quickest check in ever, close to Ovo arena

our river facing room was hard to keep cool, air con wasn’t up to the job. Bar staff good except for when we ordered food and drink at the same time they decided not to bring the drinks out before the food but after waiting ten minutes or so i asked for the drinks again which they came out with shortly after. an hour later there was no sign of the food so I asked the manager who checked the chits and I reckon they’d accidentally cancelled the food order. the manage to his credit sorted it but not all the food order came out and no cutlery. Not as if it was cheap at 250 a night

The receptionist was very, very friendly and extremely helpful. It was a stone throw away from the OVO which was absolutely perfect as we we were going for a concert. The hotel room was great and cozy and we had a lovely view of the city. Also, surprisingly quiet even after a loud concert and being next to a busy road. The breakfast was great. We loved the waffle maker.

There were some hot options for a vegan for breakfast like the potato scones, beans, tomatoes, greens, and mushrooms. That would be the only thing just a couple more options like sausages or even vegan bacon would have been amazing. Oh and having an alternative to Alpro because they are not crueltry-free.

The staff were very friendly, it was clean and comfortable.

One tiny little issue would be maybe sort the bar out, the range of wine wasn’t great at all and was very expensive. I couldn’t even order a glass of Shiraz as it was only sold by the bottle. When asked why me staff member told us they could do cocktails then when we asked for one another member of staff told us they didn’t do cocktails. So maybe that needs to be sorted either the hotel does provide them or it doesn’t. The gin I received was warm with no ice being given due to not having any, no garnish at all and being far to overfilled to the point where it just tasted like a glass of warm lemonade.

Location was perfect 10/15 mins walk to lidl McDonald's and other restaurants and 34mins walk to the main shops like Primark TKMaxx boots Tesco Nandos subway super drugs I will definitely come back staff was very professional and very friendly. The Queen room we picked was perfect and the view was beautiful at night over looking the light up bridge

The gym was so small it's a small room with 3/4 treadmills I went to the gym at 5am as I wanted to be alone while I work out by 6am 2 ladies came in to work out and that room already felt over packed. Avoid going after 8am literally you cat even swing a cat in there. I wasn't happy that the cleaners didn't even clean the units in our room and they didn't leave any toilet paper Avoid ordering food from Just eats they charge you so much money just to deliver it and the restaurants to so long to deliverthe food .Just explore the area all the food shops are very local

All was well.Met up to our expectations.

We had a late check in and there was no water bottles in room. Joe was very accomodative and we were told to help ourselves from fridge. However on way out I took 1 bottle but I found morning staff rather rude and was not at all polite.I mentioned Joe and was told that was yesterday and today you have to pay. I just put the bottle and walked out. There were couple of customers present snd I didn't want to make a scene over a bottle of water.Im sorry I had to leave with a sour note

Liked the location and onsite parking the staff as always very friendly in Glasgow. Mid-day check out very reasonable with an added bonus of having an iron and iron board in the room.

The toilet roll holder was loose from wall as was the toilet seat and air conditioning quite noisy. It would have been nice to have a little biscuit with the coffee and tea. These are only very minor issues

Great location for visiting the aardvark SEC or ovo Glasgow centre about a mile away maybe l have stayed here before 19 years ago when at aardvark and knew it to be so handy so wished to stay again as just walk across. Fridge in room always handy for wine or milk. Breakfast was great specially home made waffles. Lovely outside seating on the Clyde

Used o be city inn and served 80 shillings beer sadly they don't know also we could sit outside without a alcoholic drink after 1opm licencing laws of Scotland but no wine

the location

There was a mixup regarding dates. I initially booked for period 9th to 11th December then realised I should have booked 8th to 10th and requested a change of dates. You advised me that the change of dates wasn’t possible which was fine but apparently informed the hotel that the dates were changed to 8th to 10th. When we arrived we were initially informed that there was no booking for us, then we were advised that we were a no show for the 8th. I showed them the emails from you and explained that the issue was between the hotel and you. We got the room for the 2 nights at the price we had paid you.

Location as we were at O2 Hydro for a concert, lovely clean room, comfy beds, safe & small fridge, good toiletries in the bathroom. Quiet at night. Good selection for breakfast. Tables cleaned quickly for next guests to sit down.

Bar too small for size of hotel & was unable to eat in resturant as fully booked. Didnt offer option for bar snacks & had to order room service & eat in room. Thought it was a cheek that they were going to charge £5 to deliver it to the room so we took it up ourselves since we were in the bar.

Stayed the night for a concert at the Hydro not realising how close the hotel was to the venue, nice modern room, a little expensive for the date booked but on cheapest price absolutely worth the money. Room service really quick, apart from food not being to hot which is expected coming all the way up from the kitchen. Bar staff were great late at night, let me order multiple drinks and take them up to the room. Easy enough checking in and great stay over all, back garden bit was very nice and an absolute vibe at 2am for a cigarette, again great location and quite nice views, apart from scaffolding in front of window which was partially blocking the “river view” but didn’t bother us at all. Over all great stay!!

Of course the scaffolding in front of window and workers right in front of my window but not much can be done about that. Lack of plug sockets but not an issue at all to me during my stay.
