Roomzzz Manchester City

Location was perfect for shopping, tourist locations and food options. Room was nice, double shower was an unexpected but welcome surprise and the kitchenette was nice and functional. Grab and go breakfast was a pleasant addition, and made exploring the city comfortable. Staff were exceptionally lovely and always happy to help.

Carpet was a little old and could do with a refresh, general wear and tear of the apartment was to be expected. Shower head placement caused excess water to spill over onto bathroom floor. None of this caused any real distress and is only really nit-picking for the purposes of this review.

Room was very comfortable, modern and exceptionally quiet. Being placed on the lower ground floor was perfect for us as it was as previously mentioned very quiet and felt very private. Bathroom was also nice and modern.

It took 10-15 mins of waiting at reception for a staff member to arrive to check us in however we did arrive later than expected and every staff member we met was very polite and courteous so it's a very minor thing to note. Also there was an occasional scuff/mark on some of the walls in the room however again considering everything it was of little concern to us.

check in was good, grab and go breakfast was great. The room was quiet, nice decor, comfy bed.

the toilet, separate to the bathroom, was rather soulless and not clean...just the walls, the actual loo was good, but the walls and back of the door were covered in marks, that really aren't difficult to clean, wipe away. No mirror, no colour, very drab. there were mirrors in the bedroom area, but I couldn't see myself, my top half, in any of them...perhaps they were just there for effect rather than functionality. The basin in the bathroom splashed everywhere and you can't have the shower on fully, it floods the floor area beyond the shower curtain

The receptionist; Dania, was very welcoming, friendly and helpful. The coffee and breakfast facilities were all we needed and good to see it was included in the price. The location was excellent and near secure parking. The room was very clean and kept clean during our stay. The apartment was excellent value for money and very well designed. We particularly liked the novelty of having a TV in the bathroom.

The shower was not draining away quick enough so was filling up with water. The cistern in the ensuite toilet was dripping throughout the night. We did not report these, as it was a short stay and they did not interfere with our enjoyment of the apartment.

I was very pleased with our accomodation. The room made me feel like I was in the middle of NY with the decor, amazing size of room. Kitchen facilities fab, we were not there to cook in the midst of the city with all the food places but would not be a problem if we were. Bathroom huge, shower amazing, fluffy towels and lovely white company toiletries. Bed super comfy, generally a great apartment, 5 min walk to gay village, directly over from china town and easy access to the city at your leisure. The grab and go brekkie is genius, I was able to pop down pack up some pastries fruit, yogurt and juice cartons into handy little bags and take back to the room with a hot drink too (coffee machine with all the varieties as well as large selection of teas) I didn't even think to take my mug down with me as there are disposable coffee cups to fill, but should have to save the waste of cups. Reception staff are so lovely, chatty and seem generally interested in your stay being a pleasant one. I cannot fault a thing. oh and bonus there was air con in room which was amazing as the weather was scorching and us scots cannot handle that !! ps - amazing Greek Taverna out the front to the left and along the road, food was outstanding. As well as a tesco express, weatherspoons and a tram stop.

Excellent location but slightly unusual going downstairs to the reception area. Very friendly and welcoming staff. I stayed in a Grande studio on the 3rd floor. Very spacious room but even though 3 large windows it was quite dark and no view to speak of. Excellent facilities in the room but stove top, microwave and dishwasher were not used. Great idea having a swivel TV but I could see no reason for the 4 poster bed wood surround as it interfered with the view of the TV when sat on the sofa! Exceptionally quiet considering there is a very busy road right outside. Great bathroom although no real need for 2 sinks. The shower curtain, although practical, lowered the otherwise very high standard of the room. A great selection of coffee and tea for breakfast along with pastries and fruit, an outside seating area would have been lovely to enjoy breakfast on a sunny morning! I would stay again though.

The only things that I feel could be improved upon have already been mentioned. Remove the 4 post wooden bed surround as I see no need for that. No need for 2 sinks in the bathroom, if one were removed the shower glass screen could be extended and the shower curtain removed. An outside seating area would be great when having breakfast but considering the adjacent built up area there is probably nowhere suitable.

The room was huge, the bed was very comfortable. I liked the kitchen with the fridge and freezer compartment was a wonderful addition especially during the hottest day of the year was completely essential. Kitchen had many necessary items. The bathroom had 2 sinks and 2 overhead showers and one on the wall...wow I was shocked at how huge the shower alone was...wow amazing. I definitely would stay again

Everything was great just thought the oven would be a standard oven but it's a microwave oven...no problem as I used the hob and put on the fan extractor

Good location and spacious rooms. We had an issue as the air con wasn’t working but we asked to movies rooms as I’m pregnant and it was too hot to sleep, they moved us to a bigger, nicer room with air con so all good. There was free croissants, fruit and coffee in the reception area for breakfast too which we didn’t realise upon booking so that was a really nice extra!

The only issue was the room we moved to was only a 2 person room (there was 3 of us) so they put a small camp style bed up which was very uncomfortable.

the apartments were spacious, clean and had everything you needed. Staff were very helpful and friendly nothing too much trouble. Ali checked us in and he upgraded us just to make sure all our apartments were on the same floor. toiletries provided. grab and go breakfast was fabulous. hot drinks available 24/7. great location. q car park not far away and hotel give you a 25% voucher towards the parking (please note don’t make the mistake we did as we left the car park and ended up paying £22.50 both times) i recommend once you park up don’t leave

Friendly staff when we arrived. Large comfortable corner room, well equipped kitchen/iron. Nice surprise the complementary grab n go breakfast. Great central location.

Booking.com site states parking but it's a paid carpark not onsite (closest Q park more expensive than a couple that are a 10 min walk away). 25% discount didn't work the first night, staff didn't know if code only valid at certain locations or if there was a minimum spend to get the discount.
