Room Service - received food within 30 mins of ordering. Spa facilities - enjoyed a swim & jacuzzi Free Parking onsite with plenty of space Good choice of food at the bar

Room 156 had several 'red' stains on the carpet Doors being slammed at 5am - would make sense to have soft-close doors Ceaser Salad was very disappointing - listed as sourdough croutons which expected them to be made in-house, but had pre-packed very dry croutons which nearly broke my tooth.

Nice comfortable bed, lovely clean sheets & towels. Tea/coffee making facilities in room. Superb breakfast with friendly staff in dining room.

Interior of hotel itself was very shabby, dirty scuffed walls/woodwork in corridors. Our room had chipped plasterwork on wall beside radiator, no cap on radiator/rusty & very dirty/dusty around radiator. Bathroom very small, shower head attachment to wall was loose & couldn’t adjust shower head, bottom hinge on wardrobe door was loose, net curtains hanging off rail. One of the bedside lamps didn’t work so room quite dark as only other light was in doorway as you came in.

We had been given an upstairs room and I would not be able to use the stairs daily for the time we were there, the staff spent a lot of time finding a suitable room for us, difficult as the place was fully booked and lots of people had arrived, The room was perfect. Breakfast was lovely. Pool was lovely. All of the staff we came across in 4 nights there were exceptional, friendly, appeared genuinely relaxed and cheerful , nothing was too much trouble, the manager , house staff , catering staff , and people in the pool . Everybody appeared to be totally happy and relaxed. It was a most pleasant place to spend 4 nights in.

We are not be able to find something we were not happy with and this has never happened to either of us before

The staff were very friendly and helpful throughout the visit making us feel very special. Especially to the children who have the VIK band and gifts. The breakfast buffet was excellent with a great range of choice across the cereal, pastries, cooked foods and fruit. All the food was delicious. The beds, rooms and bathroom/ showers were great. Nice big rooms and clean with comfy beds. The air conditioning was excellent too which helped with sleeping and the room was lovely and quiet. The swimming pool facilities were excellent and we spent each day at the pool enjoying the facilities. Thank you for a fantastic trip.

Convenient location. Breakfast was good

We arrived early as we were passing on our way to our lunch appointment and was advised that there was a £10 per hour early check in fee. Needless to say we waited until our check in time. I know hotels often charge a late check out fee but haven't experienced an early check in fee before. The bar was very busy in the evening with long waits as there was only one member of staff serving, taking bar meal orders etc. There were 2 members of staff wandering around and clearing tables. I'm sure 1 could have helped man the bar. We upgraded to a "premium " room . It was a very small, double bed and I think the " upgrade " was to cover the packet of 3 bourbon biscuits left on the bed.

The staff were amazing and the children loved the pool and I thought the treat bag and snack token were a lovely idea. And the drinks and treat in the room was nice Breakfast was lovely think dinner could have been better but the birthday pudding plate they did for my daughter was lovely

The sofa bed was really uncomfortable and not much room as I did book for 3 adults and a child. I thought 1 pack of biscuits and 1 Kit Kat was odd as there was 4 people staying in the room . I had asked if they could do something as it was my daughters 18th birthday but they didn’t after being told on the phone they would and I booked a table for dinner on the phone too as there was 10 of us but that didn’t happen either I also emailed and got no response so that side was quite disappointing . I have allergies and I think it would be easier if you had some sort of allergy menu as it was hard to work out if I could eat at the restaurant before we arrived.

The use of the pool, sauna and steam room for free was brilliant. Breakfast was superb and lots of choice. Initially we had the wrong room as I booked a walk in shower due to my disability but this was quickly changed for us. Was pretty clean and handy to have tea/coffee making facilities.

Room was so far from the facilities and I struggled with the walk to and from it all. Unfortunately the jacuzzi was broken. Also a very amorous couple were in the pool which was awkward, especially as a child was in the pool too! The bed was only a double and my partner is over 6 ft tall so this meant his feet were hanging over the end. Shame there are no king beds. The room needs redecorating and new curtains required. The door kept moving in its frame which rattled so ended up putting a towel at the bottom of it to wedge it in place.

the facilities such as the swimming pool, jacuzzi and steam room were a great touch for the the guests and we loved using them. Breakfast was plentiful and had a decent variety.

On checkout was accused of not paying . If I had not paid how was I let into the room . Had to show manager or lady in charge on checkout proof on my phone that I had paid . i.e. my bank account , debit card statement . Both embarrassing and unprofessional considering it was a staff clerical error . The management seemed adamant to prove that I was the one at fault . The three hotel chains we book regularly for contract work around the country are holiday inn, Hilton and ibis styles. So far holiday inn has been my first unpleasant experience.

Comfortable, clean room for the price. Lovely Spanish? receptionist who was friendly, welcoming and very helpful. Excellent breakfast and especially as they provided gluten free options. Enjoyable evening meals both nights. Bar / Lounge area nice to relax in and complimentary spa facilities. We would be happy to return.

We got the general impression that there was not enough staff and some would benefit from customer care training. Eg At the bar, a queue formed but no one was there to serve. At other times, there were 2 barstaff who chatted together and ignored those people waiting. Frustrating! Spa facilities...steam room was closed and, according to a healthclub member, had been for some time. Sauna was absolutely too hot to sit in for more than 5 mins. These are things which can easily be sorted though.
