Dakota Glasgow

Very comfortable and relaxing . We got home in the evening after the show we were at and the tv was on playing relaxing music and that was just a nice end to the night while we had drink from the complimentary mini bar in our room . Im not sure if every room has a complimentary mini bar or just the suits , but that was a nice surprise to find this out during check in and that for me was a nice touch to have , my wife made short work of all the complimentary chocolate and and crisps. Overall very nice room and the staff were very pleasant and friendly .

The only small issue I found was the lighting in the hallway of our suite , when I turned on the lights it seemed bright but dimmed down very quickly . I had to use the torch on my phone so I could see what I was doing whilst making a coffee .

We had a beautifully decorated room. The bed is incredibly comfortable, and the bathroom is spacious with a good shower. We enjoyed using the amenities in the room, which were refreshed every day. The staff were friendly, professional, and very responsive to our needs, and the service was pretty seamless with very little waiting times the hotel is located centrally, within a 10 minute walk to the Buchanan street, galleries and surrounding attractions. which were refreshed every day

There are some evident inconsistencies in service, especially around housekeeping. We had to call and ask for things several times.  While the location is central, there is nothing that is immediately within reach, there’s also quite a bit of road works around the property. The hotel has dark and moody lighting everywhere, which normally would be fine, except we were traveling with a baby. It would be good to have the option to have bright lights when needed. The gym is off the property, around a five minute walk, which is a little inconvenient in the rain.

Staff were friendly and welcoming. Room was spacious, minibar/fridge was well stocked at all times nice addition to the room. Great location stayed before and it was great and will stay again.

Only thing was that the bath sheet was stained when we went to use it so we never. There was 2 small, curly hairs on the bed and 1 big, long hair wrapped inside the face cloth when we went to opened it. Luckily we brought our own, that’s leads us onto the fact that we were drying our own face cloth on the towel rail and when the room was cleaned it was taken. Apart from that great hotel and room was clean.

Dakota was a weary traveler's dream, rewarding through its excellent staff, its elegant amenities and its chic luxury. The room was not only spotless, but a delight to be in, discovering the attention to detail given to the furnishings (pure new wool blankets/throws), plush slippers, exquisite toiletries, and an amazing and cohesive atmosphere between the room and the entire property. Great WiFi, too! Friendly and knowledgeable team at the reception! We would gladly stay here again, because it felt so good to relax in such comfort and style as offered by Dakota.

Regrettably, we didn't stay long enough to enjoy Dakota thoroughly.

I’ve stayed there often and it’s very consistent and high-quality. Comfortable beds, excellent bathrooms, and a terrific ambience. 

The restaurant has very limited food choices, and when you do eat there, you are bombarded by music that really ruins the atmosphere of such a lovely and classy place.  was told the volume and choice of music was determined by the “central office“. Perhaps the people at the central office should rethink their choices when it comes to loud obnoxious music in a beautiful restaurant. 

Attention to detail was spot on! I had mentioned that it would be my partners 25th birthday and staff wished him a happy birthday on arrival, there was a lovely card and chocolates in the room and after our fantastic meal, a special birthday desert was brought out for him. This was really appreciated! The room was perfect - very clean and comfortable. Staff were exceptional, very friendly and accommodating. In my eyes they went above and beyond to make our stay special and for that reason we will be back.

The dressing table area needs better lighting and a different chair - I couldn't really see myself in the mirror when seated due to the chair being so low to the ground and I struggled to do my makeup due to the lighting. Also, no mini bar/ fridge. Everything else was fantastic :)

Clean and modern hotel. All staff were very polite and attentive. Massive comfy bed. Sky tv available. Staff had left chocolates and a birthday card in our room for my husband which I thought was a nice personal touch.

Paid extra for an executive room as it was my husbands birthday, apart from the size there wasn’t much point in it as the complimentary mini bar was disappointing for the extra money paid. Crisps that went out of date on the day of our stay, two beers and some cokes. Not worth the extra £70/£80 in my opinion. maybe our mini bar hadn’t been stocked correctly. Preferred my previous stays in the classic room.

booked this hotel for a surprise for my daughters 40th birthday and had paid it in advance for her my daughter and partner checked in and she was delighted with this hotel had a good night checked out the next morning when she got home she realised that they had taken money from her bank account to pay for her stay that had already been paid for when she phoned the hotel to tell them this it took them a couple of days to realise that they had made a mistake about taken the payment from her further more she had to wait a few days for the hotel to put the money back into her bank account so this caused a bit of stress to her so sorry will not be booking this hotel again her surprise birthday was ruined

We thoroughly enjoyed every minute of our stay in Dakota. We had an earlier flight than originally anticipated, and staff were so accomadating. The whole theme of the hotel is so sleek but cozy. The rooms were fabulous and comfortable. The hotel was spotless clean. We had dinner and drinks in Jacks and there was a delay in my husband's meal which wasnt a huge deal to us but the manager went out of his way to come iver an apologize ans give a discount on our bill. Service was fantastic.

There was some building work going on beside the hotel which we didn't mind but was a bit noisy.

Lovely comfortable room. It felt very cosy on a grim wet day. The decor is very soothing and calm. The area around the hotel is quiet but we were able to walk to the central shops and restaurants in 10-15 minutes. Staff were welcoming and efficient.

The lighting is dim creating a calm moody atmosphere which is lovely, but at times a bit of extra lighting in the room would be useful for reading/ applying make-up. Other than that one minor comment, we loved the decor and everything about the hotel.
