Firstly I should point out that this was the cheapest place I could find to stay in the area and bearing that in mind if contemporary decor and top drawer fit and finish matter to you then maybe this isn't the place for you. For me and both of the friends I went with we appreciated the friendly host, the comfortable beds, the excellent breakfast and the fact that each of our three rooms had a bath. The weather had turned a bit colder - it was late September - and we asked if the heating could be turned on and it was which was much appreciated given the sky high cost of doing so at the time of writing. There is a helpful booklet in each room detailing local walks, shops and restaurants, an outdoor seating area and the location was excellent as a base for touring Snowdonia. We wouldn't hesitate to go back.

the rooms and decor is dated, continental breakfast very basic. cooked breakfast looked ok but I didn’t have it. I got room at a discount but it would be overpriced at full price I think as it’s a bit dated - but then again prices are going up everywhere, and maybe it’s just not quite my taste in decor and others would love it. very kind staff and that’s always important

Very friendly, helpful hosts. Good spacious triple room (there were two of us) with good sized ensuite with bath and shower. Plenty of useful storage. Good wifi. Just over half a mile from town centre. Handy location for the bike parks. Would definitely stay here again. PS If you like pizza, try the Stag Inn in town, it had very tasy wood fired pizzas, and a log burner on the go.

Nothing to do with the b&b, but the Beast and Mbr trails at Coed y Brenin are lethal in the wet with xc tyres! Defo change to some decent Maxis or similar before you go. PS The b&bs bike storage is not lockable - so bring a good lock or leave the bikes in your car / van.

Great sized room, lovely patio and outside siting area, plenty of parking for cars and undercover parking area for bikes. Samantha was a super host and looked after everyone perfectly. Dolgellau town is a 10 minute walk along a riverside footpath, several pubs and takeaways, Co op and Spar. You can walk the Mawddach trail from river path, but don't do it on a Sunday as the buses don't turn up for the return journey! 😂

Perfect location on the edge of Dolgellau, easy walk into the town if needed. The proprietors were friendly and came to greet us in the car park in the day of our arrival. The common area has plenty of DVDs, box sets and board games to keep you entertained in the evenings as well as smart TVs and decent Wi-Fi in the rooms. Our room had a nice amount of space with comfortable beds and a large bathroom, complete with tub to relax in. The breakfast in the morning was brilliant and can be customised via your individual order forms the night before, highly recommend the sausages and the bacon was cooked to perfection.

Nothing really to dislike, the parking was a little tight but I was driving a large unfamiliar rental car, in my own car it would have been fine.

The welcome, how you are looked after. It is in a perfect place for us visiting the Mach Loop. Only a 15 minute walk into the town which means you can easily access food and drinking hostelries. Parking is ample The breakfasts are really good and fill you up for the day. Shower is really powerful so are able to unwind the day out of you.

Very friendly and welcoming staff. We were greeted personally in the car park. Plenty of space to park the car and easy access to the room. The breakfast was home cooked. The location is just off the main road and short distance to local town, hills and lakes.

The central heating control was not in the room but very pleasant owners did the needful and switched it on. Watch out that the post code sends you to another property across the road.

Sam welcomed us in the drive, showed us the room and gave advice on places to eat, dispite having this information in a welcome pack inside, we could help ourselves to extra tea, coffee, flavoured teas. Sam provides an excellent massage, after walking snowdonia it was more than appropriated, fairly priced too. A warm welcome from a family run establishment. We stripped the beds in the photo prior to leaving.

Good comms, great location, cozy and comfy breakfast room and bedroom. Place is in process of a refurb and looking good. be excited to return in a year or 2 when its done!

Bathroom needs hooks and little table or shelf, this is very minor point but a hook for clothes and towel a must, otherwise they go on floor.

We were there motorcyclists on route to complete a mini tour around Snowdonia. The premises have a bike shed which allowed the bikes to be stored under cover. The B&B is within strolling distance of Dolgellau which has a good selection of pubs/restaurants. Overall location is ideal if you are travelling you from the south and need a stopover for your trip. Breakfast is provided.
