The Jolly Drover was a lovely and - for its low price - outstanding hotel. The room we stayed in was in a separate (new) building next to the historic (but renovated and in good shape), original house. It was clean, comfortable and completely silent during nighttime. The pub / restaurant in the ground floor of the historic building features a lovely fireplace and a nice, clean, cosy and well decorated dining area. The food was remarkable and well above everything we had expected and also the english breakfast we had was delicious and served with outstanding friendliness. Overall, I think it is fair to say, I have not stayed in any nicer place anywhere in the UK so far. Thumbs up and thanks for the very pleasant time we had there!

Slightly remote, so its probably difficult to get there without a car. However, apart from this nearly perfect.

Booked one night stay to meet with family for a birthday. The room was clean and tidy and away from the road. Nice added extra's such as coffee and biscuits. Bed was comfortable. Breakfast was really good as was the evening meal we had in the pub.

Bearing in mind that the accommodation is part of a pub, we expected some noise. However at just gone midnight a group of friends came back from a wedding and were in and out of the main door. I would recommend that they put a soft closer on the entrance door as it kept banging. After us asking them to be quiet they were. Not the fault of the pub, we would stay again, but think a soft closer needs to be added.

Staff very polite and friendly Food very nice Room Clean, tidy and spacious room

NOTHING, I very much enjoyed my stay and would recommend the property. SUGGESTION: The Property benefits from location to Goodwood Motor Circuit and the events they organise. I was attending Festival of Speed. When you book the property it’s pricing has breakfast included. However, these Goodwood events attract over 200,000 people and open early. If you want to avoid hours of traffic you must leave the property by at least 6:30/7am am latest. Breakfast starts too late at 7:30am, so means you’re paying for something included which you cannot benefit from. I would suggest they provide some early bird options, like a self service continental breakfast, takeaway breakfast baps or better still, on such events provide earlier breakfast. All said, great stay, thank you.

We were staying for a single night to attend a wedding at a nearby venue. The rooms were in a separate block away from the main pub so it was nice and quiet to sleep in. There was plenty of parking, and the staff were friendly. Breakfast in the morning was good.

This isn't really about the inn but our taxi to the wedding venue cost £50 return, which was a surprise but apparently this is similar to what everyone else paid too so I guess the companies like to gouge visitors when they aren't expecting repeat custom.

Impressed by well thought out complimentary drinks and snacks in room. Great choice of breakfasts, well cooked. Location good, quiet are. Ate dinner at Jolly Driver on arrival day which was also excellent.

Emergency lighting in Room 3 was too bright overnight. My sleep was disturbed as a result. I understand the regulatory requirements, but please change the unit - maybe swap for one in restaurant where it will not matter if it is brighter overnight!

Last minute reservation for us whilst exploring the region. Our room (#6) was spacious, clean and well appointed - all things you would need for a short stay (probably 1-3 nights would be comfortable). Bottled water, tea, plunger coffee and biscuits a nice touch. Towels were large and fluffy. Bathroom good size with sustainable toiletries. TV was a good size. Even though the property is on a semi-busy road, the rooms are at the back and we didn't notice any noise at all. A highlight was the breakfast - plentiful choice, with some cereal or porridge to start, and then cooked breakfast to order. The homemade jam was delicious. All staff (check-in, pub meal, breakfast and cleaning) were friendly and made us feel welcome. A car is needed, and there are supermarkets a short drive away if you forget anything. Some picturesque locations, villages and sites nearby, including farm shops and locally made items. If we were in the region again and looking for accommodation, we'd happily stay at The Jolly Drover again.

The bed was too soft for me - obviously personal preference. We also had an evening pub meal, which was good without being great (especially when compared to breakfast which was better than great!). The block of wood on the key - would prefer something smaller that can fit in your pocket.

So friendly, so helpfu andl answered questions quickly before we came and reassured me. Once there the friendly staff put us at ease, welcoming and eager to help with anything. The room was clean, comfortable and the hospitality tray well stocked with quality tea and coffee. A bonus of live music with our evening meal, meal was delicious and the music and singing great. Relaxing and inviting atmosphere. Wonderful nights sleep. Bed comfortable, area so peaceful and quiet. Breakfast fantastic. Over all a wonderful stop over stay, which being our first together, it helped with my other halfs reccouperation, your support really did help, Thank you 😊

Nothing!

Really there was nothing not to like about this hotel from start to finish. the check in was quick and easy. My wife and I were showed to our room, which was across the courtyard from the main hotel. when we entered our room we could see how nice it was and looked very clean. It contained all that we needed. The bathroom was excellent, clean & modern, as was the plumbing, fixtures and fittings of a high quality. The heating radiator operation was explained to us, simple to work and efficient. Ideal for the cold weather conditions. Lovely comfortable bed so we had a good nights sleep. We were well pleased with the room. Breakfast was very wholesome. Cereals and juices available etc Both of us settled for the "full English" sourced from local suppliers, cooked as we liked the Grayshott sausages, meaty and tasty. This is a very good, classy hotel, with friendly helpful staff. We completely enjoyed our two night stay over, and will certainly be booking again. Thank you

The TV in our room (No2) seemed to have a problem finding a signal, but it did not really bother us. As I mentioned above (what did you like) there was nothing not to dislike.

The location was excellent as we came down to visit a friend in Bracklesham Bay and then visited Uppark House and gardens a National Trust property the following day. The staff were very pleasant from the time we arrived to the end of our stay. We had an excellent evening meal in the restaurant and breakfast was amazing. Excellent value for money.

There was nothing we did not like.

Comfortable rooms, Good food, Friendly and efficient staff. This all added up to a very pleasant stay.

Minor problem... probably out of the control of staff. Remote control had a battery missing... We did not report it until checking out, as manual control was easy. If cleaning staff had not lifted controller, they would not have noticed.... just shows how sneaky guests can be..
