Roomzzz Manchester Victoria

The hotel was very nice, felt very welcoming, the room was very up to date and couldn't really fault it.

We didn't like how they just put a single bed in front of the sofa as you couldn't access the seating to watch TV without having to climb over the single bed. We wasn't a fan of the grab n go breakfast, we enjoy a proper breakfast but this wasn't a major issue, we went to the cafe down the road. Not that we didn't like it but we would have loved to have the lightening around the bed to have stayed on instead of it only working when you have the main light on, can't really see the effect of the light around the bed.

Location was great for the 5 min walk to the Arena with lots of food choices very nearby and a central Manchester location. Staff were pleasant and accommodating. Room was sizeable, well equipped and spotlessly clean. We had a microwave, induction hob, fridge, kettle, toaster and appropriate crockery and cutlery, glasses etc. Wasnt expecting a continental breakfast facility which was a bonus and very welcome. The room we had was nice and quiet facing toward the rear - even on a noisy Saturday night out the front when Michael Buble was in town. Loved the heated floor in the bathroom and the The White Company branded soap and shower products. Lovely bathroom in our room. Loved the different lighting zones too. Air con was good and didn’t know it was on as silent.

Room 324 was billed by Booking.com as having ‘a Landmark View’ which it didn’t (so was disappointed with that) and was a bit drab until the lights went on as it was located in a weird shape at the edge of the hotel with a high window - but because of that we probably had more space and it was quiet as mentioned above. The bed was uncomfortable and dipped in the middle which wasnt great. The sofa was ok for half an hour or so but not great for a film. Couldn’t open a window. TV was OK but with everything else so good, why wasnt it an HD TV? Couldn’t get discount on the Q-Parks carpark as you now have to pre-book but we had already parked the car and discount not honoured by Q-Parks - but not the fault of the hotel.

The building is beautiful and the hotel is in a fantastic location. Close to the tram, shops and food outlets. Loved the kitchen set up. We only stayed for 1 night, with a late check in and early checkout so we didn't get to use it, but I definitely would if we were staying longer. The beds were comfy and we had a great nights sleep. The showers has good water pressure and were easy to use. Staff were friendly and very welcoming. The management team were accessible and responsive.

The room wasn't cleaned to the expected standard, however once we flagged this the staff sorted it out for us. Grab and go is a great idea however the food station was a really untidy and the food wasn't covered so we left it. We checked in late evening and struggled to access reception and the main door was locked. We managed to get in though and had a great nights sleep! The frosted glass doors on the toilet were a bit off putting.

We had booked this place to stay for my birthday celebrations and I can safely say this place has been the major talking point on my first time in Manchester. Our flight brought us in earlier than expected and I rang ahead to arrange the possibility of checking in a little early. I spoke with Martin (i think) on the phone and he couldn't have been more lovely and helpful. On arrival to the beautiful building of the Corn Exchange we were greeted by him on the front desk. He had a great personality, very helpful & quickly checked us in. It was such an amazing surprise (especially on my birthday) to find out we had been upgraded to the suite. I have absolutely no words for how beautiful this room was. On entering the room we found a beautiful spiral staircase up to a gorgeous observatory with 360 views of Manchester. Every detail of this room was utterly beautiful and the beds where honestly the most comfortable thing I have ever laid on. Beautiful romantic decor in every room and the observatory made for a perfect setting to end the nights celebrations with a glass of wine and share some breakfast together in the morning. I cannot wait to rush to this hotel the next time I return to Manchester...I will not be booking anywhere else, a true gem in the heart of the city. The hotel has a complex of bars and restaurants within the building and were able to take some cocktails up to the room while we got ready. I'm not sure where my partner got the watermelon mojitos from but they were delicious. On the recommendation of the lovely check in staff we made our way to Ziva for the most perfect pre concert meal. When we returned home from the concert in New Century, the lovely lad working on the night desk was so helpful informing us of some nice cocktail bars to finish of our night. Be at One was a nice recommendation and my partner really enjoyed it. Thank you so much to all the team at Roomz for making my Manchester experience so special..

From start to finish we were looked after by staff here. We arrived, having booked a standard room (I did let the hotel know beforehand it was our anniversary); they upgraded us to a suite 😀 which was two stories ! We had swan towels, rose petals on the bed, a congratulations card from staff (namely Olivia in reception) and complimentary crisps, bottled water, diet coke and popcorn! Oh and late check out too! Amazing ❤️ thank you so much for making our 8th wedding anniversary special.

I liked everything about our stay.

The location was excellent for food, drink and shopping but other areas were easy to access thanks to being incredibly close to the tram service which was very straightforward to use. The check-in process was simple and our room was such good value for money, it was incredibly clean and spacious and lovely to have the kitchen area which made the stay more comfortable than a standard hotel room. We had one issue with the hotel card reader as it started to flash red and wouldn’t allow us to put on any of the lights or use the plug sockets etc, but this was close to when we were checking out and the staff were helpful and asked if we needed to use anything electrical before we left.

There is honestly nothing I could fault at all.

I did not know what to expect but as soon as I got there but once I walked in the reception check in was smooth and the room was brilliant, went to use the shower and it was leaking from the top, went down to ask if there was anything I could do and the young lad on reception said that I could move room at no extra cost. when he took me up to the room he said that he upgraded me 2 times and said if I needed anything else then to let him know, eve the security were amazing and could have a chat with them and a laugh

Had to change rooms because our aircon wouldn't work in the original room. Was a quicky easy swap over. Downside is we weren't told how to use the aircon so it was a bit loud through the night, but given the heat it was amazing to not swelter. The room(s) was beautiful and location couldn't be better. I rather like the idea of the little breakfast bar where you could help yourself. Also brilliant that there's a little food market in the foyer for you buy ingredients /meals to be able to cook for yourself.

Nothing really.

Fantastic central location - front doors face Selfridges. The view from our room was so lovely facing a large cathedral. Large grand hotel which has been done up very nicely. Rooms large and spacious with all amenities you would need. Shower pressure was great and was a waterfall shower. There was an area to buy essentials eg mouth wash or food for the room such as pizzas and ready meals. There was also a small complimentary breakfast with pastries, fruit, juice and coffee. I really think they thought well in these last two aspects.

Was a long walk to our room as seemed to be able to go one way round (or signs to reception took you one way round) we were in a rush to get to the arena so had to run to room and back! Would happily pay a bit more for room to be a smart TV.

lovely building, warm, welcoming, and clean.

although the stay was comfortable and clean there was a few small issues that were unexpected for the price. the tap in the kitchen was very loose on its fitting. The tv was oddly responsive. would turn off on its own. remote would work and then not. had to unplug to turn it off a few times. and the kitchen towels (less so on the bathroom but still a small amount) smelt like grease. They were definitely cleaned but like they had been cleaned with greasy items and hardly any detergent. we used a small bathroom towel instead.
