G Boutique Hotel

Centrally located in Southsea, minutes away from Albert Road or the boating lake. Comfortable, clean and spacious rooms. Friendly staff, with a good choice of breakfast menu (although there weren't any tomatoes for the entire three nights we stayed). We particularly liked that breakfast was served until 10.30am, giving us a little longer lie-in! Complimentary water was also a nice touch.

The WI-FI was down when we arrived, which meant we had problems paying with our credit cards. It was eventually resolved but somewhat a little embarrassing. A bigger wardrobe is required. The one in our room was of child size, meaning you couldn't really hang anything up without it dragging on the bottom.

Very stylish, unique bed and breakfast and perfectly situated for the beach and other attractions.

This is my second visit to G boutique and again for me breakfast was a little disappointing. There is a wide variety of things to choose both on the hot and cold selection however my omelette was a little over cooked for my personal taste and as mentioned in my previous feedback the veggie sausage could be a bit better quality, there are lots of choices on the market these days. Maybe a Lincolnshire style would be preferable. Everything else though was good and i would happily book again.

Great place I totally enjoyed my stay. The staff should be commended for their hard work. The girl on the desk was so polite and she had a big smile on her face, which makes all the difference. I have been traveling around the UK and never was I offered breakfast in my room from any guest house or hotel. So the G boutique has a very good advantage against other holiday let's I highly recommend this lovely hotel to anyone. I have no negatively at all during my stay. This hotel will be one of my favourites. Just one additional thing maybe smart Tvs would give that extra enhancement. Thank you G boutique.

The breakfast was lovely as was the beautiful room I stayed in. Really clean and gorgeous rose petals on the bed and birthday banners it met my expectations and more an amazing experience.

Lighting could have been better in such a large room no bedside lamps. The noise from the room upstairs was dreadful until the very early hours. And a lot of slamming doors by guests. And there was no one in reception early so any help I needed was difficult as I had to go into the breakfast bar at least (3) times which was not ideal. I was kindly ordered a cab then told I had to stay outside for it. Departure maybe a bit more friendly. The young guy on Saturday evening was very good as always.

Room was really nice, spacious and clean. Tea and coffee etc in the room. The bed was super comfy and I slept like a log! Good shower. Breakfast was excellent with a good choice of foods. I had the full English and my only gripe was slightly too much oil on the plate but I ate every bit - yum! My husband had the omelette which he said was very good. Parked on the road but got a permit from reception so no problem at all. Good location for the theatre and pubs/bar etc. Would definitely stay again if in Portsmouth.

Bed was a bit squeaky!!

Great, and spacious room, although was very hot (couldn't easily adjust the radiator - which 'backed' directly onto the Bed's headboard!). Bed comfortable. Good in-room facilities. Couldn't get the free WiFi to work properly on either my phone or laptop, which was a minor inconvenience ... Very nice, friendly, and helpful, staff :) Decent parking options (Hotel has some spaces + a few parking-permits) Amazing breakfast - awesome!!! Nice and Clean !!! - 'Value was fantastic. To be honest I've stayed at places '3-times the cost' ; and -this- place is so much better !!! I'll definitely be back, thank you :)

WiFi wouldn't connect on any of my devices, despite using the correct password 'in the book' Room very hot

An interesting small hotel with fabulous quirky decor and furnishings. Totally different from an average chain hotel! Very generous freshly cooked breakfast with an extremely wide range of options for a couple of vegetarians! Helpful and friendly staff and no parking problems. Location is truly excellent if you're arriving or departing the ferry port especially if you're visiting the Historic Dockyards. A very frequent bus to the main gate (much closer than the car park!) and at a cost for two far loess than the car park at the Dockyards or Gunwharf shopping.

Nothing really - on three storeys with quite steep steps and no lift which might create difficulties for some I suppose. Ditto a bit of a hike to local eateries and shops but to be fair there was a good choice available

This is a beautiful hotel with a quirk, and I adored it. Ten minutes walk from the sea front in one direction and ten minutes walk to Southsea shops in the other. There is a bus stop near by. Parking for four cars on the forecourt and the hotel has parking passes for guests who have to park on the road. (Don't lose or drive off with a pass. There is a charge for doing so.) The breakfast room is neat and tidy, and the breakfast I had was tasty. My room (I stayed in Good Times) was clean, and the bed was comfortable. I stayed one night but will be booking in later in the year for a couple of nights.

The only thing I had a problem with was the selector on the top of the bath taps, to switch between bath and shower.

The room was fine. We slept well in comfortable beds. The hotel well situated for our needs. Parking on the street was easy. The breakfast was good. The girls serving did their best. The situation meant we could walk out for a few minutes to plenty of good restaurants and shops.

We were on the top floor. There is no lift. So it's a long haul for the elderly. The girl serving breakfast had very little English beyond the basic breakfast vocabulary. We had to move the car before 11 from that street which would be a problem if we had planned a day's site seeing.

It was very comfy and spacious. We had a lovely welcome on arrival. Jacuzzi was great.

There was a few items that were broken (windowsill in the bathroom, toilet seat we kept sliding off when using, the bathroom door wouldn’t close properly). We noticed the mattress was grubby when the cover came off and there where some cobwebs on the ceiling in the bedroom. We did use the mini fridge but the door wouldn’t close properly, it did keep my coke cans chill though. Overall though, the bed was super large and comfy. Bonus! And made up for it.
