Hotel is in great location for SEC Hydro. Room was great- good size and great amenities.

Breakfast was shambolic- no cutlery, most of the food was missing, juice but no clean glasses, one coffee machine and no tea bags. nothing cleared so whole eating/sitting area was a mess. Staffing looked chaotic- same people running check in/out, bar and breakfast meant there was a lot on them and they were all nice but appeared stretched. It may have been staff shortages but this led to a real feel of poor breakfast experience.

Room was spotless and the bed was very comfy! We stayed as we were attending a concert in Bellahouston Park nearby and it was surprisingly easy to walk back to afterwards

Only complaint was that we went to the bar for a cocktail on our way out, the menu says to ask about the margarita flavours so we did and were met with a confused look by the bartender who told us there is only one kind of margarita. The cocktails he ended up making us were very strong and bitter. However when we returned later on it was different bartenders so thought we would try again. We asked again for a margarita and the bartender was very kind, he was new and had not made one before so took a little bit of guidance from the other bartender as he was a little unsure. The margarita ended up being lovely and we made sure to compliment him on this as he did a great job

- Staff loved our dog - felt very welcome and spoilt - Dog toys available upon arrivato - The dog could be with us at breakfast - soundproof rooms - Best iron and ironing board and facility I've EVER used when staying in a hotel - poop bin nearby - plenty of grass round the corner - plenty of reasonable priced parking next door

You cannot switch off the sensor activated led light under the bed - it startled the dog a couple of times A Matt for under the dog bowl would be practical and save the carpet from drops of water around when the dog has a drink May I also suggest a doggy towel to dry their paws from the rain Irining room on 6th floor out of order, but staff gave us access to the one on another floor.

Love the atmosphere and decor. The rooms are lovely modern and comfortable. The location is great. 20min walk to glasgow Quay for things to do. Prime position for SEC events and glasgow centre. Rooms are extremely soundproofed, even beside a busy motorway and subway station, no noise is heard from the street. Didn't hear anyone in the corridor either. Beds are comfy. Bathrooms are lovely, tidy and modern. Great shower and the shampoo conditioner was lovely. Staff were lovely and extremely helpful, lack of a fridge in room but happy to provide an ice bucket and ice. Easy to validate parking to get a reduced rate of £8 per day. Free pool table by the bar is a bonus too.

The lack of a fridge in the room is disappointing, and paper cups provided for hot drinks are particularly sustainable. That's probably the only negatives for the whole place. At a push, ide comment that when laid on the bed watching TV, the LED lighting around the glass shelf is sort of eye level and a bit bright.

Location is great for SEC (shame my gig was cancelled though!). Nice, friendly staff, happy to help and answer questions. Room was a good size and had good facilities. It’s nice to have an armchair rather than sitting on the bed. Shampoo/shower gel etc in the bathroom was nice. Room was quiet, didn’t hear any noise from other guests.

Bit of an awkward one as it’s in the hotel description that breakfast is included, but when I printed my confirmation it said “no meal plan” then when I checked in I wasn’t told/reminded about the breakfast being available. So I should have remembered, but equally it would have been nice to have been reminded on check in.

Modern style of interior, tries to convey the style of a hostel rather than that of a typical hotel. Rooms with modern interior and fancy lights. Good bath and shower + hair dryer provided. Air conditioning works perfectly.

The Moxy is situated not too far away from Argyl Street, Kelvingrove Park and the walk into the city centre is just 15 - 20 minutes, but the building trapped between river and motorway means noise once you step outside and opening the window at night therefore is not really an option. On the one hand, good modern hotel; on the other hand, quite a bit away from the centre and so coming back during the day to enjoy the hotel and get some rest is difficult. Especially in that respect the price is slightly too high.

We were supposed to be attending a gig at the Hydro (sadly it was cancelled) however, the hotel was perfect location for anyone looking for somewhere to stay near the Hydro. The Exhibition Train Station is also only a short walk form the hotel which takes you right into the centre and was only £2.50 for a return (with a railcard). We try and stay at a Moxy hotel wherever we go as we love it so much and to see they have listened to reviews and provided extra pillows was a real treat - slept like a log. Super comfy, clean and staff were so helpful and friendly. Highly recommend.

My only gripe is the cost. It has definitely gone up in price considerably since we first started going to the Moxy which, in fairness, is understandable due to its growth and the current cost of living crisis. If you are looking for a friendly, comfortable and quiet hotel then it is worth the money (especially as it has a free to use gym if that's your thing) but sadly the cost did almost result in us not choosing the Moxy this time. Luckily there was a last minute drop in price so all was well and we could still stay at our favourite hotel.

The place was fab. Very modern decor, without being over the top. A very welcoming reception with and even an unexpected free cocktail! The rooms were small but very clean and comfortable. Temperature was easy to control and the room was very well soundproofed. Even in a room right by the lifts we couldnt hear anything. Bathroom was again, small but clean and functional. Easy to book a taxi from reception by simply pressing a button. Reception area/bar was comfy and relaxed, even has a free pool table which we took advantage of. All the staff were lovely and I would definately stay here again.

Atmosphere was great. Loved the decor. Rooms lovely and spacious. Very comfortable bed.

There were 2 smalls issues that I had. There was no grab rail in the shower which made it difficult for my partner to shower due to having disabilities. I feel it’s a small thing that could be added into certain rooms and would be really beneficial for a lot of people. Also, I’d asked for 2 extra pillows to be told no, there is none. I’ve never had this issue at a hotel before and for my partner again due to her disabilities, it made it more difficult for her to get comfortable as she sleeps sat up.

Brilliant location for the Hydro, with a super clean, quirky and modern interior. The room was a good size with a comfy bed and good shower. The staff were really lovely on check in, at the bar and in helping us with a few queries. We played a few games of pool and had some drinks with friends at the bar- really enjoyed our stay. There for a concert? Keep an eye on the music and the mirrors in the lift… they may leave a special message ;) Nice touch! Would definitely stay again… and that’s considering I have plenty of free options in Glasgow!
