Loved the atmosphere and the fact it was such an old property. The room was very spacious, the staff were very helpful and welcoming. The bar area was great with everything you can think of stocked. The food in the restaurant was first class and again all the staff were really helpful and polite. A thoroughly enjoyable and relaxing stay.

Our room was next to the external/rooftop extractor fans which were quite noisy, but thankfully all went quiet just after we went to bed.

The Littleton Arms is a very vibrant and busy venue, the food selection is very good and so is the beer. The restaurant becomes very busy in the evenings as it is very popular locally. The rooms are very comfortable and the staff are very friendly and helpful.

The extractor fan / aircon unit at the back of the kitchen was quite loud even with the windows closed, although it was shut down at around 10pm. The room is very warm (as is the whole building) but electric fans are supplied in the rooms.

Perfect for our needs. Pet friendly in a clean, comfortable room. Lovely, characterful old building. Nice country village location, with walks nearby for the dogs As we were leaving very early next morning for a dog show, we had a breakfast to go bag each left outside our door...Nice touch!

The bathroom, whilst being very clean, had an intermittent odour coming from the toilet. I guess in such an old building the plumbing is tricky to access to update. It didn't detract from a lovely stay, just kept bathroom door shut

The food is great, and the staff are fantastic, This was my birthday trip I went back to the Littleton arm as I regular stayed there for work and the food and rooms where good. I wanted to see if their offering had gone down since Covid, it had not if anything was better.

Not much, the rooms could be a little cooler. I would say have a better location for reception desk so that space could be used tables, it is very low on space.

Lovely place, one of the best quality value for money meals we have both had in a long time and would have happily paid more for the food, great selection of real ales would definitely recommend for the food alone.

Room on the front was a little noisy with wagons bumping past all night. Would have liked a cooked breakfast option as I'm sure it would be amazing quality, the continental on offer was nice though. The saniflo system was noisy could ideally do with insulating

Room was spacious, clean and well maintained as expected. The full English Breakfast was very Good but the Continental was rather ordinary. Coffee served was most enjoyable with refills as requested. Evening meals enjoyable and the selection of Ales and Shorts was very Good. Staff were Polite, helpful and knowledgable and it was good to see the Owner Hands On and welcoming, plus monitoring/helping the Staff as required.

Continental Breakfast was disappointing and a full english breakfast or equivalent hot meal choice would have been more appreciated on both days etc. Breakfast Service was efficient and prompt with the duty lady regularly checking if all was OK etc. Selection of Gin's and other spirits was very good, though double measures charged at full rate and quite pricey mixers to boot was slightly disappointing but at least very enjoyable and we got what we ordered. We will definitely be revisiting again.

We had a lovely overnight stay. The food was good value, and I had a pina colada, which was beautiful. Loved the character of the building and was really useful that it also had a separate late night entrance.

The room was ridiculously hot (due to the weather), and the poor small fan in the room really wasn't compatible with the high ceilings. The bathroom was also a little disappointing and small. Didn't fit with the character of the room.

This was the second time coming here, and the staff were exceptional on entry and throughout our stay. Really enjoyed the food, and they also allowed us to take our cheeseboard up to our room as we were celebrating my birthday. I am looking forward to our 3rd visit in the future.

There wasn't an option for an earlier breakfast, which meant we weren't able to take advantage of the breakfast included in the price.

Friendly, efficient welcome. Nothing was too much trouble and the room (No7) was on a corner of the building - with its enormous period sash windows had quite a view on both sides. Comfy bed and decent room facilities were good but the evening meal in the bar and a very good breakfast omelette gets you an extra point. We got one of the last spaces in the sizeable carpark but extra on-street parking was available down the side.

I slept well but my partner noticed one or two 'late revellers' coming back to the hotel and the 'night access' door was right by our window. But hey, if there'd been a fire, we'd have been first out! Room lighting was by wall lights above the bedhead..a bit all or nothing.

The staff are lovely, the food is good. We stayed at the weekend and the cooked breakfast options were great. Free parking on-site was handy.

The bed was very creaky (though it was comfortable) and the room got really hot. A small fan was provided but this didn’t really cool us down!
