Excellent stay as a base to explore further afield. Staff very friendly, welcoming and helpful - nothing too much for them. The evening meal in-house for our first night, after travelling all day, was very good. Good real ale on the bar as well (always a bonus with me). Rooms very comfortable and spacious - as was the bathroom. Centrally located in the town - only a short walk to the shops etc and other pubs. Breakfast was varied and very good. Spacious parking at the rear too. Overall I was happy with the place and thought it good value for money all considered. Very characterful place. Oh, and if you get a chance to go to Milford Haven - check out their theatre there - had a fabulous Frankie Valli event there - as well as excellent restaurant food too - well worth a visit.

Okay, it's an old hotel, so all the corridors and stairs may get on some people's nerves a bit, but I didn't mind. However, if you have serious mobility issues then maybe it's not for you, as it is a listed building and so no lifts can be put in. The one-way system in town may be a bit confusing to the un-initiated, and some parts of the town are a little past their best - but that's hardly the hotel's fault is it?

Food and service was fantastic! The room was large and comfortable with a walk 8n wardrobe, tea and coffee facilities, iron and ironing board and a small desk. Room has evidently been recently re carpeted which was nice. The hotel is 400 years old and clearly has a lot of history, the welcome pack is the room describes this.

Whilst my stay was enjoyable the room was dated, the water pressure in the shower was pitiful, there were cobwebs in the room above bedside lamps and in door corners. TV remote didn't work with TV in the room. Due to the heat over the weekend windows had to be left open no fly screens resulted in a large quantity of small flies in the room

Arr, me matey! I be hearin' ye enjoyed yer stay at Hotel Mariners, aye? Well, let me tell ye, it be a treasure of a place! The rooms be cozy like a pirate's cabin, and the staff be friendly as a parrot. The scurvy dogs at the front desk be helpin' me with all me needs. The breakfast be fit for a captain, with plenty o' grub to fill yer belly. And the view from me window be like gazin' out at the endless sea. I be givin' Hotel Mariners a hearty "Yo ho ho!" rating! ⚓️🏴‍☠️

Nothing ye scurvy land lubbers!

Staff were very welcoming and helpful. My bed was comfortable, very generous supply of teas/coffees/milks etc in my room - vital for a big tea drinker like me!! My room and bathroom were pristine. I felt secure and relaxed there. Plenty of hanging space in the cupboard and lots of surface space in front of the mirror in the bedroom.

Very 1980s decor which could do with an update - not unpleasant but outdated. No lift so bringing cases up and down stairs needs planning. A definite plan for action will be the carpet in the corridors. They are uneven, making it easy to trip in some areas.

Staff was very accommodating and friendly! Unfortunately, there’s no refrigerators in the rooms. I’m currently breastfeeding, and they were able to store them and have them easily accessible. Love the location and bordering towns. We went during beginning of summer, so it was great weather to explore the many beaches in the area. Main reason we booked was because it was central and very dog friendly!

Breakfast was absolutely perfect! All options (full English, egg Royal, egg Benedicte) was delicious. Everyone was nice and helpfull.

We ordered three rooms: one for couple, two for single persons. In our the room for a couple were two beds: one junior bed and one single bed. So we had to sleep on different beds, I woke up every hour and check if I have fallen down. Both single rooms had double beds, but it was too late to swap.

The food is always AMAZING, great quality, perfect portion size (always leave room for a fab dessert) and the menu has good options. I am a regular and have never had an indifferent meal yet... superb. The staff are always happy, from reception to bar to breakfast.

The coffee can be much much better. They use Italian when there are some great Welsh speciality roasters to chose from. The rooms are good, but they need to watch that they don't become dated.

Fantastic staff. Room clean and comfortable. Breakfast amazing. Lovely bar and outside area. Peaceful location although walking distance to town centre.

Hotel very dark. Rooms could do with brighter lighting, especially the bathrooms that have no windows. Very hot in the summer. Would suggest fans in rooms / air conditioning

Lovely hotel, the room was nice and big and dog friendly which was lovely. The room was next to an exit to some grass for my pup as well. Plenty of parking and a lovely breakfast with vegan options.

The hotel is a bit old, but that wasn't unexpected. The toilet and the sink are in different parts of the room.

All satisfactory in the bathroom though from a safety point of view a anti slip mat should be provided within the bath, the bath is high sided with little to grab hold of to steady oneself when getting out of the bath, an important point I feel particularly when one considers persons of senior years
