Excellent location with easy access to Gloucester and Ross on Wye. Room spacious and airy with a comfortable bed and decent shower. Evening meals excellent in choice and quality. Good choice of local ales. Staff superb.

Location on a busy road so early morning traffic noise. One night had loud music from a nearby venue till the early hours. Breakfast food quality not up to the standard of the evening meals. No restaurant or bar on Sunday evening that I was made aware of so unable to get a late dinner at the venue or in a nearby town,

Breakfast was marvellous staff very attentive and most friendly.we enjoyed a family gathering for an evening meal. All meals nicely cooked ,waiting staff most efficient. We felt the meal was good value for money. Our room nicely furnished , bathroom good and clean.

My personal preference would be to have table cloths on for meals . That’s it really. Silly but that’s just me

Lovely quaint Inn beautifully refurbished. Low beams and log burner in the main bar/restaurant. Lovely local pub atmosphere. The rooms had beautiful beamed ceilings. Bed was very comfortable and fresh and the shower was excellent. Plenty of space in our room which was tastefully furnished and very efficient, controllable central heating. The evening meal and the breakfast were excellent and the service first class and friendly.

The toilet seat in our bathroom would not stay up. The television did not allow us to watch some major channels such as BBC1 but otherwise the reception was good.

The room was cosy and quiet and the beds comfortable. The bespoke oak fittings and blacksmith style hinges and door furniture were very impressive, and the quirkiness of the low doorways added to the ambience. The staff were very friendly and professional and the outside seating area to the rear was perfect for an evening meal in the warm sunshine. Despite being close to a main road we were not at all disturbed by traffic noise.

Absolutelynothing!

I loved the friendly atmosphere when you walked into the place. I also came by vespa and there was a handy bike shelter that I managed to park it in, overnight. The room was clean and cosy but it was only a short stay so didn't manage to make the most of the bath or have breakfast.

The room was above a pub so a little noisy if going to bed early - pre 11pm but once shut it was super quiet

The height of the cellings we're an issue for me being 6ft. The shower was near impossible to use unfortunately so had to take it off the rail but still banged my head several times on the celling. Would have been good to know this information before booking. Being disabled made this more difficult to manage. Glad I only booked the one night. Road noise an issue

Food was excellent, staff helpful and friendly. Good range of drinks available. Bed was okay, location was easy enough to find and lots of parking available.

The standard of cleanliness and Covid 19 precautions were exemplary. The staff were attentive and efficient. The sausage I had for breakfast was the best I have ever tasted.

A more varied menu but that is understandable at the moment given the difficulty in recruiting staff. I don't like credit card terminals which ask if you want to leave a gratuity as I had already given a large tip to the waitress the evening before. It makes me feel mean selecting the 'no' option.

The breakfast staff were very friendly and gave good service. The room was quiet and the bathroom very clean and well presented.

The check in was a little confusing at first as there was no signage for those staying or pre information to say just turn up and talk to the bar people.

Lovely spacious room, clean and modern in a 17th century setting. Huge bathroom with deep bath, bidet and great shower. We had the deluxe king size double room and it comfortably met that standard.

The breakfast service was a little haphazard and not of the same standard as the evening meal we enjoyed in the pub's restaurant the night before.

Location and food was excellent

Room location was a little noisy but helpfully all went quiet just after 10pm. Breakfast a little chaotic as they were busy and didn't seem prepared, despite ordering breakfast the night before , it was pot luck in the morning but it was nice
