The suite was beautiful and comfortable, Edwina was a nice host and the English breakfast was great, also she provided us a power adapter that seems to be used only in UK

The issue with this property is public transport, it could take around 1hr 20min to reach London central and around 2hr 20 min to reach Heathrow Airport with multiple transfers and waking distances. This is more of a problem for uk and it’s awful transport system we you compared it with other European countries, besides that the transport is extremely expensive so take it in consideration if you plan to stay here and use the public transport, around the hotel place there is not much to do

Excellent location for my needs, very quiet and peaceful and yet in easy reach of everything. Edwina made me feel very welcome. She also cooked an excellent breakfast which set me up for the day!

Although the place was great it may not be to everyone's taste as it was much more like staying with a favourite relative and some might like something more anonymous. Parking was a little tight but that was not the fault of West End Lodge rather those around the property. This may well have been solved by the time the next person comes along as it was due to building work nearby, this was not noisy or intrusive I hasten to add. However, I managed better than I thought I would.

We were going to Hampton Court Flower Show so booked here as seemed close by. The property is over 200 years old and full of character. Our double room was large with everything you would expect. The bed was so comfy, we both had an excellent nights sleep. The breakfast was delicious which included a full english with fried bread, a real treat! Edwina was very welcoming and gave advice how to get to the show. We drove to Apps Court farm park & ride which took us to Hampton, then got a ferry boat right upto the Hampton Court show. Very easy way to get there. Our stay at West End Lodge was relaxing and peaceful and we would definitely stay again if next in the area.

I liked everything about this little guest house. However, the shower is over the bath with a shower curtain all round so i feel a grab rail should be fitted, for safety measures.

Quiet. Clean. The host who ran it was friendly and happily answered our questions. The furnishings were interesting and functional and looked like antiques. The room was very spacious with large windows and beautiful drapery. Linens were of high quality, too. The full English breakfast was filling, good, and thoughtfully put together. Wi-fi was good. Location has nice sidewalks for a stroll around a neat, safe neighborhood. It was a half block from the Price of Wales pub, which was a highlight of our visit because people (servers and guests) and pets were friendly, and food and drinks were good.

Nothing of big note. Shower curtain was a little tricky to keep closed. I couldn't find the light switch in the bathroom and was afraid to pull the cord next to the door that probably turned on the lights... plenty of natural light during the day. If I'd had another day, I would have taken a leisurely soak in the nice big tub. Steps to room were a little steep, but I've dealt with a lot worse.

We had a wonderful stay here. Edwina is extremely helpful and our room was beautiful. It was spacious with a lovely bathroom, lovely warm shower and there was even a small fridge with water and juice for us along with a kettle for tea and coffee. Edwina and her daughter also went above and beyond to help us get to the wedding we were attending as we couldn't get a taxi and we can't thank them enough. Such lovely people and a gorgeous stay. The breakfast was also really delicious.

There was really nothing we didn't like!

Edwina is so eager to please and provides a friendly personal service. The rooms and linen are spotless and the facilities and breakfast ample. Edwina will also book you in for an evening meal at the pub down the road and obtain you a 20% discount on the meal! The house and garden are restful and tranquil providing a very relaxed environment.

Unfortunately Edwina was having to cope with a lack of connectivity with the internet which appeared to prevent the television functioning due to lack of signal. It was out of her control but annoying that there was no connection when I needed it. Car parking is tight but a great asset.

We found our stay very satisfactory. The premises was clean and tidy and had a very homely atmosphere. Edwina who owns the lodge is an absolute delight and very helpful making sure we had everything we needed. Room was comfy and provided for a good nights sleep. A hearty breakfast prepared by Edwina topped of out stay and prepared us for a busy morning ahead. I was happily recommend the West End Lodge to others who are looking for a clean, quiet and welcoming place to stay.

There was nothing of note to dislike. If I was to be picking then the curtains in the bedroom were too thin and did not allow for a dark room once the sun was up and some additional plug sockets in the bedroom to allow for recharging of phones and iPads would have been welcomed.

What a relaxing and peaceful stay. Edwina is helpful, friendly and gets the balance of host - always available but never invasive - spot on. Would definitely recommend and would return. We went to Hampton Court and the location -10 or so minute drive- was ideal. Also excellent links to Waterloo. Lovely local pub,Prince of Wales but close to (short drive) other restaurants too. Very quiet, I could never day time nap in a Travelodge!

You'd need to be a real grump to not enjoy it here.

Excellent, leafy location with pub/restaurant and village green/cricket pitch within 5 minutes walk. Comfortable, large room and en-suite. Handy for Hampton Court visit. Edwina was very welcoming and helpful. Edwina booked us evening meal at nearby pub, with a 20% reduction on the food. Convenient, free parking.

Wi-Fi in room was poor; it would not run some apps. Breakfast cereals choice was limited, mainly high sugar ones; coffee was only enough for one cup each, though Edwina offered to make more; yoghurts were the smallest I have seen and only fruit (high sugar ones) with no natural ones; no choice of eggs, only fried.

A charming little house with B&B provided by the lady who lives there.

a) There was no problem, but the posting on booking.com led me to expect that this was a hotel, whereas in fact its a private residence providing B&B. B) I had a slight difficulty finding which house it was. It would be good to put a sign next to the front door to remove the ambiguity.
