Large spacious room, cleaned to an acceptable standard. Decent breakfast options. Staff were friendly enough. Great location, right next to a supermarket, play area and within easy driving distance from beaches, football stadium, docks etc

Noise. There was a wedding party on the first night, and the music was loud. Didn't bother us too much but something to bear in mind if you are a light sleeper or with children who are. The door rattled with the wind or something, which was noisy. There were a few dusty areas in the room which were obviously missed regularly, the bottom shelf of the bedside drawers for example.

I booked a one night stay at the Park Hotel as I was due to take my daughter back to Liverpool University. However, a problem with my daughter’s university accommodation resulted in a change of plan. I contacted the hotel to explain and the member of staff who took my call (Jodie) very kindly cancelled my reservation, waiving the cost and then rebooked two rooms for my daughter and I for the next day. This meant my daughter could move into her flat without missing the start of her clinical placement. On arrival the hotel staff were very welcoming, friendly and helpful. The member of staff who checked us in had been briefed of the change of plan which was very reassuring. Our rooms were clean, comfortable and well-appointed. We enjoyed a nice Sunday roast dinner in the restaurant. Breakfast was good with a good choice of cereals, fruit, fruit juices and a cooked breakfast. All in all we enjoyed a very pleasant stay.

The hotel was easy to find with a big car park which was free to use. We had booked two rooms and they were conveniently next door to each other. It was lovely to be able to open the window. The staff were all friendly and helpful. The cooked breakfast was lovely too.

The only down point was the large television in the breakfast room showing BBC Breakfast whilst we ate breakfast. If the news was always hopeful and positive it would be a great start to people's day. Unfortunately it was showing some very sad news for the majority of our breakfast time which I'm glad I didn't have to explain to any young children.

Downstairs was lovely, Tim was a legend, couldn't do enough for us, he was really pleasant and chatty....... but Tim's boss was moody and actually seemed mad at him for going the extra mile for a customer. Bizarre behaviour from his manager and did not reflect well. Tim asked us why we were in the area and chatted to us about it. I asked if the bar was open to purchase a coffee, Tim told me it wasn't.....but said it was fine, as it was just a coffee he would do one for me.

Tim's manager being obviously angry with him in front of us as paying customers. She barged into the bar and said "is he making you a coffee" with a face like she was sucking a lemon. The bathroom was a bit grubby to be honest could do with updating and the lighting wasn't the best in the rooms. Overall the hotel was ok, average.

We got married at the hotel on the 1st April.A large group of friends and family as well as me stayed the night before. We all dined in the restaurant and drank in the bar. EVERY single member of staff were helpful , friendly and accommodating.A number of our party arrived late due to traffic issues but still managed to get in the restaurant. Peter made us all welcome. Nothing was too much trouble for Jerry in the bar , and the lady on reception was constantly on the go. In fact all the reception staff were a credit to the hotel. We then stayed in the honeymoon suite and it too was wonderful. Andrea, the event planner is a legend Wendy on her team was fabulous The two lady waitresses in the restaurant were super. Phil the Master of ceremonies was a gentleman The chef looked after the cakes and had everything under control. The wedding breakfast was outstanding hot fresh and tasty. If we didn’t mention you by name I apologise. Fabulous! DO NOT BE AFRAID TO STAY HERE IT’S EXCELLENT Thank you all

Nothing Everything was exactly as we had wanted and exactly as we had planned.

Everything was clean and comfortable, staff were friendly especially the cleaning ladies in the morning.

You can tell the hotel has had some renovations recently as the decor down stairs does not match upstairs HOWEVER i'd recommend investing in some sound proofing. Its non-existant and 2 floors up you can hear the music from downstairs which isn't on late but if you're not at the party you don't really want to hear it. Also double glazing would be nice - you can hear people walking on the street 😂

This Hotel was a lot better than expected as I used to live in the area and was expecting it to be old and run down like back in the day. Wow they have done it up. Pubs gone and now if looks like its just functions and Hotel. Staff very friendly and the whole Hotel was clean. Stayed in a lot worse 3 star Hotels. Maybe need to go to 4 star.

The only thing that let this Hotel down was the Bar. Been to a Family gathering at the Nags Head and there was a few of us staying here so we decided to hit the Hotel Bar. The Bar shuts but what made it worse was a function next door with a Late bar and they still would not serve us. So if you like a few drinks before bed this is not the Hotel for you.

The check in was quick and receptionist was very helpful , we asked for some more teabags and milk for the room we're given them straight away . When I booked there is a note on the hotel information that on weekends there can be entertainment on so I requested if it was ok could we please have a room away from the music if there was anything on the evening we were stopping , within a couple of hours they had sorted my request. The hotel and grounds were very clean and looked very welcoming when we walked through the door

Nothing really, but I would have given 9/10 if the shower was a bit better it's not very powerful

The surroundings of the hotel are nice and it is clean. Staff are very friendly and helpful.

The rooms are very uncomfortable because of not enough air flow. There is no air conditioning we had been initially in a small twin bedded room and it was unbearable because I couldn't sleep due to the lack of air. Please Park Hotel provide air conditioning in your rooms, it is vital as there is no air flow, the windows cannot open any wider due to health and safety, I understand that but the rooms are stifling. We needed to change rooms on the second night stay. My son who is also autistic could not breath but the change of rooms had helped somewhat but it was still a second uncomfortable night for us
