking close to central Glasgow, less than £40 for the night was excellent value. Room was small but perfectly clean and tidy, area seemed perfectly fine. Two minutes from a train station, I was at Central station 5 minutes after leaving the room the next morning. Will definitely be using the hotel again.

In general the over night stay was comfortable. A good old style Hotel with high ceilings. the beds were comfortable and clean. Plenty of Coffee/Tea/sugar/Milk etc. The room was also clean and the wardrobes had plenty coat hangers. Nice cosy Pub downstairs which was full of people but the noise was limited to down stairs as there are doors and windows to block the noise out. The staff where very helpful with any additional needs that should come about. Breakfast was continental, short and sweet. On site parking but in a confined area. Access to the main road is easy and access to local facilities is right on the door step.

There is a notice on the Bathroom door stating that the hot water should be run for 2 mins prior to getting a shower. Great but came shower time and I had to run the water for 10 mins plus but only to Warm. Still not hot enough to shower. If the stay was for more than one night then I'm sure this would of been sorted out.

this hotel is excellent value for money! It has Parking in the grounds and is minutes away from the train station where you can get to Central station in about 8 minutes. The local bus stops are also nearby and Glasgow airport and Braehead are a short drive away . Ross Hall hospital is less than 10 minutes walk away so the hotel is ideal if you are attending or visiting the hospital. The breakfast included in the rate was quite sufficient.

Location was good for me because I have family in Craigton, a short bus ride away. Buses to city centre are very frequent and bus stop is a 5 minute walk from the hotel. There seemed to be ample parking at the hotel as well. There's also an Aldi a short walk away. The staff were very accommodating. Because of train strikes, I had to amend the dates of my stay slightly and they were able to make that happen. Also, I asked for an iron and they quickly provided that. For less than £50 a night, I'd say this was great value for money.

Staff were absolutely lovely people! Helped me with a late check in as my flight got in late. Room was nice and cosy with a shower and tv and sink. Bed was comfy. Breakfast was very nice had a chocolate pastry and orange juice. Staff allowed for a late check out which was very much apprecited. There is a food shop close by and crookston castle. Felt very safe as a solo traveller and very welcomed. Location is also great for public transport which was very easy to use.

The staff were so friendly and helpful on arrival. The actual bar was packed when I arrived but as soon as a member of staff spotted me I was checked in and shown to my room . The hotel was decorated traditionally with a lot of tartan and pictures of Rabbie Burns but it was tasteful .I had a single room booked which was small but very clean and had everything I needed .

My only small problem I had was the shower in my room didnt heat up but there where showers available in the shared bathrooms so I used that instead .
