Bed was comfortable. room was nice in the attic with a sky window view of the main road. which is nice not too hot in there either which I liked. shower was nice too. Reception staff seemed nice and welcoming.

key stopped working dead on checkout time and sometimes there is nobody on reception. I lost my wedding ring and we checked out late. if I had not been in the room while my husband was taking bags down don’t know how we would have fetched the rest of our belongings. Big no is there is no lift which is not good when your pulling cases up 2 flights of stairs.

Perfect location, 192 bus runs all day all night and stops right outside. Staff were friendly on check in, and kindly gave an upgrade for the ground floor room. Although I didn't use much, the TV on the wall was huge and high quality. Would be very nice for a couples night in.

It may be nice to have some breakfast on site as there's nothing particularly close by, but the place was quiet, it may not be worth it for them. Don't let old bad reviews put you off, they are working hard to fix this you can tell.

The shower, had a fridge & microwave

Room smelt of damp, had to go buy air fresheners for the room.no plug socket for the kettle had to put it on the floor to boil it. And lastly plug hole in the shower had a hair filter in it that looked like it's never been cleaned was full ...(only looked cus shower was filling up with water

The mattress on the bed was something myself and my daughter felt was excellent quality. They did not look great but was excellent in firmness and support. The hotel is situated off a main road, so very easy to find. I was worried that we would be woken by lots of traffic early in the morning, but I didn't hear a thing. We kept the window open a little through the night because the heating was more than we're used to. Very clean room and bathroom. The ridge was the same, very good condition and clean. I felt the room was large enough for us to put our bits and pieces on the floor without tripping over them- though there is plenty of wardrobe and cupboards, we were only staying one night and so we kept our things on the armchair etc. All in all, a restful place and really helpful staff in the front desk.

The only slight negative is the fact that the shower head on the hand held shower was broken. It was possible to use it and there was also a large fixed one over head. So no biggie. The flooring in the bathroom I think was waterproof underlay. Again, no issue with it and there were plenty of large clean towels and a bath mat. So not really a negative

In short: great manager, respective staff, good value, near tram station and one bus away from Manchester city centre. In details: I came here when i just moved to Manchester and had to find a pace to live, it was during the weekend when prices were extremely high in Manchester as usual as the place here was very competitive! Room was clean, bathroom was large, bed was comfortable, manager was very kind where he showed me the room and offered me to see another one on the first day when i only had reservation for only 1 day. I ended up staying more days! The place was calm to the most part. Due to covid, cleaning was a little bit challenging for someone who would stay this long like me but in general they did their best even when i wasn’t there. It says that reception is only from 3-10 or 11pm but in fact i did see the manager staying longer hours and did see some staff who would come around noon to do some work on/off reception. Communication was very excellent. It is also a 5 minutes away by bus from stockport where you have access to shopping, grocery, restaurants .. ets.

We have stayed here twice now. Each time for between 2-3 days. We have been happy with both rooms we have had. Very spacious, clean, comfortable beds, quiet and an amazing shower! The fridge and microwave are a great extra (that most hotels don't have) if you are staying for a number of days as it allows you to cook easy ready meals and store drinks and fridge foods. Parking is great, good amount of spaces and right outside reception so you feel it will be safe. The reception staff are so friendly and accommodating. The location is great, plenty of options for delivery if you want to order in, or a five minute drive from a road full of cute bars, restaurants and pubs or a 10 minute drive to RedRock if would prefer. I will definitely be staying here again.

Receptionist very welcoming and helpful. He gave us a room on the ground floor because we are 'senior citizens'. Room comfortable and warm. Lovely snow white linen. Plenty of hot water. Fridge, microwave and drink making facilities in room. Plenty of coffee and tea in reception. Bus stop outside of hotel. Walking distance to pubs/restaurants.

Toilet seat kept coming off despite maintenance fixing it once. My husband kept fixing it. could do with grip handle to climb into bath, vending machine empty. Only one bedside table. No drinking glasses for cleaning teeth/taking tablets.

Really happy with my stay it was a last minute as my car was getting fixed and unfortunately wouldn't be ready untill the next day, the staff were wonderful and went above and beyond to make my stay pleasant, I would definitely stay again

I think the shower drain may be blocked as it wouldn't drain when I had a shower

Put some money into the toilet seats and shower screens. Some of them are crazy and dangerous and must leak down to a lower level . And make the heating fully controllable. Loads of rooms have radiators that dont work in the bathrooms. Not big jobs . But would make the stay during winter perfect

No bedside lights. Just main big light

lovely and clean, en suite looked brand new, nice toiletries and branded tea and coffee. stay made extra comfortable with the added bonus of a mini fridge and microwave in the room! lovely stay and good value wood 100% use again.

was unaware we needed photo ID at check in, luckily guy on reception let us stay but something to be aware of if staying here as booking.com dosent make this clear.
