We chose Sandown Park Lodge because it is close (15-20 min walk) to a railway station (Esher) that has frequent trains running to London Waterloo, had on-site parking and good restaurants nearby. Communications with the Lodge was easy and efficient. It was easy to get to being just a couple of miles off the A3. The room was compact but comfortable and whilst the décor is a little bit dated it was spotlessly clean. The staff were very helpful. Breakfast was a continental style buffet and sufficient for our needs. We highly recommend two nearby restaurants: The Giggling Squid and the Sherpa Kitchen. We would happily stay at Sandown Lodge again.

Booked in at 3 and the room was very clean, and ready for me. The receptionist was pleasant and informative. Everything I needed for my short stay. Bed comfortable, and good sized well furnished room. 2 windows I could open which was great as a very hot day. Shut them at night due to traffic noise, but fan also supplied if required., Hairdryer in room. Perfect value for money with friendly staff and easy parking near the A3 for ease of travel.

The only thing I found slightly difficult were the stairs as no lift, but solid handrail, so not major problem.

I recently had a wonderful stay at Sandown Park Lodge, a charming bed and breakfast. From the moment I arrived, the staff greeted me with big smiles and made me feel incredibly welcome throughout my stay. The rooms were comfortable and well-maintained, and the breakfast was absolutely delicious, offering a great start to each day. However, the only downside was the light entering the room through the windows. While the view was lovely, better blinds would have made it more comfortable, especially for those who prefer a darker sleeping environment. Despite this minor inconvenience, I thoroughly enjoyed my time at Sandown Park Lodge. The warmth and hospitality of the staff truly stood out, making the experience even more memorable. I would like to extend a special mention to all the staff members for their excellent service. Overall, it was a great stay, and I would highly recommend Sandown Park Lodge to anyone looking for a cozy and welcoming bed and breakfast experience.

Amazing staff, receptionist was the loveliest and so helpful - sole reason I will be staying again. The room was a standard double and met my needs, got everything I paid for. Felt secure, phone numbers of relevant people were clearly displayed if ever in need. Breakfast was nice - cereal, toast, yogurt, variety of croissants, juices and jams available. The coffee was superb! Right next door to town - 5 mins walk to Tesco and local restaurants. Less than a mile away from the station and of course a minute walk to the entrance of Sandown Racecourse. My new fave place to stay in Esher.

When I stayed the nighttime temperature was 19°c. The room was not air-conditioned and required the windows to be left fully open to lower the room temperature. Wouldn’t be an issue except for the freak September weather we were experiencing. The Hotel entrance from the main road is very hard to spot, particularly in the dark. It is some way on from the Google maps position and is actually the main road entrance to Sandown race course . (These are minor points though!)

We've stayed at Sandown Park several times and has become our "go to" when we need a place. Set back from the road far enough not to be wakened by the noise of the somewhat busy road. It's basic but comfortable and clean, breakfast is adequate, serve yourself style and consists of toast with various jams, marmalade etc, cereal, fruit and pastries, tea, coffee and juice. The rooms are standard, comfy beds, a good shower, TV and kettle/tea/coffee. The staff are very welcoming and happy to help with anything you may need.

Great location with amazing and friendly staff, Very welcoming and you felt nothing was too much trouble at all. Clean room, and internal room facilities were satisfactory for a one night stay

Sorry - The bed was not comfortable, I understand the need for twin beds becoming a single (king split) but there was literally nothing over the top of the join, and with a very soft mattress it made for an uncomfortable nights sleep. Breakfast was very simple, could do with a better selection.

So convenient for the racecourse of course. Staff were friendly and efficient. As we were there for a raceday we got a good cooked breakfast, Enjoyed being able to watch racehorses being unloaded from their horse boxes from our room. Comfy bed or good size and, unlike many, not too high. Good shower albeit over bath. Windows that open for fresh air.

No big deal but room decor a bit tired. Sink and bath/shower make an horrendous racket. No long wardrobe space - had to hang my dress for the races from the curtain rail. Plenty of space for jackets and trousers though. Area with mirror and hair dryer and coffee making alcove ould do with some light. Room lighting was basically dark or very bright and a small green light in the ceiling lights the room too much overnight.

Staff friendly and very helpful. Room very clean with comfortable beds. Excellent location within easy walking distance of Esher Town centre and next door to the Sandown Business Centre.

Cold breakfast was only bread /toast, croissant, cereal, yoghurt, fruit and preserves. No cold meats or cheeses. However, we were able to bring in our own food and put in a fridge in dining area. We told hotel well in advance we had mobility issues. Whilst we were given a ground floor room, the shower was over the bath, which was too high and deep to get in and out of, so couldn't use shower.

Convenient - especially for Sandown/Kempton/Cobham Antique Fairs/business meetings. Reasonably secure parking available. Varied & wide selection of continental breakfast available, but would stay more often if a cooked breakfast was available - other than that can't fault it and love staying there. Staff are helpful, friendly and available at odd hours and gates locked for security eve's.

Varied & wide selection of continental breakfast available, but would stay more often if a cooked breakfast was available - I am diabetic Staff sorted me toast as I was leaving early, so maybe having a breakfast pot you can make in your room if you are leaving at 5am for the Kempton Park or other local Antique fairs would be an option??
