The provided range of food for breakfast was appropriate. The full English was prepared individually and the wait was about 10 minutes. We were very pleased with the presentation and taste. Upstairs family room was comfortable. Coffee/tea/chocolate available, replenished daily. The siting of the room meant no noise transmission from the downstairs bar. We were given keys for late night entry, worked very well. Staff were friendly, professional and helpful.

We could not access internet upstairs despite the location of a router there and so used the internet downstairs.

The staff & the locals were fantastically friendly. We were supposed to of been going elsewhere on the evening but was enjoying it too much so stopped where we were.

The water supply was very iffy in our room(6) hardly any water came from the shower & the trickle we got was cold,couldn't get any hot water. The toilet took forever to re fill in order for it to re flush & we had a little fury visitor in our room,sadly it was no longer alive. Besides these issues we really enjoyed our stay & would visit again to enjoy the company of the locals.

On arrival first impressions of the area not good but when I took time to drive around it’s great location large retail outlet near with good restaurants The staff brill my room clean and great value for money way better than expensive town hotels which are to dear now I would go back def and staff and owner lovely people From outside its typical oldie Liverpool building but with a big heart inside

The best friendly, part of the family feel. Cute touches in the room. Lovely through and through. Liked the garden area for a drink/kids to play. Lovely staff/team who go the extra mile. Lovely regulars who are friendly - just like good old British pubs used to be, a very rare thing things days.

That we only stayed 1 night!

The breakfast was a full English breakfast plus cereals to start.

I requested a room change due to my age. The Manager was able to swap me with another client and I was very pleased.

The staff were very hospitable and created a relaxed homely atmosphere. The beds were extremely comfortable

Small thing.... We never got any t-spoons for our tea, and by the time we got back from a night out everything was all locked up. So nighttime access to crockery would be nice

The breakfast was very good, cooked freshly to order. Room was basic but nice and clean. It is an old building in an old part of town . The main reason for our excellent rating was the staff. So friendly and helpful, nothing was too much trouble for them.

We were made very welcome. The staff were very friendly and helpful. All the facilities met our expectations according to the price we paid. The bonus was the generous breakfast to start the day.

We did not find anything negative nor uncomfortable.

Nice little personal touch in the rooms which were spotlessly clean and beds were comfortable. Nice little pub with a lovely garden at the back- short bus ride into town. staff absolutely lovely. Amazing breakfast, will defo be back again
