Excellent breakfast with lots of variety and the staff were very accommodating (eg prepared porridge even though not on the menu) Really comfortable and large bed. Great shower facilities. Room was cleaned well. Friendly staff all around. I’d definitely come here again Just a short walk (up a steep hill) from Barmouth itself. Nice quiet area from where to start walks or to pop down to the town and beach. They weren’t offering an evening meal/restaurant which was not a problem as there are lots of places to eat nearby and they sent a lot of locations. Do book ahead if you want to eat out as most places were at capacity (late July).

The steep climb up to Bae Abermaw was worth the effort-the views were spectacular from both the garden and our room. Breakfast was excellent, well cooked and a good menu selection. Fruits and continental choices were well provided. Our room on the top floor was modern and quirky, as was the bathroom, which had a bathtub to die for and his and her washbasins and a very good shower. A very peaceful location, away from the bustle of the town, but near enough to walk to.

Walking up two flights of stairs, but that couldn't be helped and the room was worth the effort!

Incredible hotel that appears to have had a recent refurbishment. The room was huge, overlooked the sea and had a massive queen size bed. The bathroom had a great walk in shower, one of those Japanese technological toilets with all the features and a big Victorian bath. Amazing views of the sea and estuary. The breakfast was delicious, good range of fresh fruit Inc kiwis and watermelons. Lovely big coffee (not those stupid tiny 1 sip cups that dated hotels give you) and a clean full English breakfast where the meat was grilled and not sat in a pool of oil. Will definitely be coming back!

Excellent location with beautiful views, well kept spacious gardens to the front and rear, parking facilities, friendly and helpful staff, excellent choice of breakfast, lovely clean room with a large bathroom and shower, dog friendly, beautiful place to stay. Plenty of places to visit during the stay. The local people were really friendly, fantastic clean beaches, great walks or just relaxing.

It would have been nice to have the option of evening meals however, we were provided with a list of places to eat in the area within a 5 minute walk. It was ok for us but for some people the incline to the boutique could be a bit challenging.

It's a beautiful hotel in a good location. We liked the fact that is was only a small hotel and it wasn't very busy when we visited. It is perfect for families traveling with their dogs because the mountains behind the hotel are great for nice walks and the sea is very close (walking distance). The Welsh breakfast was very tasteful and it was great that we could just take our breakfast up to our room. The bathroom was very modern with a great shower and a Japanese toilet which you really don't see very often in hotels! We also had a great view of the sea from our room.

The breakfast was nice but there weren't a lot of options besides the Welsh breakfast (sausages, eggs, beans and a potato). We missed some alternatives. There is no staff staying at the hotel in the evening and at night, and on our first night the couple in the room above us was extremely noisy and loud (it was like they were having sex in our room honestly it was that loud..) but we couldn't call any of the staff members since there were none left at the hotel. Luckily this couple left the other day and we had a great sleep the last 2 nights of our stay.

The location is absolutely perfect overlooking Barmouth. The location is just set back from the road so was nice and quiet, in fact very peaceful and relaxing. The staff are absolutely wonderful. Gary and Stacey are so trustworthy and made us feel so welcomed. Stacey works so hard and was a pleasure to chat too. We stayed with our two year old son and he absolutely loved it. The room was a perfect size and provided teas and coffees and a kettle. The breakfast was spot on!

The only thing was due to the access into the hotel and up the stairs to our room. We had to carry the pram up and down steps in and out the hotel and up the stairs. I assumed there would be a ramp for access. This is the only “fault”if you are travelling with prams and wheelchairs.

Excellent dog friendly hotel The views were spectacular from our room Tanya who greeted us upgraded us as soon as we arrived which was a lovely surprise Tanya was amazing, as was the young gentleman who served breakfast we loved It’s decor and location The rooms were big very clean and a very comfortable with a large double bed The carpets were beautifully clean and it smelled fresh The offer of room service every day was lovely Fell in love with the touch operated large backlit de- mist mirror in the bathroom The breakfasts were delicious and such a lot of choice It was a nice touch to have a large memory foam sofa in the room to watch TV Everyone was so very friendly and accommodating Gary the manager was brilliant Nothing seemed too much trouble All the Staff were incredibly helpful The Place was spotless We loved it and would definitely go back

Maybe notices to tell other people to pick up after their dogs 🐶 and a dog poo 💩 bin perhaps on far back wall by the car park One small thing , everything in the bathroom seemed high up So I couldn’t see into the beautiful magnifying mirror or reach the shower gel bottle in the shower All sadly too high up :/ as I’m a bit short ! There is no disability access which will pose us a problem in the future Prettier picnic benches or more seating outside and pretty looking parasols would look nice too :) as we loved having breakfast alfresco :)

Lovely hotel with fab sea views, nicely decorated room and good sized en-suite facilities. Great breakfast. Certainly looked lovely and nice outdoor space to enjoy the views with a drink from the bar. Friendly welcome and all the staff we spoke to were nice and helpful. Got some good exercise with mountain walks on the doorstep and down to Barmouth village. The hotel is up a reasonably steep hill so for less mobile guests they’d probably need a car.

I got an email the week before to say they weren’t opening their restaurant for lunch or dinner so had to make last minute arrangements to eat out, which we managed to do but part of the reason /appeal of booking was the food reviews so that was disappointing. Also our room had some resident flies on the windows which we kept putting out but the next time we’d look they’d be back so not sure where they were coming in from, but I mentioned it to the Manager who said he’d look in to it. (They just kept to the windows thankfully and weren’t flying round the room).

Excellent room / bathroom, with additional features, such as a bidet toilet, and a lovely stand alone bath. The decore is stylish, elegant and sophisticated, with attention to detail. Large comfortable bed, in a spacious bedroom. The view from the bedroom is fantastic, capturing the sweep of the bay below. Breakfast offered an excellent range of fresh fruits, in addition to a full Welsh breakfast, which was delicious-made with good quality produce. The fruit selection, and pastries were kept topped up. we would certainly recommend this hotel.

We really were completely satisfied.

very friendly and helpful staff. recent room refurbishment was well done. nice bar in lounge. nice location on hill on edge of Barmouth. very impressive breakfast.

There was fan/pump noise in a few of the rooms, not sure if boiler flu or kitchen extract or water pump. A friend moved rooms as a result so very helpful, it really need to sort that else a few rooms would not really be suitable for sleeping in. seemed under staffed to me. needed at least one extra. Plants seemed to be all plastic, and parts or decor/walls just needed a little touch up here and there. This detracted for me from what could be first class hotel.
