Moxy Manchester City

We loved the lovely atmosphere and the staff were so nice and welcoming. The games in the lounge were a very nice idea for the evening to wind down before bed. The breakfast was also very good but disappointing that there was no fried eggs.

We didn’t like the lack of storage for your clothes and toiletries. There was no wardrobe but there was hanging space on the wall however absolutely no drawers at all and so consequently had to live out of our suitcase. This was fine as it was only 2 nights but definitely not something we are used to for a number of stays we have had over the years.

We went to the Moxy Manchester for a trip away on my birthday, and everything was absolutely exceptional. The room was decorated with happy birthday banners, a bottle of Prosecco and a carton of orange juice (at my request) The staff were extremely accommodating as my partner had brought a cake for my birthday and they had stored this in the fridge for us. To then later on in the evening after we had gone for a meal at Tattu, just a few minutes walk away, they had brought the cake out and sung happy birthday (to my embarrassment haha!) They were such lovely crew on, always happy to make you laugh. We always stay in Moxy whenever we can as they are always friendly and always have little quirks, to board games to photo booths. The rooms are sound proof so you can’t even hear people stumbling in, so it is even perfect for business or leisure. Highly recommend *****

When we arrived, we were greeted by the loveliest receptionist, who not only provided a list of recommendations but also a complimentary glass of alcoholic iced tea (it was delicious!). The ground floor was really quirky with a DJ booth, large games, and even a photo booth! When we got to the room, it was nice and clean, had a cosy bed and the shower was really good! We found the location incredible. It's super close to all the main amenities and places of interest. This hotel is definitely better suited for couples or groups who are looking to go out in Manchester as it is so central and has an 'adult' vibe

It was slightly annoying that there was no wardrobe or storage space, so storing clothes was difficult

The location was excellent, very central and close to everything. I had a very warm welcome and the free welcome drinks were a bonus. The room had a lovely view and was very clean and spacious. The lobby area was stylish and comfortable to relax in. The entire building has air conditioning which was a god-send on such a hot weekend!

The shower's water pressure was acceptable but not the best. There was very little space to hang things up in the room and no wardrobes. The 8th floor did not have an ironing room so I had to go down a floor; not the end of the world though.

For the price of breakfast, it was just fine. The pancakes were fab and kinda fun! It was everything you could want/need for a quick good sized breakfast. I especially wanted to thank and give praise for the guys working the night we stayed. After a total screw up on my part with rooms, they sorted us out and absolutely went above and beyond to make sure we were happy. Their names were Kieron, Matt and Steve…absolute rockstars and I hope they get at least a kudos or huge pat on the back from management. The whole place was even better than The Moxy in Manhattan!!!

The coffee was pretty poor…sorry.

Loved the location of this hotel, tucked away but still in the city centre and close to the music venue and restaurants we needed to go to. Ideal for Castlefield Bowl and both major railway stations. Comfy beds, modern bathroom with shampoo and conditioner provided, also a hairdryer and the room had plenty of plug sockets. The room was surprisingly quiet and we got a good night's sleep. We chose to eat out for breakfast but there was a buffet option available and room service available. Check-in was quick and easy and there was a key-drop facility as we checked out. Modern hotel with quirky features. We'd definitely stay here again.

No Sky Sports on the TV in the room but this wouldn't put us off as we didn't linger in the room for long.

Great location in Spinningfields, easy walking distance to Deansgate etc. Bars and restaurants are a very short stroll away. Decent price for food and drink in the Hotel itself, which is also next to a Nando's and across the road from a Tesco Extra and Sainsburys if want to buy some snacks etc. We were on floor 6 which was pretty quiet, no external noise to speak of and wasn't any noise from the rooms next to us we could detect, I'd stay there again. Staff were very friendly and helpful.

Bathroom was a tad on the small side, but not ridiculously so, wouldn't put me off going again.

We like the theme decor of the Moxy hotels, this was our second visit to one of the hotels. The staff is welcoming and friendly and the location very good .

We where given a room in the first floor therefore our natural light was dimmed by the buildings In front of the windows. Almost all of our towels were stained and we found the fact that there is no option to pay breakfast “a la cart”or full English breakfast versus continental makes it excessive for someone such as my daughter and myself whom only had a tea and two slices of toast with butter. Nevertheless the breakfast was good and the French loaf bread a very nice touch.

literally spotless and staff were lovely! nice and quiet. beds and pillows were actually the comfiest I’ve ever slept on. brilliant stay! 12 o’clock checkout is amazing too if you don’t want to rush!

We had the most relaxing stay at Moxy Manchester. Set back in a quiet back street off Deansgate, we were made to feel welcome as soon as we arrived ( there's even a welcome drink upon arrival, a really nice touch). All of the staff we encountered were friendly, approachable and nothing was too much trouble. This place is central to everything you want to see in Manchester (we were going to the AO Arena just down the road). Rooms were comfortable and breakfast was delicious. This place has a really relaxed, chilled out vibe (there's even board games in the seating area of the foyer). This place is a real gem and we loved it so much we've booked again for our next concert in a few weeks time. Keep up the good work!
