Holiday Inn London-Shepperton, an IHG Hotel

1. Breakfast was repetitive for the 8days of stay 2. The pool was super cold - we expected it to be warm especially for kids. Also quite old a facility 3. Not easy to get taxi especially xl and some traffic at peak hours around the corner 4. No portal service, trolley has to be self-managed. 4. A few itches in the room facilities and equipment- e.g heater or coolong equipment malfunctioning

This was a lovely hotel in beautiful surroundings. Very comfortable and lovely decor in a contemporary style. There is a wellness centre with gym pool and steam rooms etc which was open every day and very relaxing. The hotel staff were all very helpful and friendly and especially lovely was Kane at reception, nothing was too much trouble and his local knowledge of the area was very helpful to us. We had an issue with our room on the first night and this was sorted out quickly with a new room allocated. The food was also lovely with a buffet breakfast with everything that you could want. This was a lovely hotel with welcoming staff which we enjoyed very much.

It was a very busy hotel especially in the evening with some queues at the bar for food and drinks.

Hotel is spotless, rooms are lovely, modern & spotless too, nice & cool & very comfortable. The staff were very welcoming & polite. Had such a great stay that we have booked to return in December

The bathroom is so lovely, but the door at the bottom where obviously water gets on it is not very pleasant, all the wood has swelled cracked & split which is quite unsightly, which is such a shame considering the rest of the bathroom is so nice. Our friends & families rooms had exactly the same problem! Maybe a plastic or chrome kick panel should be screwed to it to prevent the water damage.

Everything else including the concierge young lady greeting us and seating us for breakfast. Julie a waitress on a sat and sun special mention for brightening our day. Also special mention to young blonde long haired lady on reception Sunday 2nd July who found my purse and made sure I got it back. Thank you all we will be back again.

I had a birthday party of friends to meet in the bar which was closed by 11pm. We were caught in our restaurant an hour past time. Had no idea on Saturday night a Hotel bar closed so early. As residents we have always been able to get a drink until after midnight. Bar staff need training, their understanding of pouring a glass of prosecco was seriously lacking if they have to use a measure to pour it into a glass lovely manners and very pleasant smiles they really tried but needed to know properly how to serve a customer this drink.

We arrived early & met Nina at reception, who kindly arranged for our things to be looked after securely whilst we had a walk. At check in Nina was exceptionally friendly yet still professional. The room was much as expected, & on a very hot day we were grateful for the AC to be on & the room to be cool. Nice linens/ towels /toiletries compliments tray. The outside area was spacious and very well set out. We had a very nice dinner outside ( good vegetarian offerings). Breakfast was very impressive. 1 chef on duty, but I still received a vegetarian sausage and poached eggs cooked to order. My partner enjoyed the buffet, which was fresh/ hot. I would recommend this establishment to anyone. We will definitely be returning & will make use of the leisure facilities.

It is very difficult to find any fault. If I were to be ultra picky, hot chocolate sachet & skimmed milk as part of the compliment tray.

Breakfast was excellent - good variety. Fresh and attractively presented. Waiters were very slow to clear table so one had unwanted plates/bowl, cutlery cluttering the table between courses.

See above regarding service at table. I walk with a stick and bar staff did not offer to bring drinks purchased to table. Also was over-charged by young barman - when challenged the bill total was almost £4 less!!! He said he had removed the service charge. When I returned for a further order, he ignored me and another person, a woman, who was otherwise busy was obliged to serve me. Also did not appreciate the ‘artwork’ daubed on the bedroom mirror presumably by the housekeeping staff!

I like the size of the room, good location if you drive and know the area. It's great that it has a leisure facility and restaurant with outdoor space. Parking available onsite and £3.00 for an overnight charge is cheap compared to some hotels I've stayed in.

I am not sure how close the amenities od the surrounding area are on foot. The kettle in the room did not have a filter screen at the spout to keep the limescale at bay. There wasn't a great selection of tea in the room, very basic and noisy air-con that made noises for a few minutes and woke me up twice in the middle-of the night and first thing in the morning too, when it wasn't even on. I did report it upon check-out, so hopefully, it has been checked and resolved.

excellent location!

the Booking.com site offered a choice of twin or 2 singles. I requested 2 singles and I received a confirmation “subject to availability”. We arrived quite late to find we had been given a twin bed. Firstly I was told that Booking.Com hadn’t forwarded my request. However, in the morning when I checked out, a different person at the desk had received my request but because it was subject to availability, the hotel hadn’t taken the time to reserve me desired room, but waited until we checked in, by which time the hotel was fully booked. I feel that there was a communication breakdown between Booking.com and the hotel.

We checked in at 00:30 but were greeted by the friendly receptionist Gabriel. It was late and we were tired and just wanted to go to bed. However Imd made a mistake with our booking & reserved the wrong dates. It could gave bern a nightmare but Gabriel was kind and reassuring and fixed the problem. That level of customer service provided an excellent start to our experience and left a lasting impression.

The hotel was very busy and our room wasn’t serviced after our second night. I didn’t feel this was taken seriously or compensated for in words or actions by the evening staff. That was a disappointment.

The inside of the hotel was very well maintained, and the parking charge was reasonable. The hotel is set in a beautiful location. The adult meals were good, and breakfast selection was great, with hot food being fresh. The pool and changing rooms were clean and the pool was lovely and warm to use. The sauna and spa pool was also great to use and clean.

The kids' meals could do with a bit of work. It's great that the kids' meals are free with an adult meal, but I would rather pay a little and have better quality chicken goujons rather than battered hard chicken nuggets. The only other point I would have was the restaurant and bar area was a bit cold. We would have liked to stay and enjoy a drink in the bar but felt cold after eating my meal. Sorry, we should have also said the 1 single duvet for 2 kids was difficult, but on looking back, we should have come and asked for another duvet.
