99% of the staff were absolutely outstanding! Lorna, outstanding, Ricky, legend. Natalie and the young lass behind the bar (sorry I’ve forgotten her name! - spoke to me about Kylie performing and staying next door!) excellent. I’m fairly certain the GM also recognised us from last year - with the hilarious turn back and “hello!” - which considering the amount of custom they will get, was very nice! The room was lovely, could do with perhaps a little better lighting in the main room, but the bathroom was epic, separate shower/bath - and taps that are so powerful I’ve never seen a tap so strong! Bath took mere minutes to fill! A lot of comments about the noise in the local area on other reviews… with all due respect, you’re literally in the city centre - nightlife galore all around you… if you want quiet then perhaps this isn’t for you, but if you’re looking for a comfortable night and happy to have a slight noise outside (again, central city!!) then stay here.

Breakfast was ok, nothing wrong with it at all, but just ok. However for the weekend events, I can’t really fault it! One chap working reception had quite the stern manner and told us we had noise complaints made about “our floor” and insisted it was us. Considering the time, it was impossible for it to be us as we had literally just got back… alas, it didn’t dampen our weekend and the rest of the team made up for it!

Loved our stay here. We booked a family room (2 double beds in one room) but when we arrived we had been upgraded to 2 full size rooms (313 and 314) with an interconnecting door. This was because apparently Booking.com overbook rooms so the hotel has to try and accommodate everyone! Both rooms were lovely and tucked away in a corner so no one passing by. Huge beds and a lovely bathroom with both bath and shower. Our booking included breakfast which was really nice and plenty of choice. The hotel is in a good location. It’s about 10 minutes walk from Manchester Piccadilly station and 15 minutes to a lot of the main shops and restaurants. We caught the tram to the Trafford Centre and the tram stop was so only about 15 minutes walk. Highly recommend staying here.

I don’t have anything bad to say about this hotel at all!

Lovely hotel, clean and tidy, spacious rooms. Bed was super comfy. Premiere inn doesn't stand a chance! :D Breakfast was nice - whatever we could have that is :) (we have halal/veg diet) nice big windows and not noisy considering it was in the city centre. Good access to public transport. Quick check-in and check outs, no problems. Was just a one night stop over. Definitely will book again if needing a hotel in the city :)

Not much, only maybe that the corridor our floor was on had a slight tinge stench of weed but otherwise no problems. We had a comfortable night :)

The staff were very attentive, welcoming and helpful. Upon check in they were even kind enough to show me to my room. When I made a large order at the bar to take back to the room, rather than make two trips a very kind lady brought the rest of my order up for me. We had an issue at check in (IT issues) but we were able to leave our bags, enjoy a quiet drink in the bar area and then told when we were able to check in. The rooms were clean, and the location was perfect. The bar area had loads of areas to charge your phone / laptop should you need it. I thought the value for money was excellent.. I have stayed at a few ‘top hotels’ but why pay an absolute fortune when you can stay somewhere like the Townhouse which is in an ideal location, has a huge bar area, very kind and attentive staff as well as clean and modern rooms? I would stay here again for sure.

When at the bar, there was only one lager draft selection due to the Stella draught being empty. This isn’t a major issue, it just meant I didn’t stay in the hotel bar for as long as I’d maybe of hoped.

The room and breakfast were great. The staff on the desk were great when I arrived, can't remember his name sorry, but male, youngish and friendly! A real pleasure to stay there, and I will be back again (with my own shower cap!).

The shower is great if you like washing your hair every time you shower - but not everyone does. There was a handheld option but I assume this is only for feet as the cord was about 50cm long so there was no way of slithering in to shower my whole body! Shower caps should be supplied if you only have powerful overhead showers but there were none, not even at reception. The water pressure in the sink was immense and quite startling, if you're wearing white or pale grey trousers - you will look like you've wet yourself!

The hotel was centrally located right next to Manchester’s Canal Street and the heart of the city! The hotel was very well presented with very polite staff. The room was an executive king size with an immaculate and large bathroom, complete with separate shower, bath, dispensable body and hand gels. Two bathrobes and an iron and ironing board were also available in the room along with hangars in a storage closet. The room size was very large for a city centre room, with a decent compliment of tea, coffee and two mini biscuits. The bed was very large, definitely larger than a normal king and was exceptionally comfortable.

Improvements to the hotel would include ensuring that power sockets were located next to the bed, rather than on the tv side of the room. One aspect which I would change would be the door policy during the evening. The main doors were locked after 00:00 and if you arrived back during the evening were required to push a bell for attention. This is a little annoying and could certainly be improved by having electronic key card access.

We got a great rate for bed and breakfast cheaper than other hotels close by. The room was nice and spacious and bed comfortable. The breakfast was fantastic so much choice especially liked the sliced pineapple and melon everything so fresh. The hot breakfast was self serve and plenty. The waiters/waitresses at hand for any special orders like veggie sausages.

On arrival the bar didn't have any lager on draught seemed to have run out of everything which I guess isn't good on the run upto weekend. No biscuits with the tea and coffee in bedroom this has always been a norm in most hotels we have stayed, the little things go a long way.

The location was very good. A 10 minute walk from Piccadilly Manchester railway station and surrounded by places to eat. Arndale shopping centre nearby. Our room was very spacious and although overlooking the busy roads below , it was quiet. Breakfast was very good especially the cooked full English which was lovely and hot , not always the case in many hotels. The staff both in the kitchen, including Peter and the front desk staff very friendly and helpful

Just the one thing -it is a shame they are no longer putting on evening meals

The staff are so welcoming at reception (Philip), and I didn't get the girls name. We paid extra for early check-in, which was great as we had early flight that morning. Reason for our stay: My daughters going to see Coldplay in concert, I wasn't attending. I felt so comfortable at the hotel on my own, and Philip couldn't do enough giving us information on what we asked. The beds are so comfortable and pillows as well. The hotel is so central walking distance to everything, I would definitely recommend it 👌

Can't say everything was great.

The extra large king-size bed, which was super comfy. It was very quiet despite being in the city centre Good sized room

The room smelled like a previous smoker room. The Nespresso machine that was advertised on the hotel's website was missing, instead there was the standard tray with a kettle, tea and coffee sachets etc. The bathroom needed some TLC when it comes to the outside base of the shower (new filler or something), and the shelf for shower gel etc. was lose so nothing would stay on. The lighting is not very useful for doing makeup
