Quorn Country Hotel

The breakfast was OK but only part of the cooked food was out while I was in there. What I had was nice. Dining room was closed for dinner when I arrived but the receptionist arranged a sandwich for me. They had pizza & a list of restaurants close by but I was very tired & had a bad headache. The sandwich was lovely & just enough for me.

Breakfast put out a little quicker, I felt sorry for one guest who appeared to be vegetarian & all he had was a plate full of mushrooms. I had sausage & bacon but there were still no eggs, beans or tomatoes by the time I left. What I had was well cooked & I enjoyed it.

The room was to a high standard. A good size. Comfy. I didn't use the restaurant/bar or other facilities to comment. Good views of the grounds and lake behind. Big TV, WiFi. Vending machine well stocked and fairly priced. Biscuits with my tea and coffee.

While the room was to a high standard, it felt a little tired in places. The shower was like a hailstorm. The shower screen is a curtain, so not very water tight. The aggressive shower spray meant the floor was quite wet afterwards. No plugs are accessible by the bed to plug phone charger in, means you have to plug phone in on the opposite side of the room.

The location was perfect for our 2 day excursion The overall aesthetic was very old country house with nods to history and hunting We are used to a buffet breakfast but being waited upon was really nice The staff were incredibly helpful and catered to my allergy and allowed me to charge my mobility scooter in our room the gardens that we saw were well maintained

not enough towels in the bathroom but I could have requested more there were areas that needed updating regarding scuffs and scrapes in the paintwork

The staff were attentive and responded well when I was taken ill. The hotel has a lot of character with a library and a "snug" as well as the usual dining room etc. The rooms are well appointed and clean. I booked though booking.com and the deal was very good value. So much so that I have been back once since and am due back tonight for three nights.

A bell at reception to summon someone would be the only suggestion as it can be hard out of the usual hours to get someone's attention.

It was a lovely room. In some ways a bit tired but it felt comfortable and relaxing. Garden is lovely. We didn’t use any other facilities or eat there but would definitely stay there again. It walking distance to amenities in village and very pleasant walk.

Might need a little freshen up with new silicone in bathroom as was discoloured and paint round the windows. Overall room was clean but maybe could do with a dust round the windows and bleach on discoloured grout. Although sink, toilet bath itself all clean.

Loved the beautiful luxurious vintage feel of the place but also had great free wifi, helpful staff and amazingly restaurant.

Once again on arrival we had been allocated a room with two single beds and our booking was for a double room. This was quickly rectified immediately by the receptionist with minimal fuss. This was disappointing as this had happened to us on our last visit here. The staff were all very helpful and made us feel welcome.

Although the breakfast was very nice & plentiful we felt it could have been a little hotter. Choice of pastries was limited.We felt the room could do with a tidy up ie chipped paint work and mould around bath seal

This hotel has the wow factor from the moment you walk into the beautiful wood panelled entrance hall with sweeping staircase. The bedrooms are a good size with top quality soft furnishings. A good choice of atmospheric lighting in the room too controlled on a bedside panel and a huge king bed for a standard room. The staff are very friendly and helpful. There are also lovely deep comfortable sofas and chairs in the bar area to enjoy a nightcap in. We would highly recommend.

We had a wonderful short break at Quorn Country Hotel. The hotel is old and in places dated but we felt this added to the charm. The price we paid was excellent and the room was so spacious and quiet. We have already booked to stay here again later in the year.

They were short staffed when we stayed and it was difficult to find staff when we needed them. This didn't detract from us having a wonderful stay though.

Location was perfect for our visit to relatives.

The greeting at Reception was very quick and not much information given. We did not know that the Hotel had a Bar area until finding the location for breakfast the following morning. Breakfast was a little chaotic as there was no greeting or information, no menu, and no call back to table to ask if everything was ok,
