The staff here are amazingly welcoming. Nothing was to much for them. Friendly attentive and funny. The room was beautiful. Very clean and the beds were soooo comfortable. I loved that earplugs were provided in case you didn’t like the music. ( it’s the little things that count). We just joined in. Everyone was so friendly. The general area outside the pub and the high street was also friendly but could do with a tidy up and a bit of a face lift. Maybe a few traffic bumps down the Main Street outside are needed due to all the boy racers that speed down the high street.

The main property was lovely. Still has some of the original decor and artefacts in place, which is lovely to see.

The staff were exceptional here, everyone was really lovely and attentive. The pub is in a prime location with plenty of surrounding shops if you needed anything. The food in the hotel was delicious especially the breakfast. The beds were really comfortable and the rooms were really spacious, fantastic for the price!! We'd definitely stay here again when visiting family!

I can understand what they said about the music being loud on a weekend but that is entirely understandable and actually when you're in the room the music is not that bad and we still slept very comfortably despite a dj being downstairs until 1am.

We stayed in their family room which was lovely and spacious and very clean. The beds were very comfortable as well. They are also a dog friendly hotel which was a bonus. The staff were fantastic and very helpful. We stayed during the week so had no issues with noise from the pub below. Just to mention that they do provide noise cancelling earbuds on the tea tray which was stocked with a great and plentiful selection. The price including breakfast for 3 is also very competitive. Will definitely 💯 stay again when visiting family.

Perfectly placed for our visit to March

The food was a bit poor , the carrots inedible replaced with an apology with more inedible carrots . The staff said the vegetables were precooked . The sliced carrots were strange I couldn’t bite into them at all cooked like slices of rubber . The cooked breakfast was of poor quality too for the £6 charge. I ate one egg and one sausage , I left the rest of the breakfast which looked like it had been sitting on the plate for sometime. I’ve worked in catering so I know the standard that food should be . Dissapointed

Very good value for the price

The pluming in the bathroom and the toilet has a problem with it woke me up at 4 am with noise of water backing up in my toilet from another room and was quiet loud and dose the same in the morning when empty the sink of water it makes noises in the toilet with the water pressures going backward and foreword and they is a big gap under the main door so light come in to the room all night and make it hard to sleep so strip should be put at the bottom of the door to stop the light comeing in room no1 apart from that I had a lovely stay and I will come again mr perry

Regular returning guests. The Griffin is not a "plastic" style hotel. It is a wonderful old probably 17c. Inn & Ale House with rooms and entertainment at weekends, which may not be to everyone's liking. The addition of ear plugs (if req.) is a caring touch. Well stocked bar and outside tables in this bustling N. Cambridgeshire town centre.

Steep stairs to bedrooms are a problem for guests with walking difficulties. However, staff are always willing to assist with carrying luggage. Thank you.

Returning guest. Always good for service, cleanliness, food and comfort. Historic building, mostly accessible for disabled guests, however bedrooms are on first floor and there is no lift.

Access to first floor bedrooms is by steep stairway. This may cause problems for some disabled people but staff are always willing to assist with luggage.

The staff are amazing. Blinking heck they work so hard and just want to help your stay be as comfortable as possible. They really deserve a pay rise. Amazing.

I was warned and given ear plugs because of the music. But music wasn't a problem. The traffic, drunken people loitering outside were, I have realised how many decibels a drunken person can speak. Music no problem, I wish I was roomed under the night club (let's be fair it wasn't a disco ♥️) So taxi's arriving, high street taxis, squabbles, and my poor 18 year old trying to get past the bouncer then past 'night club clientele' through the magic curtain to the safety but noisy room was an experience. I wish we were above the dance floor at least that would have ended at 2am.

Our room was very pleasant, clean, large and pet-friendly; we walked back in at 11pm on a Friday night and, as was to be expected, it was very noisy in Ye olde Griffin but we were delighted that our room was quiet and we didn't hear any noise from below. At 1am on kickout there was noise from outside in the streets but it didn't really worry us. The breakfast was very satisfactory in the morning - the cooked food was hot and delicious - a great one-night stay.
