The Gleniffer

The staff were all excellent without exception. Breakfast was ok I do like fruit and yoghurt but unfortunately they didn’t have any and I prefer a buffet but they were very accommodating as far as possible. We loved the location near the Gleniffer forest park and close to bus stops. Also across the road from a very well stocked little store , an excellent takeaway offering Indian food , fish and chips and more, and a Chinese takeaway that was unfortunately not open in the day we had decided to try it, AND an excellent icecream shop that stayed open until 10pm.

a nice clean hotel with friendly staff

arrived for a 2 night stay monday / tuesday to be told no evening meals served on a monday/tuesday night not what i wanted to hear after being up since 4am . then after being told no evening meals i was told cooked breakfasts start at 8am but could have cereal ,tea ,toast before i leave at 715am not very filling on cold mornings perhaps the hotel might change the policy on breakfast times i was not the only one disappointed about the evening meals and late breakfast information

they kept my luggage until it was time to check in, offered cup of coffee in their restaurant until such time, restaurant at the hotel is public to the community, popular, food was good, there are only 6 rooms, quaint, plaid carpets, there is a public room for rent; there was a memorial the day I was there, (there COULD be parties so double check before booking) arranged for a taxi pick up to the airport, very helpful staff

If I recall correctly, there was no mat in the shower to prevent slipping

From the moment we walked through the door we were made to feel at home . Staff on reception are great and happy (no airs and graces ). The room was lovely with a king size bed it was still airy . The window had been opened for us before arrival but it wouldn't have mattered as there was a fan in the room (much appreciated) . The bathroom was decorated top to bottom in tiles and there were plenty of towels left out for us . Plus the toiletries that were there complimentary were appreciated . It's the small things that mean the most ! We went to eat in the restaurant and the meals are very fairly priced . The fish is a must !! Although the burger looked amazing also . We got a shock when the bar manager ? Bill came across and said he remembered my partner from Arbroath back in the late 70s early 80s 😲 so they had a lovely conversation while I sat there with my mouth open haha . What a memory this man has 😊 it was brilliant seeing my partner so happy and remembering things from back then (he doesn't have the best memory after a stroke ). Thanks Bill you're a star ⭐ Ok so now to drinks ... Pretty well priced for a hotel . Breakfast. . The menu for breakfast was really good Fruit juices Yogurt Cereal Full Scottish breakfast Veggie breakfast Vegan breakfast Eggs Florentine Eggs Benedict Kilted eggs Stornoway eggs So safe to say there was definitely something for everyone. We where the fro an Engagement party that turned into a Wedding. But if I come back to Paisley I wouldn't hesitate to book into the Gleniffer. I can't fault the place at all and that's pretty exceptional for me haha .

Great staff, even though the kitchen was closed the manager, Colin, was able to offer me a good range of food and what I ordered was well cooked and really tasty. Nice bar area Large room with great walk in shower Easy check in and check out Manager was happy to put a football match on TV that I wanted to watch in the bar area

There were a couple of small things that needed attention on my room but they didn't spoil my stay and when I mentioned these to the manager the next morning he assured me they would be rectified

Excellent breakfast, large room and extremely clean. Great value and close to Glasgow centre and the airport.

Staff were a little unattentive in the morning. No one was around ar breakfast so I had to go to the office to speak to the manager to get served. The hotel has a large function room so the events can go on quite late.

Scottish breakfast was excellent and included in the price of £58 with 10 items after juice that included: bacon, sausage, Lorne sausage, mushrooms, tomato, baked beans, two eggs of your choice, Stornoway black pudding, haggis, potato scone, toast with tea or coffee. Exceptional timely, freshly cooked to perfection - the best quality in each ingredient.

No lift.. only stairs to the bedroom. staff very helpful in carrying suitcases to the bedroom floor. Very kind of them.

The food served in the restaurant for my evening meal was excellent, the starters of Stornaway black pudding bon bons was tastiest black pudding I have tasted, The Gleneiffer stack for the main course was also without fault, The room was clean and well presented and was ideal for my needs, Then came breakfast, I was not disappointed, A full Scottish and probably the best I have had and I have had a few !!!

Both the room & ensuite were spacious, well equipped & clean. The bed was comfortable. The breakfast menu provided a good choice & the cooked meal well presented & of good quality/tasty.

Room wasn't serviced on a daily basis which seemed strange, however it didn't matter to me & I'm sure any issues would have been dealt with promptly as the staff were helpful when I left the room without my key & needed access at a busy time

ideal wedding venue , beautifully refurbished, everything went like clockwork due to very well trained , polite , welcoming staff . very friendly atmosphere great food . my partner has start of dementia and other health issues and every member of staff we came across could not be more helpful! from asking for a doggy bag at wedding lol to the wonderful housekeeping being very patient with us in the morning check out . oh and best breakfast I have ever had! haggis bacon topped with poached eggs and peppercorn sauce all on toast yummy , well done to all hotel staff we had a wonderful stay!
