The owners Rachel &; Liam are lovely! Nothing was too much trouble. Jazzy our dog loved it and it's so good dogs are allowed to breakfast & dinners with you. They give you privacy in your room i.e not coming in to change towels etc if you'd prefer that, but any request is not any trouble for example milk is left outside your room. It was good for me as I have fibromyalgia and needed to rest. The food was amazing, Liam is such a good cook! The curry is to die for! I'm still stuffed! Very clean place. Shop across the road. I can't praise Rachel, Liam and all the staff enough, best place I've ever stayed!

Nothing. Everything was brilliant

Liam & Rachel are really welcoming. The food is so good. Homemade and generous portions, like HUGE! Definitely book in advance for an evening meal as they fully book up most nights. Breakfast was lovely. We had a dog friendly room and it was very spacious. Crisp clean sheets, fluffy towels, nice toiletries and plenty of tea, coffee and biscuits. Cannot fault the hospitality (locals were happy for us to join in for Wednesday quiz night) and we would definitely stay again if venturing back to Wales.

Harlech is a little too quiet for us but that isn't the Queen's Hotel's fault. Location for exploring, the beach and the hotel is excellent. Beach is stunning!

Great hotel. The current owners have done a lot to turn the place around, have modernized and it is now a lovely place to stay. It has parking but also right next door to the station. The beach is very close by and has just wonderful sands. Our room had a view to the castle and we slept well. Comfy bed and nice shower. Tea and coffee in room. Clean and tidy with adequate space for hanging clothes etc. Corner shop over the road. Nicely cooked breakfast - perfect eggs.

Hotel was fine although we were there in winter so may be more boisterous in summer. Steep walk up to castle but you can drive up. Food offer limited in winter although the owners will cook for residents. Otherwise the town is a bit dead off season but can get train to Barmouth.

Fabulous hosts directed us to spectacular waterfall walk and stunning village in Snowdonia. Walk out the door and up to the castle or down to the beach after a great breakfast!

Was concerned when drove up and saw school and train station, but the central location was a tremendous boon. The shop across the way perfect to supply picnic sandwiches and snacks for excursions. Likewise worried about getting suitcases up steep stairwell, but the anti slip covers did the trick.

We liked everything. A great place to stay. Rachel, the host, is lovely & hospitable. Fantastic breakfast & evening meals, highly recommend choosing the B&B option & booking evening meals there. Order a cup of tea, you get a lovely big teapot. Very clean, spotless, comfortable & warm accommodation. The view from our room was of the castle; fabulous view to wake up to. A great outdoor area too; again, very comfortable. It really is like a home-from-home atmosphere & environment.

There was nothing that we didn't like.

The location is absolutely amazing. The castle is only 20min away on foot and the beach a little over half an hour. Stunning view from our room facing the castle. The hotel is newly renovated and everything was done with taste. I really liked the decor. Also, the owners were very welcoming and helpful. The food was good and fairly priced. We had dinner on our arrival The whole experience surpassed our expectations. I couldn't be more happy for choosing The Queens Hotel

Nothing to dislike

Team were extremely helpful and opened the bar early so that we could watch the Wales v's Portugal rugby world cup match. There were very helpful and the food was great and plenty of it. Nice walk into the centre of Harlech and we came back via the steepest street in the world. We have also visited the other steepest street in the world in Dunedin. New Zealand. Both are very steep but also very different.

The weather

very clean, bed was comfy and despite the Hotel being on a main road it was quiet. An ideal location for visiting the castle or going down to the beach with the dogs. Liam & Rach were the perfect hosts and very friendly, they couldn’t do enough for us and we would like to thank them again for their kindness. They had recently won Four In A Bed and we can see exactly why, would we stay here again YES YES YES and will 🥰 if they will have us 😂

A great stay at Queen's hotel,Rachael and Liam a lovely couple who made you feel welcome,nothing was too much trouble,staff lovely too.Great location ten minutes from the beach.Good breakfast and the evening meals were tasty and large! .Lovely setting with lovely garden back and front with a great view of the castle.Room was lovely,very clean with a comfortable bed and crisp white bed linen.Very dog friendly.Wouuld definitely recommend.Thank you Rachael and Liam we will be returning.

There was nothing I didn't like

Everything! The pub is really nice and welcoming along with the landlord and landlady! The food is really good quality which are reasonably priced along with the drinks. The room was really spacious, comfortable, clean and with everything we needed. The bedroom was comfortable, with all of the basics you need. The bathroom, again was really clean with again everything we needed! We'll certainly be back again!
