I enjoyed breakfast selection which came neatly packaged, and reception staff always made me feel like there was nothing they wouldn't do to make my stay a comfortable one. Love the selection of magazines in the little lending library, very clever idea! The room and bathroom were clean and the beds were comfy. House keeping staff were very accomodating and helpful, always assistance with a smile. Free parking in a busy, bustling area is a bonus. Outdoor car park well-lit at night helped me feel secure as a woman travelling alone. Excellent location for access to the beautiful marina, the beach, wildlife walks, the lido and all the shops, all within walking distance enough to fill your time without having to take the car.

Probably out of Ibis remit of control but the patrons of the Posset Cup can get a little loud and rowdy at night, especially as the weather was nice so there were more opportunities to drink outside. But, resolved inconvienence myself by putting my headphones on and blocking out the world :)

Location here at the Ibis Portishead is bang on. Free parking too. I have stayed here more than once, and the staff always have been so kind, polite and helpful. The room with a view of the motoway is great, and in the near future it will overlook the Portishead Railway. The room facing the Marina is also great, maybe the nicer view point. Room has coffee machine and plenty of storage. Comfey beds. Enough bars and restaurants on your doorstep, and with easy shopping too. Lidl is below, with Waitrose and Home Bargains a stone throw away. Weatherspoon's is a great go to also which is a stone throw away. Portishead's Marina and High Street is no struggle to get to by foot, and plenty of walks to do. Bus stop is right outside if you wanted a trip to Bristol, an hour ride up ( and hr back ). Also direct bus to Weston-super-Mare, same bus stop outside the Ibis. This hotel is just a win win all round. However no gym, or restaurant inside, but the leisure Center is right across the road that also has a good swimming pool. You can arrange breakfast from the front desk, which is a package meal.

Getting to the far end of the Marina may be too far for some where the other restaurants are and Co op, but really it's easy to get too, a safe walk, and a 15 minute walk and you are there.

Really great location. Parking was easy. Room was practically furnished, good selection of tea/coffee/milk/sugar. Beds were comfortable, bathroom clean and equipped. Check in was welcoming, easy and the staff were very friendly and accommodating, as we wanted a room in the opposite side of the building - special mention to Leona who helped with this. There's a small lobby area with tons of magazines to read, unusual, nice touch! Very convenient having Lidl downstairs, Waitrose across the car park and a Wetherspoons round the corner. The marina and surrounds have a couple of nice restaurants and bars, it's a great place for a night before heading to Bristol airport, 1/2 an hour away.

Bit more table space and somewhere to put bags on, instead of the floor? But hey, nothing serious and everything else did exactly as it said on the tin.

The location was perfect. Park in the Lidl car park next door and enter your vehicle reg number at reception for free parking during your stay. Staff well very helpful and efficient. There are free magazines to borrow in reception. The lift, stairs and public toilet were spotless. Our room was clean with a TV, kettle, tea and coffee sachets. When we stayed the outside was very cold, our room was cosy and warm. The shower was the ideal temperature and pressure. The 12 o’clock checkout was a bonus that allowed us to explore the surrounding area before we collected our luggage and handed in the room keys. It was a thoroughly enjoyable experience at a excellent price.

This is a great hotel in a fab location. I had booked twice in the summer for my daughter who has moved down to Bristol and now we can visit her in Portishead knowing there is a comfortable hotel nearby at the Marina. The staff were very helpful and the room was comfortable and had everything we needed for our stay, even decaf coffee. Good value for money as we booked well in advance. The Italian Bottelinos opposite does a lovely evening meal, highly recommend and easy parking in Lidl car park at the side, just register your car on arrival. Lovely area to walk around the Marina and easy drive into Bristol.

It happens in every hotel little details only. Room 207 The window holder wire was broken so I was panicking every time my son wanted to have a look at the beautiful marina. In a corner Under the clothes rack the carpet smells bad like humidity or like someone left a dirty jacket for many days and the carpet got that smell. Was nice to find shower gel although it does not smell nice. I have to say that we were so happy and pleased with the room view and the lovely staff Thank you . We will come back on Christmas. Diana

The Scouse lady on reception who helped us with our room problems & couldn't do enough for us she was brilliant

We got to our room I needed a shower it was jammed on red hot couldn't change it apparently had been reported to maintenance but they hadn't sorted it! Moved rooms the under sheet had brown stains on it but was changed for us immediately Obviously the cleaning supervisor hadn't checked the room properly & signed it off as clean!!!! But as in previous comments the member of staff on duty was fantastic & sorted it all for us

The room was clean and adequate for two people. Two extra pillows were available on a shelf in a zipped bag, they were clean and ready to use The bed was quite comfortable and warm despite there was only a thin quilt, it was surprisingly warm and comfortable. There was a couple of sachets of coffee and 2 teabags plus milk and sugar but cleaners provided more when asked. The blackout curtains were effective and kept the early sunshine out of the room when we wanted a lie in. The Tv was small but only a few channels available on it. Wifi was a bit slow. But we enjoyed our stay. Two large bath sheets and one hand towel were provided but only a tiny bar of soap that didn't lather. The shower/hair dispenser was empty so we had to buy our own. There is a very handy Lidl supermarket attached to the hotel which opened until 8pm.

TV only had a couple of useable channels and wifi was slow but nothing that spoiled our stay. The shampoo/shower gel dispenser in the shower was empty.

Nice location just across from the Marina , where my dogs enjoyed walking the circuit (about 45 minutes for the whole walk, out to the old pier) Very friendly, helpful staff - immediately make you feel at home. Nice room on 1st floor, effective double-glazing which immediately cuts out any external noise when closed. Comfy bed, plush carpets. Right next door to Lidl - for any food or drinks etc. A very nice, safe area - well-lit all around the marina - with all the apartments apparently occupied, and all very well cared-for.

No Air-con, so for anyone who is a hot-sleeper like me, it can get a bit over-warm. But there is a fan provided, so it's possible to create some air-circulation if needed.

The hotel has excellent parking shared with the shop next door, and is in a great location near some very nice restaurants in the redeveloped port area. Our room was well equipped, clean and comfortable. The breakfast bag was adequate, but there is a well known pub chain with cheap cooked breakfast options next door. Housekeeping staff were efficient and friendly. At the front desk William, Naomi and Inma were really helpful and professional, making this a very enjoyable stay. You went the extra mile, thank you!
