Diamond Lodge

I was so impressed by the staff from the very start. A really warm welcome with all needs discussed and met. When my frends arrived early the next day, it was no trouble to have extra provisions so we could make a drink in my room and wait till they could book in. We needed a taxi and Uber wasn't working, so one of the staff on reception ordered a taxi that was there in 5 minutes without the extra charge that some hotels have! The breakfast was fully stocked and refilled with no hurry to move you away when the end of "breakfast time" was reached. Checking out was quick and easy. I woud say that all the staff made the stay a great success - Thank you !

The bar shut at 12 I understand that's an good time but for weekend maybe stay open a little longer I also wasn't to happy having to check out at 10am due to me doing so tired There also wasn't really any food available past 7pm so ordering food was necessary Also there wasn't a lot if charging ports and the only ones you did have in your room where really far away from the bed so can't put phone on bedside table on charge

The free parking and price influenced our decision on choosing this hotel. It's situated in a convenient location where we wanted for our visit too. There were very few guests there when we stayed, so it was nice and quiet. The interior of the hotel and our room was clean and tidy. The food they provide is for breakfast only and there is a nice array on offer. Any other time, if you're hungry, there are vending machines that offer drinks, sandwiches, confectionery and meals that can be microwaved. If nothing that they offer takes your fancy, there are shops, restaurants and takeaway places within the vicinity of the hotel. There is also a bar in the hotel, but we didn't make use of it. The staff are pleasant, and the member who was on reception on the afternoon that we arrived kept his cool under duress. The hotel had a power outage due to a power company turning the electric off to perform some emergency work near the grounds. A guest didn't take too kindly to this happening (as they were mid-shower) and gave this poor receptionist hell, even though it wasn't the hotels fault! All in all, we would definitely stay here again.

We found the pillows were a bit too soft for our liking, and the complimentary pack of biscuits were already open. The road noise and sirens during the first nights stay kept me awake. It didn't interfere with my sleep on the second night, though! Maybe the glazing needs a bit of an update to address that issue. But these issues I've listed here are pretty minor and wouldn't put us off from booking this hotel again.

Room was very clean and tidy and quite modern. Bed was very comfy too. Good Wi-Fi signal so I could attend VC meetings from my room. Breakfast was great with lots of options, healthy and not quite so healthy, and the staff were very friendly. I would highly recommend as this is excellent value for money.

The room was on the outer edge of the hotel facing the road so there was a fair bit of traffic noise. I was here for a mixture of leisure and work, which was a night shift, so I needed my earplugs the following morning. I’ve stayed here before in a room overlooking the car park and this was much quieter.

I do like this Hotel hence why I have used it several times. it just works for me location and every room is spacious.

the guy on the reception on Friday I thought was very rude and certainly did not want to be there, he wasn’t helpful at all and hummed a big sigh when I asked him could he change a £10.00 note for coins to buy out of the vending machine. and I was also misinformed by him as to what time breakfast was available to he said 11 am on a Saturday but I found that it was 10am and there was nothing hardly left there for when I turned up at 9.45 very disappointing.

hotel provides parking and not too far from city centre, room was clean and comfortable. breakfast was good, the usual but hot and made to order if not on the counter. In a quiet location too and still close to amenities such as supermarkets, take outs. Good to see a hotel with lights over the dresser instead of dim lights with no brightness.

Only one key issued, but that's no biggy. late check out would have been nice, especially on a sunday. Staff could have been a bit happier, but is was early on a sunday morning.

I like everything about Diamond Lodge,the staff were great and friendly and also very honest,because after I left the next day,I realised I left my phone charger behind,o phone up and they had it,and sent it to my address,excellent My room was great nice and big,bathroom was ok,love the bar,had a nice pint of beer,when I arrived,although they could do with having crisps and peanuts.

Hotel was great,but lack of public transport is what let it down and the miserable cab driver to the football ground Manchester City,wasn't very helpful and I asked about getting back and said I can't hek

Perfect for the intention just needed somewhere to stay one night as going to friends. It was clean and bed was comfy, facilities in room good and liked how they had an ironing room to use. The lady we saw when we arrived on reception was lovely, went up in the lift to our room and we were pleasantly surprised. We didn’t make breakfast unfortunately as we didn’t get back till late, but £85 including breakfast was a great deal, would definitely recommend and we would stay again.

Nothing to dislike for its purpose

I asked for an earlier time to check in and the hotel accommodated me with that, also asked for rooms next door to each other and they made sure we had next door rooms. The hotel was very clean and the room was too. Staff were super helpful and even helped with lactose and gluten free food for breakfast. Breakfast was a buffet style and was very nice. Hotel was easy to find. Great stay all in and I would use this hotel again. 5* rating

Our stay went well and everything was great. Nothing to complain about. 5* star

free parking, nice hotel , nice good size room we could do exercise in the morning time))) warm if you switch on the radiator. Value for money. location for us was very good, near from visa centre (5 minutes by car), around 15 minutes to center by car.

no restaurants in the hotel and the nearest area, at 9 pm we went to center city for eating and we didn’t find good restaurants ( I don’t like Indian food sorry). noisy in the room because of road. breakfast I think typically English or American, no healthy food ( for one day it is ok but not more)
