The Manger was especially helpful and very efficient seeing us to our accommodation. Our rooms were clean and comfortable. The front of House restaurant Manager was super busy and efficiently dispatched patrons to their tables, he was exceptionally kind and fitted us in; we hadn't known to book in advance. The food was good value, great choices and variety. Service from everyone; all the young woman waiters as well was "beyond". Also, I liked the character of the place - lounge and building and bar. Bonus - fun Llamas to watch being fed.

Nothing: everyone and everything was superb.

Perfect location for a trade show we were attending at Stafford County Showground. Every single member of staff was so friendly and helpful. The menu and food were amazing. We ate in the restaurant both nights, every table was taken which is a sign of a good restaurant, the pub was really busy. Great breakfast with both full English and a vegetarian option and they were very accommodating to our tight time schedule for the mornings. The room was a good size with clean and fresh linen and towels. We will definitely be back.

Absolutely nothing - it was just perfect

The staff were all very kind and helpful everyone had a smile. The meals were a treat and presented very well.Really liked the interior tables were well spread out, chairs comfy and a pleasant atmosphere Our room was called Cosy and it was certainly that. The bed, pillows and duvet were superb had a great nights sleep.Location was perfect for us as we were attending an event at the Stafford show ground.

Very minor issue with the shower door off the runner at the bottom and a tile that needed putting back in place didnt affect usage and shower water was lovely and hot. It did say in the details on booking.com garden view but our room certainly didnt have that again it didnt bother us as only there for one night. Would have liked a biscuit or two with the coffee/tea facilities.

Love the location, lovely room with nice coffee & tea facilities and toiletries plenty of soft towels. Bed comfy and like it that you can log into Netflix if you have an account. Have stayed before very convienient for showground and nice walks nearby.

tile still off in bathroom shower which was off on our previous visit so should really have been sorted by now. Breakfast service extremely slow 40 min wait for a veggie breakfast and we were first there. Another couple walked out they had somewhere they needed to be.

My room was fresh, modern and spacious. Very comfortable bed and nice touches like bottled water and White Company toiletries. Excellent, generous breakfast, cooked freshly to order. All staff very pleasant. I didn't dine there, but it seems to have an enthusiastic local following.

I was disappointed that a problem with the shower temperature, reported on day 2, had not been sorted when I left on day 4.

The location of the property was lovely. The staff were excellent and very personable and helpful. Breakfast was of a good standard and although we didn’t have the full breakfast which looked lovely we enjoyed our choices. The bedroom was spacious with plenty of hot water. The bed was comfortable and the room was bright and clean. There was car parking available. We would recommend people to spend a night at the Saracen’s Head as it makes a lovely stop off for tourists.

A fan in the room would have been beneficial as the weather had become somewhat hot! However as we didn’t ask for one so we don’t know whether a fan could have been provided

Love the interior of the pub, love the friendly staff, loved the room, which I've had twice now, and loved the beer garden area. Food is a bit pricey but is always well presented and good to eat.

I reported last visit, a few months back, that the tap on the sink was not secured properly and may cause them problems later on by leaking, still not secured properly. I also reported the toilet seat was a tad dodgy, happy to say that that defect had been rectified. All hotels should give the visitor a feedback form so they can mention any minor repairs required, that way they could be addressed quickly and efficiently, such a simple thing to do but I never see it in any hotels I've visited recently.

Even though the automated email via Booking.com with our dining preferences wasn't received by the Saracens Head, they still managed to accommodate us for an evening meal on the Saturday evening of our visit.

We were pleased with the accommodation facilities and the cleanliness of our room. Perhaps a little compact for a longer stay but fine for a weekend. Just slightly noisy when the kitchen extractor fans were whirring away but didn't really detract from our stay. Breakfast and dinner was excellent.

Staff were excellent and helpful. Particularly the bar staff both in the evening and the morning. I’d walked 50 odd miles over two days and they couldn’t have done more for me

Only niggling thing was the window was open and thermostat was off so it was pretty cold when I got there. The shower wasn’t the easiest to figure out and was really hot at first but these were minor foibles really

It was clean and modern. It was near where we needed to be the next day and the staff we mostly friendly.

The menu for half board was limited and in the pictures saw one of my favourite meals but it wasn’t on the menus. The main road was busier than I imagined so it was noisy in the night
