Well presented with everything I needed. Self check in was hassle free, there’s a notice board with your room allocation on it when you enter the accommodation via the access code sent in the email. My room looked like it had recently been renovated, nice clean modern en-suite, lovely clean towels and bedding. Excellent brew facilities thanks to the professional nespresso machine. The pub atmosphere was nice, the food and beer were great and the staff were extremely helpful and friendly….I would definitely visit again.

Great location for what we needed. Really liked the style and decoration of the room. Arrived late due to travelling but pre sent instructions of how to access the building and order breakfast made the process smooth. Breakfast was included in our rate and this just required to fill in a form for for what we wanted the next morning. This was then delivered in a little hamper outside our door. I’d seen some reviews people saying the breakfast wasn’t great. But we found our choices tasty and plentiful. And also use of a nespresso machine for a nice morning coffee.

Although the majority of the room was very clean, the light fitting and some other areas high up could have done with a bit of a dust as there were some cobwebs. Also our room had a smoky smell. Once in we didn’t notice it but first walking into the room it did. Not sure if this had been a previous guest maybe?

Charming and comfortable country pub and hotel with a simple but good and cheap restaurant. The decoration of our bedroom was elegant; This was the reason why I had chosen that place : an elegant decoration in an affordable price hotel. Good position near a main road but very quiet in a small hamlet of Horsham, directly opening to public foot pathes where we couldt quickly meet deers and other wild animals. The breakfast was served in a basket (as the restaurant is closed in the morning) and you will do your own coffee or tea in your bedroom. But everything was good, fresh, generous and well presented. I keep a nice and pleasant souvenir of this place (french woman traveller).

Lovely room, extremely comfortable bed, view of the green, well thought out...trays to take our perfect hamper breakfast out into the garden in the morning ( a great idea) bottled water, homemade biscuits, Nespresso machine, hairdryer, excellent clean bright ensuite white shower, WC, basin, large mirror and large very fluffy towels. Air conditioning unit if we needed it. Despite being so close to the A24..very peaceful. Walk across the green straight into the Knepp estate ( one of the reasons for booking) Ate at the Crown one evening, Sat outside. Lovely atmosphere, friendly staff, good range of food. Would stay again !

The excellent welcome hamper was only anticipated because of previous guests’ remarks. The accommodation was beautifully and thoughtfully presented in a modern minimalist style: the kitchen area, and the cosy bedroom up in the rafters. The bed was super comfortable. The bed linen and towels sparkling white. If you are interested in the Knepp Rewilding Estate - it is just 5 minutes walk away. The village green is opposite. The pub is on site, and had a great atmosphere with an interesting looking menu. I enjoyed my stay.

After a conversation with the charming owner, it was clear that there is some Work in Progress which she is already planning, Eg the patio area. The space was just a little too compact for my liking (but then I swapped the furniture around, and it worked better for me - apologies!)

Lovely spacious room with so many extras (bottles of water, coffee machine, homemade biscuits, locally sourced soap and shower products). Quiet, nice pub garden and friendly staff. Quirky breakfast, ordered the day before and delivered ready to eat on a lovely wooden tray in the comfort of your own room.

There wasn’t really anything we didn’t like, however not having an en-suite bathroom was something different. It wasn’t a problem as we didn’t see any other visitors, however had we crossed paths first thing in the morning it may have felt different. Nice touch with the bathrobes for all of us.

Excellent quiet village location for a visit to the Knepp Estate. Easy check in with the friendly staff at the bar. Room is boutique in size, beautifully decorated (we were in the Butterfly Room), super clean and smelt lovely. Very comfy bed and continental breakfast delivered in a wicker basket to your door. Kitchen & bar staff went the extra mile to ensure our supper was prepped and kept warm when we were delayed plus all dietary requirements we have were no problem at all (vegan & gluten free). Will definitely return!

Am struggling to think of anything that could have been better. If I was being super picky I would have preferred the bathroom to have had a window and not been one of those en-suite-box-in-the-corner type additions to an already small room but in a small old building it was still done sympathetically and was well designed.

Fantastic location for our visit to the Knepp estate. Nice room. Nice breakfast. Very welcoming and responsive staff. Stayed with colleagues and we all enjoyed our stay and plan to return.

Nothing. All good. Without asking this question in a way that asks for the respondent to suggest a solution to any challenges they encounter, the question itself encourages static negative comments. Perhaps we need to rethink how we frame feedback to be helpful and positive.

My husband and Friends were walking the Downs Link, so we chose The Crown Inn as a midway point… and were delighted we had! Lovely pub with really friendly staff and great food! The rooms were decorated to a very high standard and very individual - breakfast was delivered in a hamper and was very well thought out

My fault - I hadn't read the detail that said no Sunday food after 5pm so was a little disappointed we had to go out but found a lovely pub nearby. Love the concept of the breakfast hamper in the morning but better food needed in it - muffin was too hard and banana was brown. Also, coffee machine instructions next time please.
