I arrived earlier than I planned. They went out of their way to get me into my room early. I was extremely grateful for that. The English breakfast was pretty good. I used this hotel for walking the Surrey section of the Thames Path from Windsor to Hampton over 1.5 days. It was a good base for doing that, and they stored my luggage after checkout so i could complete my walk next morning which I really appreciated. I liked my room (except for the wifi). There is a direct hourly bus 555 from Heathrow Central & Terminal 4 to Shepperton stops about 10 minutes from hotel if your luggage is not too heavy. Takes 1 hour, slow but sure.

The wifi in the room was so bad that it would be more accurate to say not available in rooms. The wifi is fine in the bar and reception though so I took my laptop down there to edit and upload my Thames Path pictures. But that wasn't great either as i was told to clear out of the bar very soon after time was called at 11pm even though I had just bought another pint! This hotel does not accept cash, only cards, even at the bar.

the lady on the desk was amazing so friendly and accommodating with real old fashioned values when it came to service to be honest it was her that sold the whole experience to me, the food was lovely and very well made we enjoyed everything thank you for a great visit we stayed in what we regard as the best room at the lodge which will remain our little secret lol...

drink were a little pricey along with food probably due to having a "captive audience" as you would need to drive to town for anything else another disappointment was that the chef closed the kitchen early this did not effect us as we had already dined bit some other guest were unhappy as they were told he was tired ?.

Location was perfect for what I needed, easy to access main roads and routes in the area. The room was basic, but perfectly adequate. Staff were accommodating and the whole place felt very calm. I was there during the flower show and it didn't feel hectic.

Walls were very thin, I could hear every noise my neighbour made. The WiFi was great to have, although it started to struggle later in the evening as presumably more people accessed it. No hairdryer (although I didnt ask for one) and the shower took a bit of figuring out due to additional switches for power.

I have used Warren Lodge before to host business events and to stay and wanted to use it for this trip. The location itself is good, next to the river. Breakfast good and fulfilling served straight away, no long waits. Staff pleasant and polite. The room was basic, very clean and comfortable. Everything worked, including WiFi and the shower at the top of the building, good water pressure and temperature. Value for money is great in my view. Easy access from the M3 and M25, but you have to negotiate suburban traffic with has peak times. For the more adventerous there is a foot ferry across the Thames only 10 minutes walk away (£3 single) which leads directly on to the Thames Path, a one hour leisurely walk to Walton-on-Thames.

The Achilles heel for Warren Lodge is parking as it shares the small Church Square parking area with the Anchor Hotel and is always busy. I considered myself lucky to find a parking spot, timing my arrival mid afternoon deliberately. There is a public P&D car park about 5 minutes walk away, but I wouldn't like to park there overnight.

Location of Warren Lodge is wonderful for those whom love to sit by a river whilst watching boats & barges drift by, and what a river The Thames at a point in it's journey where swans & various species of water bird venture. Try a nice bottle of Chardonnay reasonable priced to sit in the sun with & you have all the cheer you need for one glorious afternoon in the sun. My room was well stocked with all the basic essentials, the en suit was just sizable for the double bedroom which over looked the river & the tranquility of sounds.

Location is fabulous close to the train station ( a good mile walk ) as both taxi ranks had light’s on but doors locked!! Two occasions. Fabulous garden/terrace garden on The Thames. Great little boozer next door and the locals were very welcoming.

Our stay was for two nights, perhaps a little picky but the room cups weren’t changed/washed and no top up of tea/coffee/milk, . Popped down for a coffee and no stasis available until 8am. Bathroom sink not clean. Only cold water for the bath ( shower was ok ) Breakfast staff ( female) constantly huffed and puffed and pulling one of her colleagues apart verbally, whilst not around then to his face. ( she wasn’t organised herself) NO i IN TEAM Next morning chef no show for breakfast- hour late Staff were frantically running around. The lodge needs to look it’s management to then support its staff.

Our room was great overlooking the water. Friendly welcom and staff.

The outside seating area looked tatty and lacking flowers so the metal furniture could have done with a clean or fresh coat of paint. The hotel was not serving food all weekend other than breakfast so we had to walk to another pub for our lunch and evening meal so that was disappointing. We feel that the hotel needs some TLC to make it more welcoming physically fir guests. We feel this could be achieved with a smallish budget.

Staff were very friendly. Room was very large with a beautiful view of the river and boating club. There was a shared terrace outside our full length windows. Food in the restaurant was very nice and reasonably priced. Bed large and comfy. Bar quiet in the evening. there is a pub next door. 20 minute walk into the village and there are a couple more restaurants and pub. Train station also in walking distance, we had a day in London via train

The room was advertised as a club room, this included a view, bowl of fruit, still and sparkling water, gowns and a free newspaper. None of these except the view were in the room on arrival. To be honest it's the view I wanted so did not follow up the missing extras. Had to use a fan every night as the radiator would not turn off or down.

The location of the place was really nice and easily accessible. Breakfast was tasty. Room was a good size. We didn't want to sleep with the windows open as we were on the ground floor but it was very hot so staff gave us a fan which was nice. Housekeeping were very friendly.

Whilst breakfast itself was nice it could have done with better coordination, there seemed to always be lots of uncleaned tables. Our room was really nice but it was on the ground floor and one of the window latches was broken so it never closed properly (might be a security concern for some). the rooms and building was a bit dated and could do with redecorating in parts.

Quaint, lovely area, comfortable bed. Nice to have some herbal teas in the room and not just the usual tea and coffee.

I was late because of traffic and arrived at 4.45. Check-in is from 2pm. I was told my room wouldn’t be ready until 5.30 as they had been busy. 5.30???? When check in is from 2pm???? I was supposed to be at a birthday party at 6.30 and didn’t arrive until 7.20 because of this. Shower was quite small which isn’t the end of the world but it had an annoying shower curtain rather than a shower screen, which stuck to you every time you moved!!
