Great welcome by staff member. She explained how things worked in the hotel. The hotel is close to the harbour, so there's plenty of time to get ready and be on time to get on board without any stress. value for money, and dogs allowed for an extra fee of £10. A cross the road there's a park so you can walk your dog. Dogs aren't allowed on the beach. The bed was comfy and slept like a baby. The room was clean and had everything you needed. Dog aren't allowed in the breakfast area, but they offer you breakfast in your room. I would definitely book a room again.

In the beginning, i was afraid it was too noisy and wouldn't get much sleep because of it. But fortunately at 23.00 it went al quite . But at 06.30, the first breakfast guest were arriving and slamming doors and were talking like they were the only one in the hotel. My room was next to the breakfast room. The shower head wasn't great either, not much water pressure or needed a new shower head.

Bed linen colourful, bed comfortable, room decor excellent with portraits making my bedroom almost like an art museum. Clean apart from dog hairs on the corridor carpets from the hotel's dog which haven't been hoovered

Double billed me for the room, travel agent refunded me a month later. Friday night and Saturday night drunk fifteen year olds wander the roads unjustifiably aimlessly disenfranchised, perhaps because there's no adventure sports nearby so the 15 year olds have disenfranchised Essex fun on the roads, I suppose Essex is Essex however they are orderly and seem brought up well so they add liveliness and pleasure to what is otherwise a somewhat boring beach area. Southend, Brighton and Blackpool beach are more lively beaches than this one

I was staying here, as I had an early start the following morning to get up and run an ultra marathon. I didn't expect much, looking at the photos. But I literally cannot recommend this place enough. It was fantastic for the price I paid. Perfect location for getting a bite to eat. A really nice girl checked me in quickly and easily. The room was very basic, but had everything I needed for the night, and it was so cheap at just £55. Nice a quiet, I got a good sleep. 10/10

There was nothing to not like. Basic. But very pleasant.

The location was perfect for our needs and the room was large and airy with a comfortable large bed. We would stay here again with no hesitation. The staff were friendly and efficient and we were quickly checked in.

We had room 5 which was a lovely room but the noises from below (staff working/bins being emptied) early in the morning was a little annoying. Everything else was fine. A word of caution the bathroom sink mixer tap seemed to have a mind of its own and quickly became too hot to touch the water.

We stayed here after getting straight off the ferry, quite late in the evening. The staff were lovely, welcoming and quick to show us to our room so we could settle and get to sleep. I had a nice cup of tea in the bedroom before a great nights sleep and travelling onward the next day.

There was nothing I didn't like. My children said the house across the road looked spooky - this is not the fault of the bnb! We really had a great nights sleep and good wash up and out early the next day.

The perfect spot for us to have an amazing night sleep after an incredibly long journey WITH our cats. The bedroom was super big, exceeding our expectations. The bed felt like we were sleeping on a cloud and simply didn’t want to wake up the next day for our 5 hour drive back to Wales. Everything with extremely clean! The shower actually sparkled and the glass was spotless, good hot water coming through too. Amanda, the owner had such a big heart and picked us up after we arrived at the ferry port stranded with our two cats, there were no taxis available and the weather was awful! We could have taken the train and we’re prepared to do so, but with three big suitcases and two cats on less than 5 hours sleep in 24 hours it would have stretched us to the limits haha. To pick us up was such an act of kindness and we thank her for this! ❤️

Staff was so caring and helpful, we booked the last minute but they considered which room would suit us best, since we have an elderly dog who can't walk stairs. Room was clean, cozy and warm, we felt welcomed and cared after. Thank You so much, it was the second time we have stayed with them and we have enjoyed everything so far.

The main doors to enter guest house are way too much complicated, since it is narrow enter and doors go inwards there the stairs start, so it is so awkward to fit in, especially with kids and dogs. Otherwise, everything else was splendid!

We liked the proximity to restaurants, local shops and the free parking across the road. The rooms were very clean with all the facilities you need, plenty of hot water and nice comfortable beds with good quality linens.

We felt the first impression of the entrance and stairs area let the property down. However once we were in the reception we were pleasantly surprised at the contrast. The stair carpet and paintwork are extremely worn but the rest of the areas are really very good.

The whole experience was excellent Katie the manager and staff were so helpful nothing was to much trouble had problem at night with the noise from shop down below and there fans going all night was offered ear plugs and complementary breakfast the earplugs.did the trick place was lovely and clean breakfast 10 out of 10 dod friendly our dogs 🐕 loved it to will certainly stay again even had own carpark

Nice standard of guest house, located in the Dovercourt area of Harwich, it is its own separate area, but has good facilities. Staff were helpful and friendly, room was basic, but comfortable and all the facilities you require. Parking is handy and straight across the road.

Didn't seem to be any option of breakfast from 7, even though ferries leave at 9, so an opportunity missed there. The shared bathroom could easily be integrated with both rooms avoiding the share, there seemed enough space in my room to do this. Apart from that everything in order.
