Ramada Bristol West

The second room was good, Had to change as a leaky window in the first room. But the manager was very apologetic and moved me straight away. very polite and helpful. Breakfast was mostly good however not all options were ready before 7.00 am, even though breakfast started at 6am. The items that were ready were cooked well and a good choice of cereals. toaster would not change setting so either warm bread or burnt. some staff were excellent while others were lacking. Quite rude even. Unfortunately I did not get any names.

Full range of breakfast should be ready when breakfast starts at 6.

Very convenient location just off the motorway, yet surprisingly quiet. Very good breakfast with most things you can think off. A bit disappointed that the pastry was only out on Sunday though. The room was nice and clean, shower was warm with good presure. And the bed felt like sleeping on a cloud, I found the blanket very cuddly. Very friendly and helpful staff.

My room was at the complete end of the building so it was a bit of a walk and many fire doors to open. But at least there was minimal hallway traffic. Unfortunately, nobody warned me about the horrendous noise that comes at 5am on Monday morning when they empty the bins for the neighbouring services. Not something I would want to experience again.

Room was clean, comfy and ideal for our stopover to see a concert at the O2, the X4 bus runs from just around the corner. The hand soap had ran I, I spoke to reception and the guy apologised and came down and swapped it immediately. Rooms were smart and clean and for the price it was ideal for my daughters and I. £2 adult single into town and after a slight haggle £25 taxi back, still cheaper than staying in town.

The place was clean but could do with a refresh, there's paint missing off the architrave and skirting as if someone's pushed a trolley into every wall possible. Aside from that it was fine.

Room was clean, plenty of towels, very comfy clean bed and a quiet area just as I asked for.

The parking! Awful, only about 20 places all taken! Then it was a mystery tour to find a space in a 1 way system around the services to find somewhere nearish to the hotel. Also the breakfast was poor! £8.50 at checkin (the night before so it made it prepaid as it would be £10 on the morning) Coffee machine was empty! I was the only customer at 8.30am. All the hot options had clearly been waiting a while for me as all dried out/hard, fruit/yogs/croisants ok. Bread for toast was dried out but as I was toasting it, it was ok.

Hotel could do with update Easy to miss turning into Car park we had to drive out of services and around busy island again as we missed it first time. Also the entrance is not obvious we followed another family from car park and ended up walking all around building on muddy grass verge next to roads before coming right back to our car and then saw the path to door There were few people who did the same

the staff were exceptional at the Ramada. They were extremely helpful polite and friendly. nothing was too much trouble. It was an added bonus that there was a deal on for dinner and breakfast. £25 per person for dinner, starter or pudding plus main meal and a drink included and also all you could eat for breakfast. My husband is a coeliac and the chef checked a couple of times with his choice for main meal. All above and beyond. We can’t recommend this hotel enough. what a pleasant surprise as it was just a stopover from Anglesey to Cornwall.

Room good size,, lovely powerful shower, loved the shower gel, smelt devine, clean & comfy bed. Staff were amazingly friendly & helpful. We took our golden retriever dog and we were given a ground floor room near the entrance which was ideal and perfect area for breakfast where our dog could sit with us. The breakfast was nice too, hot tasty and value for money. Will definitely be returning, thank you to all the staff for being so attentive, friendly & helpful. Great value for money

I'm being picky saying this and not unusual to experience but as we were on the ground floor the room above us their floor was very creaky when they moved around, did wake us up

The fact that we could take our dog and he was made so welcome. The staff were wonderful. The maintenance man, Simon, went above and beyond to help us jump start our car after I'd flattened tge battery by leaving an electric cool box running all night!

The road noise and noise from other residents moving around upstairs as it was alien to the dog and he was unsettled by it several times in the night. We were expecting this though as it is within a service area for a very busy motorway.

Good customer service: when I reported to the duty manager in the morning that my air conditioning did not work and that it was stuck open 18 degrees, throwing out cold air and unable to be closed down and giving me a very cold and uncomfortable night's (not) sleep, without my requesting this (since I had not reported it after booking in owing to arriving extremely late), he offered me a complementary room on my next visit. This went way beyond my expectations: so thank you.

Air conditioning - see above. While there was an oil-filled radiator in the room this could not compete with the constant throwing out of cold air. The room was fine for the price, though the pillows were solid and not giving at all.

Convenient location for our needs (Bristol Airport). Bed was comfortable but had issue with pillow (see what I didn't like). Good range of amenities within a 2 min walk at the M5 services. Despite being very close to the M5, the traffic noise wasn't as apparent as expected.

Only one pillow provided, and it was more like the size of a cushion. Slight traffic noise. No instructions on how to control heating, so it was either too hot or too cold. Seals on windows not airtight, so some cold air seeping into the room.
