Lynnhurst Hotel

Excellent hotel with outstanding room, very luxurious! Staff being very friendly and giving valuable advice. Good breakfast, coffee, tea and chocolates in the room, free parking, beautiful garden. 18km from Glasgow centre, but only a 10' walk from Johnstone station, from there 15' by train to Glasgow central. Easy and cheap (5,4£ pp return off-peak). So no parking issues, parking in Glasgow is rather expensive and customers complain about the parking facilities.

A pity that we were woken up once at 7:15h by a fire alert, but that was not the fault of the hotel (a stupid gast?).

The property is two lovely old houses joined by a modern addition. Our room (executive double number 4) was decorated and furnished to a high standard. the bedding was great quality and very comfy. The room had a nice outlook from 3 large windows. Our evening dinner was good size portion and tasty. Lovely staff, and reception staff wished us a happy anniversary on check in, nice touch 👍🏻 Breakfast was buffet style and a good selection. Beautiful gardens and quality toiletries. would happily book again.

A little awkward to find as we thought we had driven into a residential area. No water provided in the rooms, only via charge from mini bar and no conditioner in toiletries, only small issues. Breakfast hot drinks flasks where a bit mixed up, should have been one of each, hot water, tea (with bags in) coffee and milk, but we appeared to have no tea just milk and 3 coffee. Which led to som confusion with the guests. Waitress soon sorted when queried

The ambience, rooms, restaurant and above all exceptional customer service of the front desk staff ( especially Clare) and the restaurant staff. The breakfast was amazing and impressively presented. I would say the best ever customer service we ever received . The room decor is beyond compliment. So relaxing and peaceful . Definitely going back to stay here for our next vacation. My child just loved everything about this hotel. Her favourite spot was the powder room. We miss our room 11 which was so spacious with modern decor . The arch window opened out to the view of garden and fountain. Perfect hotel for family.

Everything is perfect

Breakfast was fine. A little limited in choices available. We were a party of 7 for breakfast it but no staff to help us accommodate this umber at a ta me. Overall Theresa’s a very noticeable shortage of staff. We had a long wait for someone to take our dinner order and in-fact I had to go to the bar to place the order. The l we had a 40 minute wait for the first course and a half hour wait for mains. We asked for our bill but after half an hour it had not been brought so ended up having to go an Ito the bar with a long wait as no-one was there, to ask again for the bill. As we were evening guests at a wedding in the hotel this long delay for dinner meant we were very late arriving at the wedding. Nota great experience but the room was good and the staff friendly enough if a bit harassed.

More staff to avoid the long delays.

We really liked this hotel. It's in a nice quiet location with a lovely garden to the rear, and the rooms were also very quiet. We had dinner there as well as breakfast, and the food was always good. The staff were exceptionally friendly and helpful; nothing was too much trouble for them.

I'd prefer to be able to order my own coffee in the morning, so that it's fresh - but I can appreciate that it's easier for the staff if guests help themselves from thermos pots. They have a lot of work to do.

We only stayed for one night as we had an early flight the next day. Easy access to the airport. Lovely welcome and quiet area. Free parking and plenty of food for breakfast. Internet connection was good enought to do an online meeting before we left.

It would have been nice if the room or hotel had conditioner available. Breakfast wasn't bad - but there was room for improvement (e.g coffee could be made fresh, and the scrambled eggs were a little overdone). But the buffet style was as expected and similar to other places we have stayed.

The Lynnhurst is a really pleasant place to stay. The room was large, spotlessly clean, and the staff were brilliant. We arrived late and Rachel welcomed us, showed us our room, and helped us with our bags. The breakfast was good and the staff serving were very very helpful and polite. A bit more breakfast choice would have been nice - more fruit and some yogurt, for example. And where was the porridge?! We strongly recommend this hotel and will be back.

Really positive welcome, we had been called regarding whether a restaurant booking was required, we accepted and it proved to be an excellent decision for both nights with good fresh food, served by staff who were all helpful and obviously allowed to express their individual personality 😀 Breakfasts were also very good. Using the sister hotel's Bowfield Health Club both days was free, simple and straightforward to reach, 3.7 miles away, this too was scrupulously clean with a lovely pool, jacuzzi and sauna/ steam room.

Hospitality and Service. Especially, the way they looked after our morning pack breakfast before strating our journey towards Glasgow Airport. Very well done. The hotel's overall service was fantastic and the staffs were so helpful. Thank you Julia, Alison, Chevvon at reception and all members in breakfast club. We will surely stay again in this hotel.

I would suggest they should arange a lift facility for their customers as it will add an exceptional value in the hotel.

friendly staff. Good location for Glasgow Airport. Beautiful old house and beautiful gardens. The en-suites are very good and worth the extra.

Well, Johnstone isn’t a “desirable” town so you will need a car. The restaurant isn’t that good and often there’s functions going on which can be a pain if your room isn’t too far away. The plumbing is quite old so getting the right shower temperature is the usual comedy show. But this comes with the outstanding staircases and stained glass windscreen
